Because I feel that if you are going to bus you are going to do it convincingly. You want to show that you strongly feel the player is scum and they need to be lynched. The only exception is one that I believe falls under such a different category that it has another term -- distancing. That's usually as small an attack as possible and rarely includes a vote. Quick "X is my third suspects" statements and FoS's show this.

OP's vote was clearly an "I agree with this case" vote and nothing more. It just doesn't look like bussing at all.
Goatrevolt wrote: If I'm scum, and as bad of a player as you suggest, and I see someone post an enormous case on my scumbuddy, I will probably just assume it's a good case and hop aboard. This is literally the first time this game he has wagoned off of someone else's case, and I find it pretty suspicious that he did so off of a poor case on someone later revealed to be likely scum. My experience with new/weaker scum is that they love to bus.
Actually, if a bad player was scum and saw a case on their buddy, they'd either defend hardcore or ignore it. But I'm hesitant to say OP is a "bad" player though because he clearly actually tries and has improved. He's not exactly a newb either, but he is near the beginning stages of becoming a good player.

If ortolan comes up scum then orangepenguin's Goat vote would suggest scumbuddies.

I caught scum doing exactly that in a recent offsite game. I disagree with you, I think newer/weaker scum are more likely to be paranoid and try to bus their buddies or are more critical of their scum buddies than they aught to be. As in, newer/weaker scum are more likely to hop aboard weak logic aimed at their buddies because they already know the end result is correct, so they overestimate the calculations that led to that result.

At any rate, I'll review the rest of his posts more closely. I pretty much have had a non-opinion of him up to this point.

Suggest OP as a scum buddy, or me as one?

What? This is pretty irrelevant... We already have a dead pro-town role with killing capacity, so how does cop v. vig play any "role" in this scenario at all?

I wonder if his win condition has anything to do with getting everyone to lynch him.

@KMD- ignore that part of my last post. After re-reading that following a good nights sleep, it doesn't look anywhere near as weird as it did before.

@OP- more is a relative term. technically, I have MORE money than the homeless dude I saw on the way to work, but when I've only got a nickel in my pocket, that doesn't mean much.

Well, that's far from how I played as a newbie, but maybe that applies for other people. Like I said, OP
is
intelligent and
does
know the game, so you may have a point. I still don't think that's the case, but I can see your logic.

The delegates of Alledaags were keen to avoid going another full day without locking anyone up. They knew that it was a mistake to fail to come to a decision the previous day, and it could be a fatal error to give the evil among them yet another chance to strike, and dwindling the number of those loyal to the land.

The accusations were imminent right off the bat, as people were very quick to point fingers at others for being responsible for the death of Sudo_Nym. Soon, the one known as KMD was saying he knew without that the one known as ortolan was evil, and a part of the problem in Alledaags. ortolan responded by claiming to be a vigilante killer, but one out to eliminate the threat.

There was a decisive support for KMD, as one by one the representatives voted to lock up ortolan, the reasons ranging from anything to trusting KMD's words to doubting that there was an additional killer on the side of Alledaags, given that there were loyal Werewolves killed overnight. Well before noon, ortolan had been chained up, and the group awaited their chief.

Verkozen arrived that evening, and was pleased to see that at last they would be locking someone up. Taking ortolan, the leader directed him to the magically-reenforced jail cell he would be spending the rest of this time in, and came back with some news for the group. "Well," he told them, "it appears that you've locked up the Gold Dragons!" There were murmers of disgust at this news that they had locked up the lawful and upstanding dragons. "However," Woordvoerder continued, "as far as we can tell, they were attempting to rest control of Alledaags for themselves."

He paused, looking the at the group. "Sleep well. I'll see you in the morning."

---

End of Day Votecount (as of 577)

ortolan - 6 (KMD, orangepenguin, Zazie, Goat, CDB, Empking)
KMD - 1 (ortolan)
Goat - 1 (orangepenguin)

Not Voting - 4 (DizzyIzzy, Shadow Knight, TonyMontana)

ortolan,
Gold Dragons (Draconic Mafia Double-Agent)
, lynched Day 2.

---

It is now Night 2.
Night ends in 48 hours.

Once again, you wake up in the early morning, and take a few moments to remember where the hell you are, and gather your stuff. Heading outside, you see a bunch of other faces. Except, you know, you're missing someone.

Verkozen showed up, with two grunts carrying another dead body. "It appears," he explains, "there has been another victim overnight." As he reveals the body, you're shocked; almost the entire body is covered in 3rd-degree burns.

Through it all, you recognize who you knew as KMD4390. He's...he's...he's a Blast-Ended Skrewt...you think. It's hard to tell, through all this burning. "He was an investigator, from what our sources tell us," Woordvoerderexplains.

With that, he leaves.

---

KMD4390,
Blast-Ended Skrewts (Pro-Town Cop)
, was killed Night 2.

---

It is now Day 3.

With 8 alive, it'll be 5 to lynch!

Deadline is July 22th, 8:00 EST.

Mod:
is the End of Day 2 Vote Count correct?

My reason for asking is that I found OP's Goat vote highly indicative of an ortbuddy trying to find a new wagon, but if the count is correct then OP having two separate votes is unlikely to be a scum power.

*Sigh* There goes that theory for now then. I'm not saying I no longer find the vote suspicious, don't get me wrong, but the improbability and infrequency of scum getting a double-vote power makes me unwilling to vote you for now.

So, I guess a
Vote: DizzyIzzy
is the next place to go.
