To be honest, I'd never even fully looked at a game here before I started playing this one. I had spectated Arkham but never really looked much. I was going fully blind into this. I apologize if it offended you that I was pretending. I just know that people talked about IDing, so I thought we had to pretend to be someone else. I think my only other reference was HunCalFroYo - and I didn't even fully read that.

Ew, you used HunCal as your reference? That explains so much, he fooled me too.
It's not so much that I'm offended as I am disappointed You played really well and I don't mind being played!

Hiplop, in my application for this game I put "My strategy is to be Mint Chocolate Chip."
I'm surprised you didn't catch on just from my awful impression of you!

OK boos it's time to open the cans of elephants in the room
What is a jury even supposed to do??? Can they be "bitter" and emotive or nah? Should they rely solely on the gameplay of the finalists, or nah?
Also I don't get everyone saying I "overplayed" at F6. Essentially I knew my name was at the top of the list anyway, so I threw out a name and I see now everyone is like "OMG AFTER SEVENTEEN WEEKS OF INV0 PLAY JOANNA IS OVERPLAYING!!!!!! VOTE HER OUT". I guess I could've chosen a different name lol
I'm just really surprised at how big a gap between Butter Pecan and Joanna you see, Shadoweh.

All I'll say on the subject is that I want to sincerely apologize to anyone whose feelings I hurt this game, in game or in jury or whatever.
It wasn't my intention to do so, I was only trying to express how I felt. I fear I may have been driven to post things that were too harsh as a result of a lot of stressors, both in game and out.
I can't say I fully regret wanting to express those emotions, or that I even regret my final tribal vote, but if anyone felt hurt or belittled by anything I said.
From the bottom of my heart, I apologize. It's only a game and there's no excuse for me making you feel that way, no matter if it was my intent or not.
Yes my Lord, but questions are dangerous, for they have answers.

no I think it's really a huge discussion point. Think of the disparities:
- the building jury is vitriolic and backs the least-gaming, non-Chatzy personalities until they are all voted out
- no one (except Tove maybe really?) has any idea of how the jury is actually thinking? I personally think it is CRAZY that I had a tonne of support prior to my elimination
- the spectators
and
mods are infuriated at the jury for their actions and say that this is not the way a jury should be
I know I gel with Kanye/Reck's thoughts on the matter.

Uh yeah I knew you guys wanted me to say Tove was the worst juror but sorry Tove Lo was amazing.
The real question is how the jury got to be so vitriolic in the first place. How did it get worked up to be that way?
Because it wasn't anything we did. Other then win votes and get y'all out. The accusations about the TERRIBLE PLAN B THE UNCARING MONSTER were ridiculous.
It really seemed like you guys invented stories for yourself about who we were and didn't care what we actually said about ourselves.

I talked with CC about it and realized we have differing philosophies on the matter. I think it should be no-holds-barred, knock yourself out, say what you want, give it 110%, but leave it at the door when the game's over. CC (and clearly plenty others) think even though it's just a game, there should be stricter policies on what people can/cannot say.
My proposed suggestion is for mods to clearly label in their rules whether "harsh language will not be tolerated -- period" or "this is a game, but emotions run high, so only play if you can maturely deal with the emotion of the game". I think taking the anger & vitriol out of juries would do the game a disservice, but as a compromise, at least we could leave it up to the players/mods what kind of game it's going to be.

Sure. That's the stock boilerplate rules that every mod uses. Clearly there's room for interpretation there as what qualifies as "excessive", and people aren't happy having mods make those calls, so I think we need further classification to prevent anger over that issue.
Saying that people are trash, dirt, unable to feel emotion, utterly devoid of redeeming qualities, etc is not expressing your feelings.
There was plenty of expressing of emotions. And most of that was fine. There is a reason that I didn't bold drench's whole speech. There are lines and they were crossed and that needs to be accepted. It wasn't like drench and LLD were the only ones with feelings hurt and yet they are the only ones who went way over the line.
