Eek! We have a deadline? You should put it in the headline, DP, someone could forget it ;).

IMO olio > Pbug, but there's not much I can do about it at this point.
This is just here so my posts don't look so ugly when I edit them.

i have a question- at the deadline, is whoever has the most votes (after reaching 5) lynched? or is it who reached 5 first? i assume it's the former, but i'd just like to check before i change my vote.

just so MeMe and Nox still know i'm here: i'll post meaningful content at like midnight.. or 2.. or when i get home... but now, i must go to work.

your friendly mod in the rules post that everyone should have read wrote:[06] Lynching will be carried out once a regular majority is reached - and cannot be undone by unvoting. If I impose a day deadline, lynching will require at least half of the regular majority.
In case of a tie, first come first served.
In the endgame (six players or less) only lynches with a regular majority will occur. Votes for no lynch will be accepted.
And just to clarify further: most votes always takes precedence of course.

vote: PBug
. I don't care much for the olio bandwagon. I went through his posts and really didn't find anything all that bad. I also disagree with both Vesuvan and the silent speaker's reasons for voting for him.

At this point, I'm not too happy with either of the bandwagons. But I'd prefer PBuG more than olio, so
unvote Peacebringer, vote PBuG

Unvote: Someone
and
Vote: Pbug

This bandwagon does seem like a stretch, but it is Day 1 and I'd rather vote for someone who doesn't defend themself, then vote for Olio who has at least added to the discussion in the game. Pbug hasn't responded since the first vote put against him.

Plus the bit on Someone was mainly for fun on my part.

Would you mind clarifying what problem you have with my reasoning?

He's straw-manning my position, mis-representing my arguments against him and going hell-bent to try to make me look scummy when there is nothing for him to work with. IMO that's more scummy than someone actively lurking in the thread.

Please tell me (and I'm quite open to anyone who disagrees with me here answering this) how someone actively lurking in the thread is more scummy than someone actively using craplogic to attack another player.

I'm quite in favor of a PBug lynch in the absence of other evidence, but I'm of the opinion that the evidence against Olio is stronger.

I think I'm going to throw my vote in with the Pbug lot. Of the 7 posts, 6 of which are two lines or less... none of the seven are substantial. Every post expresses a)a "drunken" ambivalence b)regular ambivalence, or c)following the trend of the previous few posters without adding additional commentary, just agreement. (with the exception of the post which says solely: "
Sorry o.o;
")
For failure to post anything of significance...
vote: PBug

So I've been watching the last day here, and the rush of votes for PBug at the end (perhaps counter-intuitively) actually has me thinking he may not be mafia. Both were tied at five, so any vote either way could have made the difference. If Olio were mafia, I would expect some of his buddies to get on the other wagon to try to save him, whereas if PBug were mafia, I would have thought more votes would have gone to Olio. If neither were mafia, well, I would have expected the mafia to stay out of it completely--happy no matter what happened (note this could still be the case.)

PBug has Nine by my count, and I have no idea how much time is left (I'm U.S. Eastern time vs. GMT). There are legitimate points against both, nevertheless, I will register my opinion with a:

Unvote: Someone

PBug should get his butt back to the thread to see he's about to be lynched. I'm not going to ask the mod to prod him when he, himself, has abandoned this game. It's bothersome.

Here's the deal. PBug's at 9 votes. Time for me to see if he's posted anywhere on the site since he his last post. Be back in a few minutes.

:(

3 1/2 hours to deadline. I don't want this game to go on haitus until PBug gets back. But nor do I want PBug lynched without a chance to say something in his defence.

Day 1 has already lasted well over two weeks. I am not going to retract the deadline and see the game stall until Monday, then pick up speed again so we may have a lynch after another week or so thereafter. If we're lucky.

Deadline hits in 30 minutes from now.

DING DONG

Time to throw someone out, and the collected guests decide that PBug, although apparently he is not around at the moment anyway, must go. Bye!

You have just evicted Ataraxy, a humble townie.

Night falls, get choices in before Monday 8PM GMT.

Wakey wakey, rise and shine.
Maybe it was all a bad dream, and you can still have a party like you planned. Maybe. Maybe not. It looks like the latter, because Olio is not looking too good. He is also not seeing too well, since apparently someone has had a go at his eyes. He is off to the hospital and out of the game. You have lost Foolster, yet another townie.

Seventeen of you, NINEvotes to evict the next one.

edited eight to NINE - should not do complicated mathematics just before bedtime....

I'd like to let everyone now that I POSTED IN THE VACATION THREAD!!! I was lynched without even having a chance to defend myself. Good job, you took the easy way out. Bravo.

Well, obviously you didn't inform us or the mod. It isn't our responsiblity to look in the VLA thread. If the mod feels like looking through then that is his/her preference, but when you're going to be absent, you may want to inform the mod directly ..

I've modded games where I've had to go through situations like this, and in turn have encouraged my players to let me know personally.

Don't mean to sound like I'm upset or anything.

Good morning all.

So Olio was targeted. That makes no sense for mafia, considering the votes he was getting yesterday. It doens't make a whole lot of sense for a SK role, either. A vig. hit, on the other hand, makes a certain amount of sense. That would mean that the mafia missed their kill, however, (and would bolster a no SK theory).

Time to look back at who voted for who and why. I will say that with Olio a townie, that means the top two vote getters were town when the deadline was approaching yesterday. Mafia might, therefore, have stayed out of it completely. My idea that we could look at who voted late, is pretty shot.

Thoughts?

EWP: PBug: I can't speak for everyone, but I don't read the vacation thread. If you want to say you will be away, you should post it in the game thread as far as I'm concerned. LmL found it and announced it, however, so people did know. But there was no time to let you defend yourself since we had a deadline. Sorry.

What a baby. :P

Regarding the night kill -- in my opinion last night's "had a go at his eyes" suggests that SaberKitty (the role, not necessarily the player) might be last night's killer.

I thought that the only roles in this game had to be people who attended Jeepfest, Saberkitty wasn't one of them or otherwise she wouldn't be in this game.

It possibly could have been another female, like Nonny, Talitha, Halfpint, or Mackay.
