Quiet Town was as quiet as a town can be. Nothing interesting ever happened, and people was fine with that. Or were they? Maybe too much peace can bring a person insane... The blood of the mayor was dry and his body cold when the town members found him lying in the plaza. Many were scared, many others thought it was only a mere robery. However, the killings kept on until only a few remained alive. It was obvious whoever was behind the killings wouldn't stop just yet. Fearing for their lives, the remaining town decided to do something about it. During the day they will gather in the plaza and try to find the culprits for these murders and lynch them. However, things wouldn't be easy, as in the past few days some townies had killed themselves. It was, then, a race between town trying to find the murderers, the murderers trying to kill everyone else, and the few madmen trying to kill themselves gloriously.

General Rules
1- I am the mod, and my word is final. If you have a problem with it or you think I have something wrong, you are free to discuss it with. I am but a judge, not a god.
2- Have fun. Really, this is a game and you should enjoy it.
3- Play to win.
4- I don't like personal attacks, so try to keep your tone and insults low.
5- Do not discuss this game outside the thread, unless your role says otherwise.
6-
Red
is my pretty colour. Do not use it.
7- This is a game with short deadlines, so if you can't dedicate its proper time, please do not in for it.
8- Do not edit or delete your posts.
9- I can include a new rule at any moment I want.
Ingame rules
-Voting:
You may vote for another player using
vote:player
. You may unvote using
unvote
. Unvoting is necessary to move your vote from one player to another. You can also choose to vote for a no-lynch, using
vote:no lynch
-Lynching:
When a player has the majority of votes that player will be lynched. Further changes in votes will not affect this result. For a no-lynch, only half of the possible votes are needed. When a lynch is reached, you may still post until I post the scene and lock the thread.
-Deadlines:
Days will have a strict deadline of two weeks, subject to change only during certain circumstances (replacements, high activity, low activity, among others). At deadline, if no player have a majority, no lynch will occur. Nights will have a deadline of 48 hours.
-Quoting:
You may not quote any communication out of this topic. This includes role pms, questions to me, QT links, among others. Failure to do so will result in a modkill.
-Modkills:
If you break any rule, you will be, at my discretion, modkilled. Modkilled means that you will lose the game regardless of the result of your faction.
-Activity:
I expect a post from each player each 48 hours. Failure to do so will result in a prod. Failure to respond to the prod will result in replacement or modkill (at my discretion, taking into account the length of the game). If you're going to be away for more than 48 hours, post in this topic the VLA warning. I do not check the VLA topic.
-Death:
Once you are dead you are dead. I allow a single bah post, containing no information, but please at least try to make it funny.
-Scum claim:
It is completely forbidden to claim scum/scum partners, whether you are scum or not.
-Roles and factions:
There is at least one vanilla townie in the setup, as well as at least one mafia faction. All factions have a winnable condition. If a win condition is achieved, and it doesn't directly interfere with the win condition of another faction, the game will keep on.
For example, if the win condition of a player is to get certain player lynched, should that player achieve that condition (and no other win condition is achieved at the same time), the game can keep on.
Feel free to ask me any question you might have.

@.@ wrote:before I /conf(o)rm.
I need clarification from the mod. Please tell me rule 4 is a joke? How are we supposed to play mafia if you're limiting the ways we are allowed to argue? Like, I have never really seen a compelling reason why personal attacks should not be allowed. If I am to play for my win condition, and that win condition is best served by making player X angry and illogical so he isnt thinking straight, then why should I not be able to try to achieve that? Unless this rule is lifted I am going to have to /out. I'm not saying I need to tell someone to go to hell every other post, but I really dont like when mods limit my potential strategies and don't tell me in advance.
Yours truly,
@.@
Actually... I won't lift the rule for you or for anyone else. If you want out, then leave. In fact, there is a player waiting for your slot, so if you don't want to play like that then please tell me asap so I can tell this other player that he can in.
Thanks.

