No, it's a policy lynch in any size game. And if you're going to policy you really ought to lead out the gate with it.

My quick advice in that situation is to look at his wiki. (link at the bottom of his posts)

A quick summation is this;

He wins a fair deal as scum.
He loses a fair deal as town.
As scum he glides by because "scum couldn't be that bad"
As town he's a distracting anchor that is a detriment in the late game.

No, he just plays in a consistent anti-town/scummy way. Other town tend to WIFOM themselves into not lynching him, and if he's town then scum *love* him for being like that and never bother to kill him.

Trust me, I'd be willing to put down $5 that if we don't lynch shotty today that he's a top suspect tomorrow

Also, backhand swat at edmund for being "scummy" with no explanation why and no vote. Makes zero sense.

I wanted to know if your attitude in this game reflected your general opinion, or if you were unprecedently gunning for a quicklynch here. I already thought your policy lynch idea was bad; I just didn't know if it was scummy yet.

Conclusions?

Do you guys want to lynch him as a punishment for his past behavior, or are you actually trying to win this game? I'll be happy to lynch him if he acts scummy, but you guys are playing stupidly.

If we're playing stupidly then why don't you pick up a banner and lead the charge in a direction you approve of? Or, y'know, you could sit there and call people stupid and just ask questions without taking any particular direction of your own - whichever works for you.

I'll again note - policy or no there's a 1/3 percent chance I'm right from your perspective - what's so "stupid" about that when it also gets a VI?
Do you find shotty town thus far? Why/why not?

@shotty - that's not IIoA, that's making a vote without a lot of support which is the definition of what RVS is.
You being on drugs is not a valid rebuttal of VIness unless you will never post again while under the influence of anything that will affect your thought process.

I tend to like fast RVS acceleration into functional conversation.
Here's another thought - if, somehow, that policy lynch wagon had super accelerated into a lynch that flipped town - I think we'd be in a good place to find scum on the wagon Day 2.
If it had super accelerated into a lynch that flipped scum I would be your new personal hero and probably dead Night 1 (if the hammerer didn't go).

@Gandalf - want replacement first, need him to get in here and act scummy or townish as I don't really have a read on Far_Cry yet and I don't want to go into Day 2 with that as a situation.

Really also not liking Crazy right now, his posts just feel like they were dancing around the shotty question, sorta mudballing me for mentioning the policy issue while also trying to gently drift into wanting to vote shotty. He feels like scum who wants to leap but is trying to make sure he looks town first.

This post is the closest thing to a "scumslip" that I've seen. This post heavily implies that Shotty is town. Explain, please.

I think you're scum because of how you're acting around the Shotty situation, so if you're scum I don't see him being scum and discussed the tell that way. Yes, generally when people accuse someone of being scummy for how they're pressuring another player the presumption is the other player is town. I did that and happily admit it - don't consider it a scumslip at all, consider it normal scumhunting.

@Crazy - you read me right, I knew something was weird in the shotty/Crazy combo but I thought it was because you were scum and shotty was town VI. That said, shotty is probably lucky we had andrew to draw the mislynch or he probably would have swung. I know in the mason QT I was debating between edmund or shotty as the obvious lynch for Day 2, and felt pretty good whhen town got it right.

I actually was almost frothing to have you lynched this final day, but honestly bv's hyperlurk threw me off too - and shotty's fakeclaim had me convinced we'd won I probably would have played it similar to gandalf.

Fun game.

@gandalf - one of my first games had that happen to me when I was wrong in lylo. I hated it and it hurt emotionally (though in a *manly* 'actually wasn't hurt' way) At that point I noticed how...accurate everyone's reads seem to become after death and/or in dead QT and realized most of it is just angry braggadocio and covering up for frustration and trying to blame others. As such I never do it.

We played, we lost, we'll do better next time.

It is hilarious how much we worried about you outing yourself Day 1 though, since apparently it never crossed scum's mind. Ah well, next time we'll just always policy lynch shotty, as gawd intended.
