Just throwing a couple of ideas out there: Is it possible that the mafia don't have units? Is it possible that the mafia are assigned units each night? Because I've played Civ 1 and III, and in neither did the barbarians ever build units, and only rarely were even able to capture cities.

Interesting if you take it from the standpoint he could be mafia in this instance.

The basic game of Civ3 had 16 civilizations. But I am concerned that assuming 16 civilizations = 16 townspeople with 4 barbarian antitowns is a mistake.

For one thing, a 4:1 ratio seems too high for the town.

For another, massclaims Day 1 or ever pretty much automatically breaks the game *too* easily to be plausible. If the setup were 16 civilizations + n barbarians, I would have thought that the game would have had more players to allow a larger barbarian horde, setting aside the problem of massclaims. But I can’t see only 4 antitowns as plausible, at least not without them having safer claims. And if there are more than 4 antitowns, there must be less than 16 protowns.

To me, Emp seems to have some information, which just reeks of scum. Of course, voting for Bamboo wouldn't hurt my feelings any.

Here you justify your vote for inHim by suggesting that his mentioning a GF is something scum would do to try to "blur the map of cleared townies". Believe it or not, I was trying to say that unless either me or raj is a GF, it's irrelevant. d-Rouge and Astro are probably-innocent-by-implication rather than investigation.

I realize that at this point, almost no matter what I say, my odds of surviving until the end of the game aren't great; even if I don't get lynched today, with 2 guilty cop investigations on me against 1 innocent, I logically probably will get lynched or vigged eventually. That's why I didn't tell the truth earlier; I knew if I claimed to be a miller, I'd probably get lynched, even though it's true.

It's frustrating, because I decided to start building the space ship after Puzzle found me innocent, figuring that I probably wouldn't be investigated again. Bad luck I suppose.

am Gilgamesh of the Sumerians, and now that I'm pretty confident we have all of our scum accounted for, I think we have this in the bag.

I'm maxed out on technology. I have two 100% roleblockers, and one 100% cop unit.

My only cop result was unfortunately on d8P last Night. I built a Radar unit or whatever the first Night I had modern technology, on the off-chance we might have two outed scum and I could start blocking. I have since built another Radar thingy.

I'm pretty certain Yos is our single scum left - I blocked him last Night, and we only had one kill.

I think we should lynch a player I'm pretty sure our Middle Eastern scum is, and that would be d_rouge. That way, if there

Given the stated results, I'm sure you're innocent, Akonas, but you need to think this through some more.

There are 4 eras total. Players start in the Ancient era, and can advance to the Medieval, Industrial and Modern Eras via night actions - instead of building a unit, you can advance one era. Each era has its own selection of units you can build - the more advanced the era, the more effective the units.

I advanced eras until I could do so no more (Modern). I did this because I generally live for a long time in these games, and I wanted to have units I knew I could count on when it came down to crunch time. I'm so confident about my outlook on this game because I do indeed have fully-functioning units. This game has been quite the bear, and knowing that I can single-handedly help the Town through this endgame process to a win probably made that post very matter-of-fact.

So, there you have it. Ask all the questions you want.

Some units have a Bombard value - these can be used as roleblockers. The player can choose to have the Bombard-capable unit target the player's cities or units. Should they target the cities, then that player's unit production or era-advancement for the night will be nullified. Should they target the units, then all that player's units will be unable to perform any actions.

It's very odd that you claim you didn't have to decide if you were going to block my cities or my units, inhim. Unless you're claiming that your unit could do both?
