Yankee, your top two suspects are the two people who are voting for you.

Is it possible that there is an element of OMGUS in this?

pardon the inactivity, Christmas preparations are killing my time...
(OMGUS, another term I learned today, wouldn't "retaliation" be easier for everyone?)

@Yankee, P520: I sense a revenge-vote. my reasons for thinking is that you don't have any reasons. Please explain, as now it seems like you're going into defence mode. Making me think you have something to hide.

@Annachie: In your posts #501 and #508 you are FoSing and clearing boberz all within the space of a few words. Those posts read as more of a distraction then actually trying to figure anything out.

That is a much better way of explaining what I was trying to say in one of my points ksen. I have unfortuantly not got round to my notebook. The blasted election in the UK and christmas prep is really eating into my time. Will honestly try asap, but im unlikely to find much more untill i do. Tyrope seems to be trying to play safe but that would not be a bad idea as town tbh (as well as scum obviously) so i dont get much from it. I will give an order based on myimpressions with little evidence more of a gut feeling but i have explained points elsewhere i think

Most Scum

Annachie
Tyrope
Yankee
Ether
ksen
Patrick

Least Scum

This feelse like a definate order to me, not many people very close to each other.

I've let this slip a bit lately, will read the recent stuff more closely tomorrow. Maybe I'm developing a bias, but I got a bad vibe from Tyrope's last post. I don't think what he's saying about Yankee is true.

Annachie and Tyrope, is OMGUS scummy?

Patrick. Not really. But an OMGUS is a reaction vote, not a thought out vote and I have always advocated thought out votes. (It's why I don't like the RVS stage and generally don't participate in it)

@Patrick(532): i find a reaction like that, as stated before, a little scummy, though not a definite scum-tell. however, i also agree with Annachie in post 533 that it's not thought out
most of the time
, one can surely think out a OMGUS vote, providing you have reasons/scumtells.. wich yankee lacks, AFAIK.

@Yankee: I think i missed when you explained it, could you quote it or give me a post number?

Annachie Reasons -

Pushing for my lynch with little to no evidence, and being very vague even when asked to be specific.
Post - 506, 510

Also he seems to be making up a fake case on me that makes no sense in his post 511.
Post - 514

Tyrope Reasons -

General Wishy Washy-ness, Bandwagoning, and lack of commitment.

Post - 483, 506, 514, 520

Hope that is specific enough for you.

oh and lack of commitment? i'm sorry, but i'm reading this topic at least 3x a day, not always posting, but never not being committed.

Lack of commitment as a scum tell. I dont agree.

How come as soon as ether and I lose a bit of time/internet access or whatever the game slows. I urge the towny members to push this game forward.

This game feels slower lately, and with christmas coming up I don't see it getting better anytime soon. I'd like to see more from Ether, or at least an acknowledgement that she'll get to it after her exam on Monday.

Reading today again, my unease with the Yankee wagon comes mostly from Annachie's vote. I agree that Yankee was factually wrong in saying that Ether was the only person suspicious of him yesterday, but I pretty much get what he was saying - that Ether seemed the most aggressive towards him. This just seems like an odd reason for Annachie to vote him. I could potentially see an Annachie/Tyrope here, with both going after what would presumably be the most obvious target for a lynch, and each listing the other in second place. Tyrope has been looking scummier to me lately but something about Annachie keeps making me hesitate. Post 375 still doesn't seem to me like the type of post that a newbie-scum would make if he was trying to discredit Ether. It's an observation that I don't think anyone had brought up, and suggests to me he's been metagaming with a view to discerning alignments. Yankee, I'm still not wild about, albeit his posts today make sense. ksen's posting seems ok to me lately, and the nightkill makes him a bit less likely to be scum. I'd rate him as 4th on my list right now.

I'm going to
Vote: Tyrope
, as he's the person I'd feel best about lynching if we had to now. If he's scum, I think I'd guess at his partner being Annachie, Yankee, ksen in descending order.

For the record, I don't feel as though Yankee's vote on Tyrope was particularly OMGUSy. He has given reasons, and I got the impression he was suspicious of Tyrope near the start of the day.

Tyrope, by lack of commitment, I do not mean to the game itself, I mean commitment to a vote. You seem to give reasons for why you are suspicious of someone, but you dont follow up with a vote or anything. The only reason you voted me was because I pointed out that you hadnt committed to vote for me and it looked suspicious to me that you hadnt...

Why wait? If you have information that would cause town to view Yankee as scum you ought to spill it. What is going to happen over a couple of days that would make it more appropriate to wait to tell town your suspicions?

I reread most of the game without absorbing a word. I feel like I had a lobotomy.

Having said that, Tyrope/Annachie is the most likely pair. Largely from finding reasons to write off Yankee/Tyrope and Yankee/Annachie. Yankee felt like a fallguy to me early in the day. (I am not interested in pursuing Boberz or Patrick as scum, and I think Ksen is unlikely as well.)

Other people also coming to that conclusion. Cool. The Tyropewagon is fine by me.

I was synchronized. I'm more efficient with the rest of my life when I'm not busy feeling guilty about putting off mafia games. I guess I should probably work some more studying into the weekend, but it's not the cause for my recent inactivity.

A fallguy is someone who the scum plan to mislynch. I kind of caught a whiff of that earlier in the day too.

Without wanting to look like a broken record i mentioned i thought yankee was better than some though about 2 pages ago (I dont want that forgotten).

I am less safe on ether than i was yesterday, but i still think town. Patrick is now safe in my eyes. ksen is much better in this day but I dont want to write him off in case he got some kind of advice in the night. Tyrope seems the best kill on paper, but there is something about annachie that seems bad to me.

I was waiting for Ether, and iirc Patrick said she had an exam on Monday and wasn't likely back before then (
inner dad says school first!
:)

It boils down like this.

Patrick town.
Ether town.
Boberz almost certainly town. (I voted him this day to settle my own mind on him)
Ksen has only ever appeared town to me (But I have tried not to mention any alignment for Ksen before so that the scum would think I was swinging on him)
Me town.

That leaves Tyrope and Yankee.

So I planned to wait for either Tyrope or Yankee to vote someone and followe them to see what the other would. Trusting that Ether and Patrick would not rush into things.
Imagine my surprise when Tyrope voted Yankee.
Now with 2 votes, if there were other scum out there surely they would have tried something by now. Both Patrick and Ether had expressed concerns for Yankee, and I believe similar concerns have been expressed for Tyrope by people here so it wouldn't be that hard to join the wagon. After all, if Tyrope or Yankee were indeed a mis-lynch I couln't see anyone but myself being lynched the next day for a scum win.

So one of Yankee or Tyrope must be scum, and I believe that the other one must be too purely on the process of elimination of townies.
I try not to sign things. It just encourages people.

ok, a few questions. What makes you certain of Ksen's town"ness" and if you think me and Tyrope are both scum, then why would you not Vote for tyrope now since more people tend to think of him as scum rather then me as of late. You seem rather hesitant to vote for him, and what makes me such a more appealing vote then Tyrope?
