Rules:
This will be a Nightless setup; roughly 1/4 of the players will be scum. The town PM will be:
"You are town."
In addition, there may or may not be a conspiracy. If there is a conspiracy, all members of the conspiracy will receive:
"In addition, you are part of a conspiracy with all the other players except XXXX. Your true goal is to convince XXXX that there is no conspiracy."
The probability of there being no conspiracy will be roughly 1/(N+1), where N is the number of players. (This is so that if given player finds he is not part of a conspiracy, there will be roughly a 50-50 chance of a conspiracy existing from that player's point of view.)
Play:
The game will start with an initial discussion period lasting 30 minutes. During this time, any player not part of a conspiracy may decide by PM whether or not there is a conspiracy.
Then:
If there is a conspiracy, the game will end as soon as the player not in the conspiracy guesses. If that player guesses correctly, he wins and the conspiracy loses. If that player guesses incorrectly, the conspiracy wins and he loses.
If there is no conspiracy, any player guessing that there is a conspiracy will be killed. The game will then continue as a normal (Nightless) Mafia game.