The second sunrise
Another day arrives... The townspeople gather in the plaza, and start to count themselves. For the surprise of ones, and the disappointment of others, the 11 remaining townspeople were complete. It seems as if the night had gone without any killings.
DAY 2 STARTS!
With 11 alive, it takes 6 to lynch (6 for a no lynch).

The Wrath of the Goddess
The day suddenly blackens just seconds before Percy is lynched. A heavy rain begins to fall, and from the skies, as an arrow sent by the Heavens, a lighting falls and reduces drymshottyizsik to ashes.
drymshottyizsik,
cop
, has been modkilled D2 and loses the game.
drmyshottyizsik wrote:I am a retired cop, I decided to find the murderers with the knowledge gained through many years. Each night you may target a player, and you will know if such player is scum or not (guilty or innocent).
This is clearly a violation of the rule of no quoting.
It is now Night 2. You have 48 hours to send me your actions.

It seems town wasn't lucky this night. A single gunshot was heard during night, a single body was found dead on the morning. The imminent threat remained...
gandalf5166,
Vanilla Townie
, was killed during Night 2.
Day 3 starts now!
With 9 alive, it takes 5 to lynch (5 for no-lynch).

Dum dum dum... Another sunrise, another bloody sunrise. It seems even though last day a murderer got caught and justice was done, the killings were long from over.

Isn't this over yet???? It seems both town and killers yet remain. But now, with so many left, we have reached what it seems to be the final day of this madness... Will town see the end of this alive? Or will they meet the same fate than PieMan and the others? Oh, yes, that reminds me...

Tension rises between Chronopie and Katsuki after CSL died hanged. Was he the last killer? Or did either of them was doomed? Chronopie was searching CSL's stuff trying to find anything, when suddenly Katsuki grabbed him from behind and threw him into an oven. Sadly for town, Katsuki was the last killer.
CSL,
Vanilla Townie
, was lynched on Day 5.
Chronopie,
Vanilla Townie
, was turned into a
Vanilla Cupcake*
during endgame.
*: Has no real ingame effect, just a joke from the winner.
Katsuki,
Mafia Godfather
, has overtaken the small village.
Katsuki and Percy
have won the game! Good job!
Stef
has won the game!
The town and the rest of the jesters have lost the game!

Roles
Plain ol' vanillas. Nothing weird here.
A simple cop. Jesters would appear innocent, btw. The cop wasn't as helpful as it's supposed to be due to the scum GF. It was a two-edged weapon, but luckily for town the cop nailed scum before dying.
Ah, the truth power of town, and it was wasted with Snow White inactivity. This role could help town gaining more members and preventing lynches on jesters. It had the downside that it depended heavily on preventing jester lynches. But, any roads, it was totally worthless due to the inactivity.
The scum godfather. It was there for the sole purpose of giving scum an advantage (town had the psychiatrist) regarding the cop. If the cop investigated him, there was a high chance he was confirmed for the rest of the game.
The scum goon. Nothing strange here.
Ah, the spice and sugar of the game: the competing jesters. I'm surprised they lived that much. I thought they were going to go mad after D2, but it seems they didn't. In the end, I felt they didn't try that hard to get lynched, but well. They were bulletproof for two reasons: first, to give them an extra chance to get a lynch, specially because they needed to survive N1. Second, to balance town-scum powers. Town loses a lynch if they lynched a jester, scum loses a NK if they target a jester.
There was a hidden rule regarding jesters. If one of them got lynched, and the town psychiatrist was alive, the other two would stay alive until turned into townies or until killed. If they reached endgame without being turned into townies, they would lose. If the psychiatrist was killed, they would have lost and removed from the game at that same moment. If a jester got lynched, and the psychiatrist was already dead, the other two would have lost and been removed immediately from the game.
Well, I guess that's all. I'd love to hear your feedback. This is the first time I get to mod a somewhat crazy setup, hope I did it alright.
Oh, scums, you are free to post your QT if you want to.
