The vibe I currently get from everyone is that Tubby was a popular second choice for a lynch today, and I would be on the block for Blue's sketchy participation and my own contentless hammer.

I am voting for PP because her posts are riddled with fence-sitting, usage of phrases such as 'to be honest', and repeated use of the qualifier 'really', all of which are scum tells in my eyes. Her vanishing during Ash's lynch and her straight forward, near emotionless style of writing (odd, for a cornered newbie town) during Day 2 further indicate to me a cold, calculating scum.

Furthermore, of the remaining members, I have a strong town read on Nikanor and yourself, a decent town read on My Milked Eek and Porkchops, and a more or less town town read on Tubby. Given my own town PM, that means six town reads and one scum read. With no town lynched at this point, it was an easy hammer to lay down.

Well, with almost a week long night phase, I've had the chance to read the thread a few times. I definitely picked up on some nuances that I had missed the first time through.

I still think Startransmission is town, as DV7's attack on him and the subsequent counter attack don't feel like bussing to me. I cannot imagine myself voting for him today.

I have found Nikanor's analysis of each player to be more or less reasonable, but a few things caught my eye, most notably the following.

His case on PurplePrincess was one of the factors that helped convince me to vote for her, yet his case, despite its air of decideness, was not accompanied by a vote. This is not something that I realized until I saw the list of four votes that lynched PurplePrincess.

I understand not voting in that particular post, as PurplePrincess was at L-1 from Tubby, MME, and Porkchop. But this is Day 2, with no roles, and a scum already lynched, so surely a townie can't be so paralyzed with the fear of mislynching that they fail to hammer the person they think is scum for an entire week?

Blue described himself as being a cautious voter. I'm sure you all have noticed that I am not. Not that I don't think heavily before I take a decisive action, but just that I'm a 'break a few eggs to make an omelette' kinda guy, I value voting pattern analysis as much, if not more so, than behavioral analysis, and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty.

So with that in mind, I have a hard time seeing why there was no vote for PurplePrincess from Nikanor at all yesterday.

That's fine. L-1, and you want to consider one more person before laying the vote down. I understand that.

Except that your analysis of Blue came and went, and your analysis of Tubby came and went, and your analysis of Porkchop came and went... and at no point do you speak of the fact that the person you've gone so far as to say that you think is scum is hammerable, and hammerable by you.

I do not think it is unreasonable to say that it looks like you were using MME's demands for content as a cover for slinking out of the responsibility of hammering on a mislynch.

a) I was still waiting to hear something from Blue or his replacement.
b) I wanted to analyse everyone's play. I was starting to think that tubby was more scummy than pp, after reading his play as well.

cautious. You can take a look at my meta if you'd like. I have never hammered as town. Based on my suspicions of tubby late yesterday, I probably never would have hammered, and would have pushed a tubby lynch instead.

I'm here, Nik, and I've recovered more or less. Holidays are coming to an end and soon I won't be up to my ears with crabby mothers and mumbly kids who can't make the easiest of decisions. What does this mean? More time for me to post.

As it stands, I'm pretty convinced of ScumTubby. An Isoread leaves me underwhelmed with his contributions, and Ash's pushiness of Tubby's pro-town read (even in the face of being called scum) are big factors for me.

@Pads: Rather than waiting for players, why don't you just out with who you think is most likely to be scum at the moment and we can discuss from there? Seems to cut to the chase. Your analysis of Nik isn't too bad, but a more decisive conclusion might be nice. Also, considering that you replaced in and hammered immediately as I recall... well, you can't get too worked up about his vote never making it there. Sometimes, it you just aren't quick enough.
