You'll be happy to know, Slay, that Oklahoma is no longer my second most hated state. It's now third, behind Arkansas and Kasnas.

(Just so we're clear on how much I like spending time with you guys. I wouldn't drive through Oklahoma and Kansas for just anyone. :P)

You should drive through Iowa or North Dakota if you think Kansas is bad. Kansas is nothing compared to Iowa.

I hear that. After you've driven through Iowa, you have a new appreciation for how awesome Kansas is.

Also, Thesp, can you bring Betrayal at House on the Hill if you aren't already? I *love* that game...

Tiger effigy proceeds apace:

Also, western Kansas is a LOT worse than Iowa. Iowa at least has some geography (glacial moiraine, lakes, etc).

If by Iowa has geography you mean it has corn and soy, then yes.

That tiger is awesome. It seems a shame to burn it.

Man what happened to that tiger's spine?? Also you must not have driven down 35W if you think Iowa has any interesting geography. Iowa is so boring that their state's tourism logo is Iowa with a big question mark in the middle.

Anyways bump me up to 90-95%. Assume I'll be attending unless I tell anyone differently. I'm bringing
Intrigue
. Gnome, when you read this, let me know if you'll be able to get a ride to my house really early Friday morning (like 7 or 7:30AM) or if I have to pick you up (if it's the latter PM me your address).

Oklahoma is sooo the worst state. Have you seen their liquor laws? Ridiculous.

I don't mind Arkansas, but I have only been to Fayetteville. I have spent a lot of time there though.

West Kansas, I don't mind the drives, but at the same time I am driving by places I am marginally familiar with, and make fun of. It is Nevada/South Arizona/Any desert that suck to drive through. It's cool for like 30 min, and then becomes so horrible.
Surfs up dude.

Note to self: Trying to play two games at once is a bad idea when you aren't all that familiar with one of the games.

In concur in result, but not reasoning. All tiger-burning, even in effigy, is a shame, and furthermore, a bad idea.

I'm much much lower chance now. My car has been stalling out on me and I might need to save my funds for a new one. This might be a game day decision, so MoS might need to find alternate transportation if my car dies or doesnt feel road safe.

sam.samhorn, just sent you directions. Anybody else who hasn't got them yet but is pretty sure they're coming, let me know.

TSQ: I thought you were coming with Ether and Elias? Anyway, hope your car feels better soon (i.e. before the 2nd).

Bad news -- I gotta drop out this year. I guess a whole mess of extended family and close friends who I haven't seen for over a year are all going to find themselves in my hometown over the 4th, so I'm going to make a pilgrimage to visit them then. I'll make it next year for sure though :)

I might be able to bring a few Magic (the Gathering) decks if anybody else is interested. Also, if anybody besides MoS wanted any Almond Roca please let me know before Friday.

Flayming Man is officially on Michelle's calendar. She said you will all now discover the truth of how crazy mith's girlfriend is.

(pj: I'd be up for some Magic, and could bring some cards as well - though the decks that are currently built probably suck and I doubt I'll have time to go through them and build anything better, plus my cards are old and might have rules issues.)

w00t! One player down. And don't worry, I don't even want to think about the rule issues that probably arise with my decks. I'm sure a number of mine are "illegal" even in Type 1 nowadays. >.>

Ok, so unless I magically find a ride, I'm /out as long as shea is /out. PJ, don't bother getting the Almond Roca, I don't want you to bring it and then find out I couldn't make it. If I do manage to come, it'll be enough just to get to see all of you...^_^

Anyone in Illinois looking to carpool? I might be able to nab a car, but I need more riders or I can't afford the gas.

I'll bring my Magic decks as well, they should fit right in with the old and unkempt ones apparently being brought. ;)
