Yes. Xofelf pretty clearly said "
Except
in the past games i've played with them". So Sens with his "more importantly" is off base.

Although I can see how you would read it the wrong way, because if you start at the beginning "But whoever...", it isn't as clear how "Except" is being used. Sometimes people say except instead of "but". But for that to be the case she would need to have said "Except
that
".

So yeah, that's a pointless little semantics argument.

a) how does expressing suspicion = just a bit of rhetoric
b) why were you suspicious about it being a cop breadcrumb specifically? Aren't breadcrumbs usually specific? Do people breadcrumb "as yet unnamed power role"?

No, we killed him night 1.
Xvart wrote:You're surprised that no one joins in your suspicion of someone being scum based on how rude he is?
No not in the slightest. That wasn't the point.
Xvart wrote:What are the "among other things?" You felt it was only important to mention the rudeness but not the other things?
Well, a) I fully support policy lynching people for being rude and b) as was discussed in the
several posts on the preceding page leading up to my CyberBob vote
I didn't like how he tried to jump to "it was a bit of rhetoric" when I asked him what was up with that post. Of course he wasn't asking me to point the supposed breadcrumb out, I wanted to know how he came up with cop-word specifically. I still don't know what he meant by that. I feel his whole reaction to a "What?" post and the follow ups sounds a bit like scum worried that he's going to get jumped on. I haven't decided whether the rudeness is a bit tactical.

All in all it's rather weak, but it's only page 12 and there hasn't been much useful posting this game.

Lack of content, however, is true, and I agree that it's scummy. Also his reaction to a sudden wagon on him ("What, you don't find Cyberbob scummy?") was lulz.
Hello Papa, I think your are misunderstanding Jack's intention with that post. ISO CKD and tell me what you see. Same for Steam powered. I would peg both of them as opportunistic.

CKD abandoned her third post of the day and only serious case with a weaksauce "I've been back and forth on Jack...that last vote though...". I think in Jack's opinion the vote is fairly obvious given the context of the discussion the previous day. CKD, what made you go back and forth previously?

Steam powered said he didn't think Jack's cop breadcrumb (or whatever it was) was scummy earlier but votes Jack for being "deliberately unhelpful"-->which isn't really a fair accusation imo, CKD would be a better target.

SpyreX seems to be ticked off for some reason, but that's another story I guess.

I think this game might be a record for most words without anything worthwhile coming out of it. But then I guess a lot of the big games are like that, pyp II being the exception of course. But I think the other two I was in were like this. If we aren't going to policy lynch CyberBob we should just lynch CKD and get to day 2. Except not actually, just act like we will to move things along a bit.

I checked one of xvart's other games (over) but got bored partway through reading his ISO which I'll take as a sign that I should be paying attention to someone else.

interesting statement...this REALLY is sticking out to me. At this point post (289) Jack has 4 votes. Cobalt just has 2. You express suspicion on Jack in the post with an FOS, but you vote cobalt instead? So why not vote Jack to "run up a wagon" and see if Bud jumps on it?
It was more of an observational post, rather than a real "experiment;" regardless, at the time of my post, Budja had already set himself up to jump on the two next largest wagons (Jack and Cyberbob) either by direct statement or FoS's so running up Jack's wagon wouldn't really do anything for my suggested "experiment."

xvart.
So when you said this in response to Budja when he commented on that "see if Budja jumps on it" quote:
xvart wrote:How did I misrepresent you? I didn't even make a direct comment about you or say Budja does this or Budja does that. A little defensive?

I don't really see what you are trying to say. He didn't respond to my wagon statement other than saying I was misrepresenting him. Furthermore, he didn't "call me" on the content of my post, which you seem to think he did. My response to him was about him claiming I was misrepresenting him, not the wagon comment or him being "wagon happy." I didn't misrepresent him at all. He should know himself that he has been very vocal about liking several wagons, FoS's on all the leading wagons, the temptations of switching wagons, etc. How is me saying I was curious to run up another wagon and see if he was going to get on it misrepresenting anything? Do you think his post in response to mine is a sufficient rebuttal? He didn't refute anything other than saying his vote hasn't moved in ages.

xvart.
You evasively claimed that you "hadn't made a direct comment" about him or said "Budja does this or that". But by your own admission you were accusing him of jumping on wagons scummily and for no reason (don't try and claim that you were just matter of factly pointing it out, this is mafia).

Scummier and scummier. Your just soooo casual about the wagon on you, aren't you. You probably made up that bit about putting the wrong name down.

I think KMD is legit busy. Since the game he's modding has been in night for a few days longer than it should have been.

