I still see your post as an early game scumtell, and I still feel it's worthy of my vote. That said, I wouldn't be pleased to see you lynched over it - but voting such tells is a good way to get out of the random stage. I am pleased with your responses to Spambot, who I feel is getting tunnel-visioned somewhat (although, since he just voted for kabenon, that changes things XD). I don't think the case against you is as strong as he makes out, but I haven't seen anything significantly scummier. I'm also not paying a whole lot of attention (apologies).

Spambot, he's not being wishy-washy. He's saying it's scummy but not enough to lynch. Which makes since. If someone did the smallest scumtell, then everyone shouldn't just lynch them, it was small. It warrants some votes, but not a lynch. And if you noticed, I actually said I didn't want to lynch him either, and would unvote to prevent a lynch.

Also, in response to theopor, I am waiting for one of them to die in some fashion, that way we can see just how their pms are worded, and if it is possible they hold noteworthy roles.

Uhm, what makes you think we'll see their PMs? The full role PMs of Players don't get revealed on death, so, provided that they act according to the "treat them as normal players" rule, why would NPC role PMs be revealed..?

So I say we proceed like a normal game, atleast for day 1.

I know this post doesn't have much new stuff, but, outside of game theory discussion, there hasn't really been too much to go on. Phate appears to be the flavour du jour, and it looks like you've dissected his posts to the degree where anything I say would be repetition. That being said, I'll likely read over him in isolation tomorrow...

No, you are being ridiculous. Please, please for the love of god give the scum the opportunity to come in and ninja lynch him. That would be fantastic for us, because we've caught two scum being incredibly dumb. Ninja lynching almost NEVER happens. That is an unrealistic fear for you to have, and it doesn't matter whether you think he's scum or the scummiest; you should have your vote on somebody. If you think he's scummy but not too bad, then what are you doing? Play the game and figure some stuff out.

You have now convinced me that you're scum. I think what is really going on is that you didn't want to be seen as bandwagoning on him or were waiting for the opportunity so YOU could ninja lynch him. I imagine that if another person or two had come in and placed those votes, you suddenly would have been very happy to hammer.

And Spambot has gone from "OMFGphatescumlynchplzkthxbai" (with faulty reasoning that I finished tearing apart in post 80 - then I asked Spambot to respond to that, and he singled out one thing and pretty much said "I still think you're scum" without adequately explaining why or responding to any of my other reasoning... anyway) to "OMFGkabenonscumlynchplzkthxbai" as soon as he ran out of gas with me.

I think spambot is kinda jumping at things & it is a little strange that he's switched so aggressively at 007, but maybe this is just the way he plays. There is something that's not sitting right with me over the whole '-2' discussion, I'll need to think a/b this some more. Also, I'm a little confused by

You are fighting pretty hard, but I DO think this is a scum tell. I think that 95% of the time, somebody that is sincere about their suspicions will put their vote on that person. That you forgot you had a random vote on somebody makes me think you aren't very sincere about Yagami.

I find this interesting, partly b/c soon after phate moved his vote over to spam, but also b/c spam is fighting pretty hard, just in a different way. I know that attacking other people is brilliant for town & I don't want spam to stop in that respect - its just that the way that he's switching is another thing that isn't sitting right with me. This is partly echoing what shanba said in #101.

I'm lax to put a vote down seeing as I'm going to be away for a few days & wouldn't like anyone to get lynched partly due to my vote which may be working on out of date info.

Okay so after my reread I feel that

Spambot is being very pushy against people with very little evidence to back himself up with. But I also do not think this is necessarily a scum tell at this point.

Phate got pushed around for a rediculous reason, and I feel he handled himself very well in the situation presented.

Kabenon is the most scummy right now imo. He posted a lot and then disappeared for five days. When he returned he started to attack Phate just like everyone else was but would never actually commit to voting him. He just kept saying you are scummy, and the like over and over again. I don't like his play at all so far.

Groinhammer has been very noncommittal, and discussing more theory than anything else so far but I don't think it is a scum tell.

Everyone else (myself included) has kind of flown under the radar so far. So for now I will leave my vote on Kabenon

Well, DoS, what would you have me do? Lie? I see Phate as scummy. Just because it is for the same reasons as everyone else does not in and of itself make my suspicions scummy. Also, I find Phate flipflopping a lot. Kind of like Kerry. He is thinking it's "fairly likely you(spambot) are scum.) And he votes. His very next post, instead of waiting for the "splaining" he wants from Spambot, he attacks me, the very target of Spambot, whose argument, phate says himself, is unwarranted. And he bases his attack on, get this, the same argument that he found so unwarranted a few posts ago. What did DoS say that Spambot hadn't? Was his word choice so different from spambot that, despite the fact that they are saying the same things, you find his attack warranted and spambot's unwarranted? So, you finally deserve my vote.
