Newbie 05 - Game Over

Wow! Everyone has confirmed, and under 24 hours!

I'll set you up with a little theme, since I can't resist. Please feel free to completely disregard it:

All roads really do lead to Rome, oddly enough, because the group of tourists you were traveling with - in the Bahamas - suddenly found themselves on the outskirts of the city yesterday. As you settled into one of the quaint hotels, some of you apparently figured "When in Rome, do as the Romans do..." and now here you are, stuck in a strange city, with a couple of scum. Just this morning you found a note in the tourguide's room explaining that he went swimming in his new cement shoes... and he held all the passports, of course. Looks like you're all stranded in Rome until you can eliminate the self-proclaimed Mafia members, or at least secure new passports. Ciao!

I'm using the same set-up started by Dragon Phoenix, and the game will begin in the day phase (though typically they begin with night).

You win when all pro-town players are eliminated.

: You are the town cop. You are looking for mafia members, so you can choose a player to investigate each game night. Please PM me your target before the night deadline.
You win when all of the Mafia are eliminated.

: You are the town doctor. You can protect one player per game night from a possible kill (you cannot protect yourself). Please PM me your target before the night deadline.
You win when all of the Mafia are eliminated.

: You are a townie. You win when all of the Mafia are eliminated.

Game Rules

All standard mafiascum rules apply, with the addition of the following:

• Votes
  must be in bold. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.
  
• Please "
  unvote
  ", if necessary, before casting a new vote.
  
• A lynch will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, nothing will stop the inevitable.
  
• You may "
  vote: no lynch
  ". Majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without one.
  
• The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so.
  
• Do not post in this game unless you are playing, active and alive, until it is officially over.
  
• Don’t edit/delete previously submitted posts.
  
• Don’t directly quote any PMs from me.
  
• If you have any questions, please PM them to me. I will not answer any question asked of me in the thread. Do not directly quote any PMed answers from me.
  
• If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. If you fail to get your choice in, none will be made.

@vraakX: I don't think the fact that TheFlyingDutchman has been mafia the past few games is a strong reason that he should be mafia. what I really mean is that having reasons doesn't make your vote random anymore, and in this case your reason isn't really that good, as stated above.

I think Mighty raven is talking about the person that

does

put on the last vote, not someone. And by following that, that probably means that the mafia is trading 1 for 1 with us, which isn't very smart.

But I do agree with someone that vraakX was acting desperate with his last vote. seemed really eager to defend himself, when there wasn't that much pressure (there were still 2 votes left, and I think as we somewhat agree, the last person to vote for thim without solid evidence is probably scum, and therefore if they are scum, isn't very smart).