Vote Count 25: Lynch

xvart - 2 - Kmd4390, FeFiFoFum
xofelf -
9
- SensFan, Papa Zito, xvart, SpyreX, Cobalt, Cyberbob, ooba, Steam-Powered Shovel, Elscouta
Jack - 1 - curiouskarmadog
Cobalt - 1 - Starbuck
Steam-Powered Shovel - 8 - farside22, SocioPath, MehPlusRawr, Drippereth, Jack, Iecerint, Budja, Anon
FeFiFoFum - 1 - J-Scope
Ooba - 1 - Elmocrates
Elscouta - 1 - Nachomamma8

Not Voting (1): xofelf

With 25 players alive it'll take 13 to lynch and 13 to no-Lynch.

There are no players in the
Halls of Mandos
, so right now there are no
Revive
or
Destroy
counts.

Drippereth, I find that putting forth arguments tends to help getting the lynches you want. You might want to consider that next time.
In this game and your completed game you checked you weren't heavy on arguments. You said you were a gut player in that game.

You sound most like Parama (scum) from pizzaria, complaining about gut reads on him with nothing else attached.

I would assume FFFF is lying if it comes to that, just cause he's FFFF. It kind of sucks to have a watcher role if the mafia group kill doesn't show up on it, but it's possible.

The thing about the "ability to see if anything was done to the target" is that "watching" isn't actually doing anything to the target. It's just looking at them from a distance.

Yes, I think FFFF is the lying scum here, and Ooba didn't get a result because of how the mafia kill is done. Could have been a group kill, she could have been hit during the day and only died at night, etc.

It was a good play actually. He was probably going to get lynched or investigated at some point, so might as well claim with a fake result and either get a mislynch or out a power role.

I disapprove of asking for the case before you decide whether you think the person is suspicious. You can read yourself, either SPS or the people voting him. Asking for the case only makes sense if you suspect the person you are asking and want to see what kind of reasoning they have.

That was not an answer to spyreX btw. With the 2-shot bit I was thinking that it was silly to think that his role was "too powerful for scum" when we only had his word for it that it was unlimited. But I don't think the too powerful bit holds even if it is unlimited.

No no. The point is, you are talking about how it doesn't make sense for scum with unlimited revive blocks to not block the revival of farside. But why do you think he has unlimited revive blocks? If he only had 2 or 3 and was scum, wouldn't he claim to have unlimited to make the role "too powerful for scum"?

If SPS was scum (what's the flavor thing about him not being an elf = shouldn't go to Mandos?) then Anon is a likely scumbuddy. He he kind of flits around the wagon. The only person he's really pushed is FFFF. Read his ISO.

Jumping on a soft claim seems a bit opportunistic. If I'm town and someone I really suspect soft claims I usually just demand full. It's way better than pushing a wagon up imo. And CKD is seeming fairly genuine, which they aren't acknowledging, it's just "soft claim blah blah 2scum4scum what a bad defense, let's wagon him".

If he's lying he's lynched what's the harm. If he's telling the truth we get rid of someone else we determine scummy who hammers.
Issue?
Don't talk to me about strategy farside.

It's not a case of "if CKD is SS". It's a case of "CKD is alluding to possibly being SS". So the best plan is to have someone volunteer.

Iec is sounding like scum especially with that last comment.

But I'm very confused about the confirmed scum stuff, and the kills and all theses elves...let's hold off on the revive-destroy stuff for a while.

Decent bet that the Anon wagon was derailed by scum. CKD seemed town.

I don't think CKD is scum for the softclaim; there's no question that it was stupid as hell but at this point it looks like he'd almost be happy with dying because that would mean proving certain people wrong (which is anti-town as shit for a PR to do but scummy? IMO no).

I'm a bit stumped for just who actually might be scum at the moment, the waters are muddied as hell with all these competing wagons. SPS was probably scum given his entirely unneccessary lie; I'll give him a read to see whether there's anyone he came off as especially neutral on or didn't mention a whole lot (both of which being indications of a scumbuddy).
From page 55, CyberBob is scum.

Edrahil, town vanilla, elf.

"There were ten that stood by him; and the chief of them, who was named Edrahil, stooping lifted the crown and asked that it be given to a steward until Felagund's return." (Silmarillion, 170)

I got a one-shot track from j-scope earlier and used it to track SpyreX to Anon.

Game has a good chance of being over when we lynch starbuck. The elf mafia has a decent chance of only having 3 members--given that they can be revived. And probably the third is elscouta or ooba.

Simply doing my duty. I think my plan would work, so I proposed it. That is all. It is a mistake to read desperation into it. I am not desperate. I do not entirely believe that you are being honest with my when you say that my reaction screams scum however. That is something.

I was having trouble getting into the game. And I thought it would be funny if the mafia went back looking for it.

Oh. I thought you were making a clandestine reference to a perceived Cop crumb on my part in Greek mythology (the "innocent eyes" bit from that game). Which is part of why I was resistant to calling you scum over there. And I thought that mindset wouldn't fit unless you shared alignments in both games. So that was the basis of the Secret Towntell. :P

I guess I should've guessed I was overthinking it when I crumbed my having figured it out in GM and you didn't confirm it. XD
Lol. No, I had no idea about any of that. I thought your secret town tell was something about how obviously town I was acting this game
