First - Stoofer, my assumptions were on the inkling that Someone is scum. However, more on this will be elaborated on later in this post.

Secondly - I'm somewhat questioning the Someone bandwagon at this point, mainly for the quote listed below:
Commodore Amazing wrote:
unvote: Axelrod, vote: Someone
to keep it close at 5 and 5.
Ugh. Can another player call me paranoid now? This post REALLY bothered me, and I hope it bothers everyone else too.

Incredible FoS: Commodore Amazing AND Nox

I mean, seriously. Why would someone justify a MAJOR vote like that (to even the score
WHILE WE ARE APPROACHING DEADLINE
. At this point in time, I do not have DP's ruleset in front of me, but I have played in games in which a tie vote as such leads to a no lynch and ultimately bad news for the town.

If Someone comes up innocent, I will find this post to be incredibly suspect and incredibly difficult to comprehend. Could it be that both Commodore and Nox are scum together?

I think I just may be a little bit paranoid right now. Quite a possibility. However, we're late in the day and we don't have the time to start a Commodore bandwagon again.

Moral of this longwinded post? If need be, I'll be happy to switch my vote to Nox before the deadline, unless the townies (more than a few) tell me i'm being paranoid.

Lord and Master, DP wrote: [06] Lynching will be carried out once a regular majority is reached - and cannot be undone by unvoting. If I impose a day deadline, lynching will require at least half of the regular majority. In case of a tie, first come first served. In the endgame (six players or less) only lynches with a regular majority will occur. Votes for no lynch will be accepted.
Okay, so not as bad, but still shady as heck.

Commodore's plan, as I read his posts, is to keep things even so as to force players to make a choice between the various bandwagons, thus providing us with information to use tomorrow. I don't agree with this strategy, but I don't think it's necessarily scummy. The problem with it is that unless one of the available bandwagons is known to be scum (e.g., after the fact), we can't really draw any certain conclusions from this at all. And even if one of them is discovered to be scum, by creating a lot of roil (which Commodore certainly is), it just muddies any conclusions we might draw.
It takes a village to raise a lynch mob.

Nope, it bothered me just as much.

Then again, I've been accused of paranoia before, too...
Incredible FoS: Commodore Amazing
Totally agreed (left out Nox since my vote is there). Especially after CA pointed out that he was keeping the votes even to observe scum voting patterns (hint: traps don't work when you tell the person you're trying to trap that it's there)

It bothers me too. A lot. If it wasn't for the deadline, I'd push for a Commodore lynch today.

Unvote Axelrod
, that's not doing anything. I am not sure which of our leading bandwagons is better--personally, I'm not too fond of either. For now, I believe I will hold my vote.

Alright, I'm claiming.

I could vote Someone in order to save me from beeing lynched; however, I'm still not completly sure of whether he's scum or not, so I'll play it safe.

I'm "Polarboy", and I'm a mere townie. Unfortunatly, I have no special abilities to help the town. :(

I have absolutly no clue who Polarboy is.
However, I think Commodore Amazing seems to be a good target for a lynch. I would prefer a claim beforehand, though.

I'm MATTHEWV, the townee.

I don't think nox is scum.

That being said, I think the town would benifit from me more dead than alive. Knowing that I am townee, the voting patterns are very telling.

I don't know why I'm argueing against myself, but I really feel that I'm the better lynch today.

unvote, vote someone

MatthewV attended jeepfest.

Someone: If you're telling the truth, you know you're innocent...but you
can't
know that Nox is. And why wouldn't we learn just as much from a Nox lynch (who claims to be townie, just like you) as yours?

What???

God, I'm confused. But I suppose I believe in a suicidal townie slightly more than I believe in a suicidal mafia. And he attended the Jeepfest (for whatever that's worth).

Unvote: Someone
I don't understand why you would prefer to die over another person who has claimed
basic
townie, even if you think they are innocent. It would seem your life is just as valuable as theirs, but I now doubt, so I unvote.

I really am at a loss, however, as I don't find Nox particularly scummy either, and most of my feeling against Commodore hinges on Someone also being a mafia. Time to re-think.

I'm saying that I have been much more active on bandwagons, much more targeted, and been the center of discussion for most of the game. Nox, OTOH, has just been singled out for a couple posts she has made.

There has been much talk about voting patterns and whatnot, and they center upon me being scum, which is not true. Perhaps in my death, you guys may realize what you could not while I'm living.

Plus, I still don't think nox is scum. I don't know why...it's just nagging at me.

A Mafia Proxy is someone who knows who the Mafia are, but the Mafia don't know who the Proxy is. The Proxy wins with the Mafia. What a Proxy does is to try to get him/herself lynched, usually by drawing attention toward themselves and away from other Mafia who are getting votes. Bascially, their goal is to protect the Mafia, particularly if they have to sacrifice themselves to do so.

Not likely, but who knows what DP's thrown in.

Here is the list I am aware of:
Jeep in the General Discussion Thread wrote: For the record, here are the people who came to the event in order of arrival:

JEEP, JEEPsWife and Willow were here, of course
Tally & Lump
Hey_Herb and Hey_Wife live in town, but swung by the house to get the car seat and hung out chatting for a while, so that counts as their arrival to the con.
Big_Kahunia
Coyote
IS, ISWife, The Onion, mith, and Cadmium
Groza528, PookyTheMagicalBear
mathcam and halfpint showed up for a few hours
Nonny
Samadhi, Mackay, and Pablo (Pablo only stayed for a couple hours)
FaerieFire and Boyfriend rolled in with MatthewV and CasinoPete
Hey_Kids were here too, but I don't remember when they first showed up.
On Thursday Yoko Kurama arrived. He was the last to arrive.

We're deadlined in 24 hours. If we take Someone's claim at face value and his innocence as read, then either both Vesuvan and Leonidas are scum or neither are. Assuming neither, the people who come off worst under my scenario are EnterYourNameHere and Mr Stoofer, with Fuldu running a relatively close third. Mr Stoofer also comes off weaker in Axelrod's grand theory. As well, Mr Stoofer already has a vote (from Leonidas) so the best chance I see for a scum lynch is
Unvote: Someone, vote: Mr Stoofer, Mod: requesting deadline extension.
Lynching Stoof will give us almost the same quality information lynching Someone would, and he's more likely now to actually
be
scum.
I think it's pretty clear that TSS's awesomeness did alter the roles each of us recieved, and thus he's obviously pro-town. -- Save The Dragons
