There's nothing special about those groupings of 4 that would allow you to make that type of deduction, xReck. Your argument applies equally well to any 4 minis with their playerlists subdivided into teams randomly, i.e. not at all.

One team has three scum PMs. That leaves 9 among the remaining 12 teams, so at least 3 are scum.

That is usable logic, especially if your team has inside information like investigative results, or feels incredibly strongly about one person or another.

You're not using any property of Team Mafia beyond the fact that there are groups of 4 which are slightly more natural to consider. There's no relation between the games in the manner you're describing.

*at least three are town

Maybe I just got lucky this time around, but using that sort of deductive reasoning (this team has three scum so there are 3 teams out there that are all-town) helped me set up a chart, and that chart helped me clear a bunch of people as scum/town.

You just got lucky. The only way role generation was different in Team Mafia lay in the ability of team members to pick their PMs knowing what role it held and your argument doesn't use that in any way.

Yeah. That sort of bothered me when I got the random list and saw that the vast majority of teams had exactly one scum player. I knew that someone would apply that faulty logic and be right for the wrong reasons because of it. But so it goes.

Cept this tournament was frauded by obvious OUT OF GAME ALLIANCES.

My god.

We even had out of game QUICKTOPICS to plot our unholy alliances.

Of COURSE they dont feel obligated to show their thinking

I petition for a title block like the scummies hoss yea.

And, I have absolutely no beef at all with LLD winning the losing MVP. Kudos.

A TITLE BLOCK, YOU SAY?

And LLD, I meant no offense at all. I was screaming how bleedingly obvtown you were from the start. And Amrun jumped into White Flag and was like ALRIGHT BITCHES WE'RE DOING SHIT RIGHT and made me fall in love but then it still fell to shit. I re-read our SDC QT this afternoon and was facepalming at me and Socio going WHITE FLAG IS OVER on D1... ohhhh boy.

Zach wrote:Surprised I got any votes for town MVP in Psychic Mafia. I basically chilled while Ythill got lynched without lifting a finger, and meh picked Swiftstrike for death.

I'm not -- you killed a scumbag BY YOURSELF, and scum took you out due to whatever. I'd say you did pretty well.

@Katsuki: Yeah, that's what we figured out about halfway through... so you sheeping me and not doing anything else in Psychic mafia would help us go over in the end :P

:'( I still am so upset over the fact tha I had 100% perfect reads and let myself be wifomed out of them.

One big part of it was mith doing the famous hop onto Llamarble's wagon; my scumpairthatmadeperfectsense no longer made sense.

The other part is me not being confident enough in myself. Ometimes I get into this "if absolutely no one agrees with me I must not be right" mindset. This game absolutely proves that not to be true.

I am still so damn gutted by this loss. X.X

Who cares about the partners that are still alive?
Those perceptions can always change.
The partner that was dead, was not going anywhere.
And actually confirmed as scum.
And the way mith was tied to DGB, was enough for death.

But it is not like I spent the time of effort to make an in-depth case describing and defining exactly how mith was tied to DGB or exactly how he would act and respond to such before he ever even had a chance to respond.
