[The man is turning the tables on the Cowboy. Perhaps the ruse will be up and the cowboy will be exposed for not actually knowing anything about the amnesia. But how will he get paid if he is exposed. He will need to think of a plan to carefully avoid talking about this]

Cowboy: Sir, if you please I am trying to do an investigation here and you are interfering.

[In the Cowboys carelessness he looked back at the young women. She had her hair tied up with a bow with the words "Titus" on it. It wasn't very large text so if you weren't paying attention you could easily miss it]

For one, I don't think Dunnstral in this exchange once is tried to sort me. At all.

Okay, so my primary thoughts are that Dunnstral is not acting in this game in a sorting capacity, I think this is best seen in the early questions he came in with. The way he handled interactions with me was also weird and I try to wrap my brain around it because they don't make sense to me much completely in a town or scum dunnstral world but the focus to me wasn't figuring out my alignment and I think overall distraction.

What does this mean? Did you read the setup?

Okay so I don't see the purpose in this question at all. The idea here i guess from Dunnstral is he thinks I didn't read the setup, I don't know what this tells a town or scum dunnstral if I did or didn't. I have not read setups beforea s both alignments. Dunn might or might not be aware of me favoring scum (i would think he should know with all our games together) but lets say he doesn't.

So what does this serve? To me this looks like seeing if he can see what i know of the setup to push me for it depending on the response. It doesn't look like sorting because what knowledge of my setup would help him sort as town, we are amnesiacs, we don't know the setup. So its either role fishing or psuedo trap to see if he can push me possibly under pretense of a 'scum slip', that last part might uncharitable here. But to me this question serves nothing of hunting. I don't think this is dunn trying to sort me unless magically he thinks scum me knows the full setup or something and i outed something about not getting the PRs (which i think are probably mostly hidden from scum too..again what does this serve)

I think the concern on who is townreading who is more of a scum concern. More mental notes taken of who is reading each other what for purpose of knowing where people stand. I also think this shows a lack of attention to the details here which I think is more easily to happen with scum. This one felt a bit less scummy because not paying attention can happen to anyone but the focus of who is reading u like that seems more of a scum concern.

I think that BlueSnakelet looks awkward here.

Their first post, 28, gives me that feeling. After that they banter for a bit and then in post 44 seem to say "what's the point of theme games" in response to someone else not liking roleplay. I feel this is a weird stance to have as usually this kind of thing is not present in theme games. I'm not sure where BlueSnakelet is coming from here.

This was after my vote but was pretty damning and most content dunn has made. I have yet to bring it up. I thought snek was the easiest person to push in this game and feel like scum Dunn took the bait here going for him. But even the way its argued doesn't show me hunting beyond someone is being awkward. The weird stance that someone is making about themes? How is this a scum mindset Dunnstral? He also ends it with saying not sure where snek is coming from but yet doesn't pursue it to ask Snek questions of what he is thinking or where thoughts are. Theres no curiosity there. As town you ask questions, you receive answers, you evaluate the answers to see where they are coming from and whether the thought process behind them makes sense for town. Sometimes it results in nothing, sometimes you get a better read on someone, but you keep trying. That is one way to scumhunt, and that is what Dunnstral appeared to be doing. So what did you think of those questions then?

I'm also noticing a weird pattern here. First Dunnstral questions you, and you vote them without answering. Dunn says they did not like your post 26, and you accuse Dunn of being scum. I like Dunn's questioning and also dislike how you brazenly declared you did not get a scum role like you wanted, and you accuse me of being scum with Dunn. And then... suddenly you drop the scumread on Dunn, but I'm still scum in your eyes, because why? How is this read progression supposed to make sense? And after all this, you go back to accusing us of being scum together.

Maybe you missed my post explaining what I just said on what i don't like about dunns posts or questions, maybe you just disagree on the worth and weight to them. I find it hard to believe those are good solving/hunting questions, sure maybe all questions can serve a purpose. But then that means all scum has to do is ask a few generic questions and you would townread them? Also on rethinking of the Dunn v FB, I think that Dunn's vote was justified. On the other hand, FB's scumcase is based on something that IS scummy on Dunn's part, but could easily be pushed by scum and therefore doesn't warrant a TR on FB.

