Are you replacing people by request? I think it's kind of derp for him to do that without a legit reason. Disliking one out of, what, twenty-plus people? Not good reason imo.

Trying to guess out the PR's in the town. For instance, House M.D. (if used) would more likely than not be a doctor or some saving role. To fit the character.

The thing is, no-one's actually given a reason why it would help the town in any way. Going 'Well it can't hurt' if it won't help either isn't a great idea, since there's always the possibility of it helping scum in a way you haven't thought of. Make a positive case for it other than 'Derp why not' and people might think about it.

Yes, if someone requests to replace out, I will look for a replacement. I don't agree with the reasoning, but if he wants out.. his call I will honor that.

But, if the alignments are randomised, then the roles would probably have some amount of randomness in them, too?

Not at all. It would make the game easier for the Mafia to figure out who the town's PRs are. It wouldn't help the town at all.

We'd be most afraid of obviously paired characters flagging up the possibility of masons, to be honest. I mean, for example if you were in a Simpsons game and two people claimed Carl and Lenny, what would you think if you were scum?

I'm not sure I follow the arguments against name claiming.. surely the roles would be random, and the characters simply providing some flavour as opposed to full briefs?

Ok, say you are correct in your assessment.

What advantage does Town get from Mass Claiming Names?

Scum don't have to worry about fake-claiming via scrambled flavor.

If Town doesn't get any advantage from doing it then it is an exercise in wasting posts.

Nope. And I actually have no idea who I am because I don't follow the series.

As for name claiming, I don't see a particular reason to name claim because there's probably nothing useful to be gained from it.

What the hell, most have confirmed and talking is game related..

TV Land has always been a peaceful place however a new threat has emerged, someone is going around bumping off characters throughout the various TV networks of the world. Big name characters are expected to be hit at random can you stop the killers before it is too late? The biggest TV Star of all time Jason Talbot (screen name: jasonT1981) was found dead and it sets in.
