Welcome to Hilton Las Vegas. You are having a wonderful time in this luxury hotel/casino, and it would even be better if only the mafia had not rented rooms as well...

This is a fairly normal mafia game, except for the financial twist. Everybody starts the game with 10000 USD. Every night, you can bid to hire a bodyguard (to protect you at night) and/or a lawyer (to try to protect you during the day from the lynching mob). Highest bidders get the protection - if their bids are considered sufficient. In addition, you can choose to gamble in the casino (playing odd/even numbers only, if you win you get double your stakes back). Gambling can only be done once every night.

All the usual rules apply:

During the game's nights, everyone who has to do so sends me an E-mail.
Do not post anything relevant during the night.
In the "morning" I announce the events of the night.
During the daytime you discuss and vote to kill someone. I will announce beforehand how many votes are required for killing.
It is my prerogative to set a time limit on the voting; I will announce that at least 24 hours before the limit expires.
Under no circumstance are you allowed to show any E-mails from me or others.
Please do not discuss this game via AIM, E-mails (unless you are part of a group, and then only when it is night) or IRL.....
If you are dead, you are dead. Do not post any information afterwards.
The moderator (that's me) is always right; you may not like it, but mods put a lot of effort in creating and moderating the game and their decision should be final.

So bodyguards and laywers are actual players? How will we know when somone is protected by a lawyer? Can we exchange money with other players? If we can buy and sell votes it would seem no one would have to waste any money if are gonna get lynched. However I could see it possibly unbalancing the game too.