This game is weird, Mala and I both feel there's this bizarre vibe in this game where it seems like people are sidestepping me like some of y'all just don't want the smoke and hassle of arguing with me on day 1. Dunn is probably my top TR. Originally I was a little skeptical of his entrance but I think his responses to pressure have been really good
Fey was also someone I was unsure about early because the way they danced around the massclaim and the slight overreaction to FB voting for Dunn. However I think Fey vs. FB looks a little TvT looking back over it and I lean town on them

I liked FA's entrance and her thoughts felt like they were coming from a genuine solvey place, however I started to doubt that after reading some of what Klick put down about her. Klick has a couple of good points about why he thinks FA is scummy here even if they aren't very strong. Like they seem like things that would make Klick sus of FA but not necessarily things that could get others onboard. FA's whole reaction to the Klick push was to discredit it and then jump on Dragon for following it and I feel like this could be interpreted as her going for an easier target

I would be cautious about clearing people this way. Yes, scum cannot actually use the amnesiac roles assigned to them, but to me that implies that they may have their own roles and abilities, which may be able to mimic amnesiac roles. Suppose for example that there is an amnesiac fruit vendor, who is confirmed by giving a fruit to another player, who dies and flips town. Next day, another player gives another fruit, but this time it is actually a scum JOAT pretending to be the fruit vendor. I don't know yet if we can ever truly confirm players as town like this.

I did not comment on that, but I do have a hypothesis. DragonEater said himself that he has been town several games in a row. If he is scum here, it is probably his first time. It is hard for me to imagine a more intimidating environment to be newbie scum in than Team Mafia, not only surrounded by many experienced players but also their teammates. I could imagine newbie scum reacting to being poked by thinking, "What did I do? How do I fix it? I better go do as they say, I don't want to look suspicious." What DragonEater did was fine, but it would have been better if he did it of his own volition.

There was also the post where I directly asked him about Firebringer's Dunnstral case, which he had liked before, and in response he voted Firebringer. I mean sure, he agreed with my take, but I would feel better about it if I had not needed to ask.

I can't help thinking there is something odd about his reads on Firebringer and Dunnstral. In 275 he says he wants to townread both for pushing someone scummy. Then in 346 he says Dunnstral voting was justified, but Firebringer's case was about Dunnstral being scummy. That... sounds like the same thing to me, but somehow the second could be a scum push and did not warrant a town read. Then in 394 he says the interaction was possibly town vs town.

Not sure what all this is saying. Is Dragoneater town or what. What is he getting out of conclusions to all these theories on Dragoneater. I will probably need to reread this when im not working all day.

Okay so I don't see the purpose in this question at all. The idea here I guess from Dunnstral is he thinks I didn't read the setup, I don't know what this tells a town or scum Dunnstral if I did or didn't. I have not read setups before as both alignments. Dunn might or might not be aware of me favoring scum (I would think he should know with all our games together) but let's say he doesn't.

So what does this serve? To me this looks like seeing if he can see what I know of the setup to push me for it depending on the response. It doesn't look like sorting because what would my knowledge of setup do to help him sort as town, we are amnesiacs, we don't know the setup. So its either role fishing or pseudo trap to see if he can push me possibly under pretense of a 'scum slip', that last part might be uncharitable here. But to me this question serves nothing of hunting. I don't think this is Dunn trying to sort me unless magically he thinks scum me knows the full setup or something and I outed something about not getting the PRs.

Now let's pick this apart, shall we? The first thing that stands out to me is that in the first paragraph, you seem to understand that by setup, Dunnstral was referring to the mod posts at the start of the game, which explain the special rules and mechanics. Something you can read and be fully aware of as town. In the second paragraph however, you switch definitions, and use setup to refer to knowledge of available roles. Then you go on to accuse Dunnstral because the question does not make sense using that definition. This looks blatantly malicious. I struggle to imagine how you could possibly have switched the definitions by accident.

Moving on, using the first definition, that question makes perfect sense. The very premise of the game is that scum have access to more information than town does. Thus, town is more likely to miss things and get confused. I can imagine Dunnstral thinking, "Why is he unhappy with his role? Does he not realize he will get another one tomorrow? Or is he pretending not to?" and asking that question, to see whether there was confusion on your part and whether it looked genuine. Of course scum can pretend to be confused, but since they would want it to be noticed, it tends to stand out. This was immediately clear to me, and I have used this to establish early town reads myself.

I think the concern on who is townreading who is more of a scum concern. More mental notes taken of who is reading each other what for purpose of knowing where people stand. I also think this shows a lack of attention to the details here which I think is more easily to happen with scum. This one felt a bit less scummy because not paying attention can happen to anyone but the focus of who is reading you like that seems more of a scum concern.

Thestatusquo, i think would probably be going about this game quite a bit differently as scum. I think alisae has a lot of problems with the way in alisae words that shea appears to be just discrediting or throwing shade everywhere and to me i don't think thats whats happening. in a certain areas i don't agree with shea pushing, but to me it looks sorting or it at least doesn't look strategic as i thought it was earlier. Like i think shea has a strategy if he is going to just start throwing shade around as fast and quick as he is doing. I think he doesn't care how it looks which is plus town. No, I think your misunderstanding or i am not making clear. I am saying scum care more about who has positions on who. I.E who townreads who and other areas. Looking back on it, I don't think its all that telling and Dunnstral wasn't reading closely so its not that ailgnment indicative. Also in general i think both alignments care who is townreading their own slot, i care more in terms of figuring out if i think someone is bullshitting a townread on me.

