Nox is on vacation. She should be back and posting soon.

I'm willing to
unvote:SK, Vote:Olio
. I don't think that SK is really that scummy.

BTW, I think the problem with her quotations are the quotation marks, but I'm not sure how.
This is just here so my posts don't look so ugly when I edit them.

Ditto. I've not missed a single post. Ah, the irony of SaberKitty playing "good little poster/prodder."

I'm happy with my current vote, but I am pretty interested in all of those who are still chastising Vesuvan for choosing not to claim when under pressure. Claiming should
always
be a last resort and Vesuvan did quite well talking himself out of the noose without spilling his role. Bravo, I say.

So, we have a bandwagon on Vesuvan that gets up to 9 votes (LoudmouthLee and SaberKitty respectively being the ones putting him one vote away--and I acknowledge there was a vote count error before Loudmouth's vote.)

Then a new wagon forms on SaberKitty which gets to 8 votes (PBuG putting on the last).

And now there is some momentum going towards Olio.

I see some legitimate points made, especially against these last two, but, I've never been a follower. Prefer to blaze my own trails as it were, and what I see right now is
one
person on all three of those wagons, with very little reasoning. Flagrantly bandwagoning as it were.

Vote: Someone

I know there are many others in this game who have been very quick to vote and unvote also, with just as little reasoning, but Someone is the only one with this particular distinction--at least as of yet.

Okay. Im back.
SK - I had clearly stated I was away.

My overall impression right now is that Im getting scum tells from PBug. He seems to have no reasoning of his own, and adheres to whatever main bandwagon there is.His posts are all short, some were touched with humor, but it seems to me that he's only jumping on the bandwagons. No real content, just votes, apparently placed after agreeing with previous analysis done by other players. Thsi to me is scummy.

Vote: PBug

Also, when giving the game a re-read, Axelrod seemed to me as the most aggressive/defensive player. Ill

I didn't realize I was chastising him,

My thinking is that particularly on day 1, when you're already up to 9 votes, it's not to be unexpected if someone throws on the tenth vote just for the sake of bandwagoning. I agree that Vesuvan did a good job of talking himself out of it, though it seemed to me more like TSS talked everyone temporarily into SK. The only reason he didn't get lynch was everyone quickly switched to a new target. I'm not saying we'd be better off if he had claimed, what I am saying is in that situation it's a bit late to take a chance on trying to talk your way out of it.

Or logging onto the site quickly to post in two games that I was actively participating in and was able to reply to quickly, and not checking other forums since I didn't have time to.

Really, the point you're bringing up isn't much of a point at all.
It isn't? The thread is open for three days, you're participating in other games and post in the thread only when it's noticed you're missing. Maybe it's just me, but for the first day vote I think that's a good reason enough.
Vesuvan wrote: It's not a threat; it's a statement of how I would expect players react when someone puts a lethal vote onto someone who has just explained themselves. That's a large part of why I am generally unwilling to claim without a good reason to do so.
So, when playing with you that "statement" is a sure way to keep you throwing in the last vote ever, right? What you're saying is that anyone putting a last vote on a un-claimed person is probably scum and the blame is always on them, not in the person who didn't feel like claiming. How it does fit for scum to get in that spotlight you also mentioned the last votegiver should in your opinion receive?
Vesuvan wrote: As to how important my role is, that should have no relevance whatsoever on my decision. If I'm a vanilla townie, then I'm better off unclaimed in that situation to keep our power roles hidden from the scum, who I don't doubt were on that bandwagon to either get a quick lynch or fish for information.
My take in this situation is following and it differs from yours and Meme's I see:
If you're vanilla townie being bandwagoned on day one, sacrificing yourself will keep power-roles that much longer in play and uncovered. In my opinion if the next person bandwagoned claims a real power-role, you've played poorly if you're townie.
Vesuvan wrote: wtf? You're ready to lynch someone for refusing to claim with no real reason? Added to the BS "logic" I've quoted above...
I'm still of opinion that I have decent reason for my
day one
vote and I still view your "statement" as a threat I'm not going to be afraid of.

unvote: SaberKitty
for now... I haven't really seen much from Someone, PBug, Fuldu, or EnterYourNameHere that makes me want to vote for them, though they are my favorites right now. I'm surprised the Vesuvan and SK ones went as far as they did. I am happy though that we have such good day one content.

TWO vote counts per page? Oooh, kinky!

Vote count, 10 to lynch:

SaberKitty 3 (the silent speaker, MrStoofer, Olio)
Peacebringer 3 (rolandofthewhite, SaberKitty, EnterYourNameHere)
Olio 3 (Leonidas, Vesuvan, Someone)
Someone 3 (NanooktheWolf, Axelrod, PBug)
Vesuvan 1 (the Shadow)
EnterYourNameHere 1 (MeMe)
Mr Stoofer 1 (Fuldu)
Pbug 1 (Nox)

Retractable deadline Thursday 8PM GMT. At the deadline, five votes will suffice for a lynch. If events warrant it, I will retract the deadline. A last minute claim by the vote leader does not fall under this category.

Two good points here. First, the speed of the Vesuvan and SK wagons is cause to doubt that they are scum. Second, scum are likely to be on the bandwagons (especially the quick ones). Given the impending deadline I favour an
unvote: SaberKitty
and a
vote: Someone
