just so that I understand, in your opinion and based on your history playing mafia, people who lay down and accept their lynch (in this manner) are usually scum?...have you seen this in games before?

I agree with Matt_S that a 'Bloki lynch is very acceptable. Like I said, I have seen that Peers-town can actually be productive, and his utter lack of logic in this game is disgusting. Only thing that changes is I would rather lynch wagon him now then vig kill him before (wasting lynches on people who are likely to not respond in relevant ways is dumb).

CKD, I want to respond to your question once Bloki does. Just FYI.

As my mafiascum history is all ongoing games atm and I have only really read food fight mafia on my own time I don't have much experience to draw on or link to for that matter. However I just feel that Townies generally try to defend themselves a lot more even if it leads to them getting frustrated and posting sporadically. It just seems when scum are more under the scope they tend to take a much more toned down approach to defending themselves or "laying down". Killa Seven version 1 for example when it was decided he was the lynch for day 1 really didn't say much to get the lynch off him besides the "Let me vig someone for you tonight" joke he kept reposting.

EBWOP: I have fallen to the category of getting frustrated and sporadically posting and it seemed to work for me *shrug*

I find that disinterested townies tend to do that far more than mafia, but I am interested in whome's answer to my question first..

armlx, your thoughts?

Ok, now I will respond.

CKD, I believe it is a player based tell, but the vast majority of the time it is no better then null.

Some people tend to get frustrated a lot easier and will act like this regardless of alignment. However, if you notice a player doing it and its seems out of place for them, odds are they are trying to pull a fast one on you.

I dunno. From his position, he's doing about what is right for both sides, which is jump into the game. It's also legitimate to call someone out for the giving up defense.

Basically I got lost. Way too many pages of circular logic. Digging for th truth is like looking for a jewl in a dungheap. As a result of my getting lost, my posts and votes have been less and less relevant, making me an easy target.

My vote on dahill was prompted entirely by the 10 more pages thing. 10 more pages of that day and I would have needed a mental health professional. I wouldn't have minded if it was productive, but it had just become painful.

Yes. You do. See, as far as I can tell, you're completely clueless, and I'd like you to prove that you aren't.

It's because Peers made similar posts to this in regards to TheSweatpantsNinja that I want to lynch you before TheSweatpantsNinja.

I did an isolated readthrough on TheSweatpantsNinja:

Note: I read him in isolation so make sure you do the same, otherwise the post numbers won’t be the same:

Post 2: He says “30 players will make it very easy for
people
to skate through the game.” Why wouldn’t he just say scum?

Post 5: He says that he doesn’t have to post when he is pressuring lurkers himself. Contradictory maybe?

Post 8: He admits that he has been lurking, while he is pressuring lurkers as mentioned before.

Post 22: Says that lynching Lloyd is a good plan, when Lloyd was not one of his suspects early on and never mentioned him prior to this.

Post 70: (Long break in posts, I know, but I explain at the end in the part about the lynch of Rosso Carne) He does the infamous “toldja so” about Rosso Carne’s lynch.

Post 123: Another long break, I know, but unlike his position on Rosso Carne, he seems t slide from against the dahill lynch to actually voting for him.

Post 131: He says that it is not in a townie’s interest to get lynched, which is instinctively true, but for the good of the game, townies should be willing to sacrifice themselves for the good of the town, but only when appropriate.

I also thought about the lynch of Rosso Carne, which he was entirely against, but after thinking about it more, it just seems anti-town to not be on that lynch to me. I mean, sure, we were wrong, but there was so much convincing evidence that we thought it was right.

Conclusion:
FoS: TheSweatpantsNinja
although I can see some suspicions, I’m just not sure TSN is the lynch for today. Instead, I’m going to look elsewhere and do more isolated rereads.

So I guess this is what you call lurking. I'm trying to avoid needing replacement in most of my more active games...
