Full Communications Mafia (Town wins)

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Mon Sep 02, 2002 6:25 am

Post by Sofis »

Welcome to the tiny village of Babblebrook. Due to the rather extreme lack of entertainment options available in a village this size (population 21), the villagers have turned elsewhere to amuse themselves: gossip.
There have always been rumours going around that some of the villagers are members of the mafia, but now a new rumour is spreading: the mafia means to kill everyone else in town. Why? The rumour doesn't say, but perhaps it's because the neighbours let their cows crap on their lawn. At any rate, the night the mafia (supposedly) are to strike has arrived...

Roles will be sent minutes after this posting. Please confirm and send choices ASAP. The 48 hour night rule will (for this night only) not apply, but please hurry anyway.

Since the deadline is up, I've made a random choice for any players/groups who failed to turn in such.

The sun has barely peeked above the horizon when the news spread about town like wildfire.
Eillid is
dead
!!
Within half an hour the townspersons equipped with a sense of morbid curiousity (all of them) have gathered at eillid's house to investigate. As they enter eillid's bedroom they are met with a most macabre sight: In her bed lies eillid, apparently having been shot several times, the sheets drenched with blood. And at the foot of the bed... the severed head of a cow! After staring in shock for what seems like an eternity, the townspeople, having no sense of decency whatsoever, ransack the house to find out eillid's dirty secrets. After finding nothing more incriminating than a bunch of half-written erotic novellas they sadly conclude that eillid was a perfectly normal law-abiding citizen. Eventually, they wander away to discuss, in public and in private, what is to be done about this horror.

Eillid is dead, she was a townie. 11 to lynch

The severed head of a cow 8O?? What kind of a mafia is this? I think they've been watching too much Godfather and didn't have a horse at hand. What could this mean? Is the head just to juice up the story or does it mean more :??

I'll hold my vote for now. Maybe I can learn something from the gossip :).

Well, after what they did at Enron & Worldcom, I am going to be very suspicious of any accountants.
