Flay, on the first post you should probably put "Northeast" instead of "Northwest" next to my entry. You can also add Kentucky/Illinois to that list, since I'm in central illinois.

Got it fixed, thanks MoS.

For those who are more interested in board games, I finally finished updating our collection on BGG: http://boardgamegeek.com/collection/use ... own=1&ff=1

Hopefully another couple will be there by the time July rolls around, but those are ones you won't need to bring. :)

Board Games I would be willing to bring (in the order I would be most interested in):

A Game of Thrones (George R.R. Martin)
Risk: Godstorm
Balderdash
Settlers of Catan (Regular, Cities & Knights, and Seafarer's, + 5-6 player expansions for the first two)
Ticket to Ride: Europe
Munchkin (The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly expansion)
Cranium

Ticket to Ride: Europe is only lower on the list because you already have Ticket to Ride. I think the Europe game is way better, but I bumped Balderdash and Settlers up the list for variety.

People who are going should post their preferences from this list so I know what to bring. I can fit most of these into a single box, so I should only have to cut one or two from the list. We probably don't need all 3 Settlers variations, unless someone is really excited about playing Seafarer's. The 5-6 player expansions for regular and C&K will definitely come if the base games do, b/c I have them fitting inside the regular boxes.

Likewise, let me know if anyone has any special game requests. You can find my collection here. I should have a good bit of room for storing games. My odds are somewhere hovering around 60% of attending, pending various things.

We can probably borrow TTR:Europe from some friends, but if you want to bring it regardless, that'll simplify things. Definitely AGOT and SOC, and probably the Munchkin expansion. Don't bother with Balderdash - we have it.

Ye gods Thesp - 436 games?!? The ones that jump out to me are Railroad Tycoon, Khet in any form, The Great Dalmuti (or Tichu), Scotland Yard and Hoity Toity. If you want to bring classic Stratego too that might be good, all we have is the Transformers edition. Cthulhu Rising and the Arkham Horror set might be good too... that's just the stuff you've rated 8 or higher, though. ;)

Hrm, I think the first link included all games I've ever rated as well, which is more than I own - link is now fixed (our collection is closer to 250). I can get Hoity Toity (and the others you've mentioned), though, it's certainly perfect for the crowd, and I can probably borrow most games anyone would be interested in from friends around here who have larger collections than we do!

I'm thinking I should be able to make it from July 2 [Thursday] to July 6 [Monday], but I will have to wait on confirming that. As it happens my family will be vacationing in Oregon pretty much the same time as this, so I will need to catch a plane from Portland and then get a plane that goes back to Seattle (so our whole family will have to coordinate when we're driving by the airports)!

Just making sure if that time frame is good with Flay and -O- before doing anything, I might be able to cut off a day on either end if necessary. 95% chance I of making it though; think I've finally set aside enough monies!

By the way, putt putt golf would be awesome. I suck at it, but I always have a blast doing it.

I/we are fine with you staying a bit early or late if it makes more sense for your flights, peej. You may have to leave the housewhen we do on Monday morning and bum around town a while, though, assuming we end up going to work (the jury is still out on that).

Noted. I'll see if I can push a ticket to Sunday (or possibly Saturday evening). Now to coordinate with the family. :)

I may be bringing a +1 to provide transportation for me. They haven't played mafia before, but they love board games and I'd probably explain mafia on the drive over.

It's looking more and more likely that we'll make this! :)

I sure hope others who are on the fence get an opportunity to make the effort to come to this - it should be a blast. We'll have a ton of boardgames and mafia to go around. If you've never been to a meetup before, give it a try - it's an event you'll remember for a long time!
