D2 re-read complete. More of Eiralox giving off town vibes, more of Smiley and skitter looking unpaired, and Wayward's posting was pretty much dead null. Interestingly, Smiley posted a nullread on Steady D1 and then didn't comment on them at all except to say he believed Alisae jailed them and then to say this:
Ok, so Wayward was either the killer or the target confirmed then. It's getting pretty late where i'm at, and I need to think this over. I'll probs be back on in the morning or afternoon. Ideally with fresh thoughts on the matter. Until then
Sorry about my absence, I was unfortunately preoccupied yesterday, The long absence did give me a chance to think long and hard about this though and I think i've come to the conclusion that it's more likely Wayward's Slot was the killer in this situation.
The only person voting Radical Polaroid's slot at the end there was TheHoldSteady, Wayward's predecessor. Given the defensive posturing that slot gave off day 1 and the confirmed Jailkeeper connected to that slot I think i'm of the belief that RP jailkept TheHoldSteady with intent of blocking them from killing. i'm also kinda thinking that if alianna is scum and i 'clear' her b/c of alisae switching the target the loss is on ali and not me so :not sure:
I was townreading him too. The thing is, when I read through your and Eiralox's posts, there were things that made me go "why on flat Earth would they do that as scum?" I didn't get that when I re-read Steady. My best theory is that he was just playing well as scum, and in my opinion Wayward didn't keep up the towny-looking posting.

I'm mildly paranoid of you because if your interactions with overseer and Smiley were all scum theatre, it's working exactly as intended, but the paranoia goes away when I actually read those posts.

My question wasn't very clear in hindsight, I suppose I'll elaborate myself. I said Steady JK made more sense than skitter JK, you said not if scum targeted Steady. I wasn't sure what you meant because Steady was relatively townread and I think he would have been a decent target for a NK. I think it's likely true that scum didn't target Steady, but the jailkeep target doesn't factor into that. I was interested to know more about it if you thought it did, but I dropped it because you didn't feel like you could elaborate.

what I meant with 1249 is I just want to get a general dialogue going the game has become slow and I'm liking Dragon's tone and display of intent so far.
I wasn't referring to what you meant with 1249, it was a continuation of the discussion we were already having.
I'd have to actually do meta but I don't think this tone is particularly AI for Dragon?

I looked at this game and Alianna definitely has the same personality as scum as the one she has as town. So that means the earlier townread is invalid. I am gonnaa have a deeper look at her ISO this game, but I do have a gut feeling it's her.
What exactly were you townreading about my personality?
I could be persuaded that one of my townreads is wrong, but right now I'm thinking it's you by POE.

I'm still kinda hung up on the fact that there's a *lot* of waffling on overseer in your iso, your smiley vote looked like you decided he was doomed so decided to bus

how much shade you kept throwing towards the ali/rp slot - a lot of that read like you were trying to sow doubt in the claim and/or were trying to avoid acceding that the claim was true
The first part is impossible to refute, because yes, I did waffle on overseer, and yes, that vote does look bad, but idk what else I was supposed to do there. I wasn't getting a good read there D1 and my other top scumread at the end of D2 (you) wasn't going to go through. I'm town, I can't really help looking like his partner because I didn't know he was scum. That's not a reason not to vote me, I'm just at a loss for what to do this game. I'm the top suspect in MeLo, but the strongest argument for town!me got thrown out for basically no reason.
I don't know which way you're using "shade" here, but usually it means someone is trying to make a slot look scummy. You did assert in the past that I wasn't coming to the conclusion that the slot was town, which I'm pretty sure I addressed more than once, and it's also fairly obvious if you go back through my ISO that I was townreading them. If it's just about the tracker claim itself, it looks like that because I did doubt it, and it turns out it wasn't true. I didn't keep posting that way after they claimed JK on Wayward unless you count the hypothetical in 956.

This does make sense. Scum!you would have had a decent chance of winning it yesterday if you did that, or you could have shifted onto absentee!Wayward and tried to convince skitter, so why didn't you do any of that and hold off on voting until the last minute?
I think I could apply this to Dragon too to some extent. Maybe less though because Wayward wasn't around and Dragon only had a couple of days.

I didn't understand the part about WIFOM? Like how is voting Eiralox WIFOM in any way?
Because I'm paranoid and I can get into a WIFOM spiral over anything. I forget the thought progression for that one.

I see. Did you check out my completed scum game? Or better yet, did you compare my play this game with my play as traitor lover in WDM?
WDM is the reason I held off on commenting, actually. I did check it out, and we were talking about tone so that's what I was reading for. In that game you do seem more...prickly? I don't know if that's the word I'm looking for but it's the one that popped into my head. What gave me pause is that I didn't notice that from you in WDM, so I figured your tone in Newbie 2125 might have had more to do with outside factors rather than just being how you are as scum. That game is also a flawed comparison because it's the start of D1 in a game you repped out of pretty early on, and this is a game you repped into in F4.
There could very well be other meta things that I missed because I wasn't looking out for them, and you are free to point them out to me, but I haven't been able to gather much from reading your meta. I also want to make it clear that just because I've played with you doesn't mean I'll be able to meta-read you well. I didn't actually have to read you in either of the games we're discussing, so your posting didn't really "imprint" in my mind all that much or help me establish a model of how your play looks as town vs. as scum. I can read back, yes, but I will not be able to compare as effectively as if I'd actually had to analyze your posting in the game in question.

Yeah, I think I biffed this in retrospect, I held back a bit when making that post when I should've went full throttle.
I actually wouldn't have made those posts at all if I were you (minus the saying goodbye to us, that's NAI). It felt like you were trying to create WIFOM and get the town's attention off Wayward by telling us to direct our attention towards him. The "all I'll say is look into this after I flip" phrasing is what tipped me off, it was just a little too obvious that you were up to something with that.
