If you feel the RVS is over and already have two town reads why wouldn't you vote for someone at this juncture? Also, how valid do you actually believe being active is as a town tell? I've seen very active scum in multiple games, it doesn't seem like a worthwhile tell.

I do not have any scum reads at this point; although we are out the RVS, it is still early. I definitely want to wait for everyone to post before voting. Being active is a gut town-tell; it is instinct. However, it should be avoided if possible as it in reality means nothing. Being active is not a town tell, but trying to remain unnoticed is usually a scum tell.

In order to get anywhere, the town needs to be past the RVS. It is needed to start discussions and scumhunting, but it in of itself has no use. Thus, the quicker it is over, while still being functional, the better.

No. Basically nothing is a town-tell, exceptions being confirming through mass-claiming, investigations from a sanity-guaranteed cop, and the like. Scum are trying to act like town, making most "town-tells" useless.

There is little to note in the pages I have missed since it is filled with THEORY DISCUSSION but the most noteworthy was the recent spat between Timeater and Riceballtail. Riceballtail seems like he is trying to find the easiest thing for him to put a vote on, and give an excuse for contribution. Timeater's confirmation question was actually a pro-town thing to do in my opinion. Riceballtail seems like lazyscum to me.

No, it's more like reading, and commenting on scummy things I have seen. I had not seen any scummy things in the two days I went without posting.

He tried to make an explanation, but it reeked of being thought of after the fact. Some might have not smelled it, and therefore do not see him as scummy. I can't do much to change their opinion except give mine.

TheButtonman seems like he is either blunt, misguided town, or pretty good scum. He is doing scumhunting, and has some valid points but I do not like his brush off of the RBT wagon, and his chainsaw defense.

I am comepletely up for a pman lynch at this point. Right now he has actively lurked (I say actively because he was here, just refusing to post anything) to the point of getting prodded... Twice. I also want to remind everyone that this is within 7 pages. He has also contributed very little to town. In fact, if you look at his post 8 he states that he has been active and not V/LA or anything but he refused to post because

TheButtonman chainsaw defended RBT by attacking the wagon. His defense of RBT also sounds more like he is defending timeater. Which to me shows that he isn't paying attention to what he is talking about.

@SB: I never said I would not scumhunt if I wasn't forced. I said scumhunting can't come on demand. If I see things scummy, I will obviously point them out. No secret strategy. From my experience, lurkers do not go unnoticed. It's the people that contribute, but do not make any big statements, go on to the largest wagon, etc.

missed this question, sorry. People need to give the reasons for their vote, for sure. In my experience (which is little), if everyone gives their opinion about everybody, then it causes way too much confusion, and is way more likely to give an incorrect, misleading tell than just catching scum one at a time.

Also, you guys are just going to use this following statement as noobclaiming, but I think the info is relevant. Of all of the games I have completed or died in, I was scum in 4 out of the 5. My first 3 games completed were all as scum. It was all I played for the first couple months on this site. I will say I am not as good as town as I am playing scum, just due to experience. I will try my hardest, though.

There is a difference between your fingers mistyping vote instead of suspicion and accusing one player of doing things that sound like what the other player did. Even so, I never said that him mixing up players was scummy, I just was making an observation, seeing if he would confirm. And yes, if someone I have a towntell on does something scummy, I will report it