Which as a personal note. I should be investigating those who townread me this game but i just haven't found it necessary due to having a shocking amount of scumreads.

I think that happened because i was arguing two ideas in my mind of what Dunnstral could be doing or attempting. one was on mechanic/rules which to me is a NAI question to be pushing and the other was an attempt to see it in a 'ohh this is actually attempting something that argues something about hidden knowledge only scum would know" which was the whole existence of roles/background knowledge only scum know. So i didn't make it clear the split between of what could or should be talked about. In one scenario we are talking about. I think the latter was scummy move and other meant nothing. 100 posts woah. Okay i am only taking notes on like a quarter of these or half at most. No way i get to them all. Lets go through them and give some thoughts.

329 I didn't like FA calling my early stuff try hard. I think she later explained this as something else.
330 I feel like this isn't really a town question Frozen angel asks. The framing is why wouldn't scum desire to open like dragoneater and im just feeling meh. But i guess the i will write this off as NAI.

okay im like only a 1/3 through this iso. I feel more like FA town. Idk. Her thought process seems more clear to me now then before. It felt pretty fake and manufactured in the moment but seeing the whole it looks better

Maybe the only thing i don't like about FA is how fast the switch on Feysal played out?

I think people are in a rush to end the day. I can get that. The amount of fights is wearing thin on people and causing a bit of apathy. I suggest breathers. A mass V/LA for 24 hours for thread would be good imo. Not just for myself (although i am selfish and want the game to slow down so i can more meaningfully engage) but also for a morale standpoint.

I also find kuribo townie in a broad sense, but every push Kuribo has done this game i didn't like.

I feel mixed on anyone who pushes on PB. On one hand, pushing pinkie in this game is bad cause i think pinkie pretty strong town. On the other hand if i was scum in this game, i would advise my team not to push pinkie because pinkie pushes hard back on any pushes.

So that leaves me in this weird dichotomy of A) does the scum team know this about pinkie and did no one advise their teammates. B) did they know this but didn't tell or did someone jump guns. C) scum aren't pushing pinkie its all town driven D) none of the above and pinkie is doing a very good imitation of his town game.

I liked the iso dive she did but I haven't really felt much since then.

We could always do my strat in hollow knight of townblock each player picks one player to protect and last one left to eliminate. I am not there yet with feeling like we need an elimination though.

Drixx---I think alisae said town. I am like so null on Drixx i should really have something now i think alisae had a point that somethig drixx said indicated a townslip or highly indicative of town should go back and read logs. didn't find it convincing.
Dragoneater - so meh. He started to 'try hard' and it felt more of same as before. Could elim, not very super excited about it. Pretty boring scumread
Kuribo - null possibly scum? Would be a spicy wagon. Would rather have a scum kuribo with us for awhile. Think he will kill some of his teammates for us.
Shea ---lots of things make me want to townread. I think reluctance there was recent miss. Also that game probably biased me as his slot he rep in i townread? idk i only figured him out in that game when it was so obvious and he wasn't trying. Scum shea is much better than hollow knight.

Yeah i just get a fake vibe from her posts. Like its not there to read others, its there for other people. It seems more responsive than pursing things. I also think theres more care to how she looks in general in her approach than how she is sorting someone. I think u said it earlier on the curiosity thing. Part of me think Frozen angel should be hard townreading Klick for how Klick didn't do anything in Demons Mafia. But another part of me thinks maybe im just thinking too superficially on Klick scum game and FA thinks more highly. I talked with LLD and Petapan. They do not believe the claim. They say that it breaks the game by potentially clearing 4 players on day 2. Petapan says that the most likely explanation regardless of Kuribo's alignment is that this is a gambit.

@black im really trying to avoid reading u as perspective of hollow knight cause A) that game i don't think is comparable to this B) i think that was ur first game, your definitely gonna be different here.

So like i don't think i have a fundamental of your baselines to get the good meta read case on you. Instead im relying on classic scumhunting of looking at your posts, trying to see what purpose of your posts are. And I don't see the purpose as really for the purpose of the scumhunting.

I can get i guess that your reads formation might be a slow meticulous process or something. Just the questioning seems wrong. The responses to people seems wrong. I think in general when someone comes at me with a scumread, I do not react in this kind of tone and questioning if im uncertain, i would be digging deeper and the questions are more pointed and specific to things im thinking. The tone and interactions also feel more to playing with the greater game than any one individual interactions.

Might help to break down specific examples but i think this interaction we just had is a decent one for how that is playing out.
