here i feel like there is less of that and more of what seems to me like an attempt to fit in to usual towny behavior and also like an awareness that maybe you aren't quite reaching a bar that you feel like you're supposed to

i think this is true except except instead of what i'm reaching for being "being towny" its "doing a good job at the game of mafia as a town player"

Turns out this was an epiphany read instead of a revelation read (opposite ends of the explainability spectrum)

from that post one might imagine python being at E-2 and pacing back and forth stormily waiting for the towncase and when none came they were like "we have be the one to advocate for ourselves lets just do it we just have to get it out there" and that would be a thing that i think would be very obvious for scum to want to conceal at least a little bit

Because we are not "hella down to kill PC" there, 1212 is a reaction test for PC. If PC is scum a day 1 lim there is gonna be impossible for obvious reasons and also lets scum hop on safely for free towncred post flip, wagon there doesn't really help either. If PC's town and they're getting flipped this game I want them sniping since from memory they have pretty good reads as town.

Wanted to see how the gamestate would evolve with PC at some risk

sorry. that was a jouke. i was hoping to get this post out immediately after i made the joke about the cats but it turns out that it just took long.

ummmm idk why. i dont find dannflors read particularly convinced bc i think there are many reasons why someone might be less passionate or outspoken in a game and i guess there wasn't any scum game of yours that dannflor presented in contrast to your "typical town play" but i didnt think it was forced, i thought it still matched with the general Meta Enjoying ethos of his where he makes interesting observations about other games and comes up with ideas based on that. i also had this random thing where tris describing you "sinking" in her reads scumped me (obviously this is such a minor thing and could even just be me like concocting ridiculous 1 in a 100 chance scenarios) but it felt like a language softening choice in order to risk less of you being retalitory towards her after you calle dannflors read progression bad

wow it took me like 10 tries to remember how to spell the word fiery WHY is it spelled like that i was like FIREY? FIRY? WHAT IS HAPPENING . thats not why the post took long though.

Maybe tris expressing a townread on me and then asking me why im voting JV is an attempt at saving a partner targeting someone who looks like theyre voting him for more tenuous reasons but I feel like thats continuing a streak of uncharitable readings of her actions (see: the infamous "sinking" conjecture that upon her simple denial i kind of felt obligated to abandon)

well yes because I've already come to a conclusion about who I think the solve is but generally there's not enough evidence to push it so I leave it hanging in the air. I'm mostly willing to sit on wagons that people have shared reads with me on

i had two solves composed of [roden tris jv] iirc (all independently scummy) and [dann black] as a paired duo. i don't remember the exact solve i pushed out but i think i'm less convinced on dann as scum

If we're doing a tris CW we've got Ranger in our court. Black and PC we'd need to sleaze a bit to get us above tris. hellbooks and jupiter we could probably get compromise votes from. With our vote that's 6, gives us some wiggle room if we don't convince someone

If we're keeping our pre-replacement reads then Ranger/Jupiter/PC could be scum. Ranger's positioned herself to vote tris so we can still count on her vote, it's jupiter and PC that could be problematic

PC is notoriously tunnely so it'll be pretty difficult to rely on the vote from there, gamble that Jupiter is town?
