I apologize for my absence, it's been a crazy week.

Anyhoo:

Flipping through the game, there's honestly very few things I find to be scummy, particularly with the entrance of DMSIS. I did not like Jmurph's random popping in, hopping on the shotty wagon, and then taking off again. Jesse seems to be acting like he usually does, and I don't know how I feel about Don right now.

@Don: Do me a favor, FOS someone.
Tastalas wrote:Noone else finds it odd that the person who was killed last night was the person who had the least amount of posts?

He had his RVS vote and then just one other post about the DMSIS wagon - he mentioned him Jmurph in his second post - wondering if that could mean anything, maybe Jmurph is scum and was like "Oh shit a2rudeboy is on to me, lets kill him tonight"
I agree that it's kind of an odd kill, the other part I tend to doubt. The mention of Jmurph was so brief and so vague that killing him over it seems a stretch.

Vote: Jmurph

DJ your vote meant absolutely nothing.

Commie why would you admit that the mention of Jmurph was a stretch yet vote him anyways?

Because his vote was scummy?

I'm only saying that Tas' theory that Jscum killed killed rudeboy because of rudeboy's brief mention that Jmurph being on the DMSIS wagon was scummy.

I am voting Jmurph because I believe his vote that put DMSIS was abrupt, he said very little as to why he was voting and then vanished again. Scummy.

Tastalas in this post brought up the fact that rudeboy, being the least active (actually, tied with me :shifty: Sorry again guys!), was dead. One of rudeboy's two posts was an RVS, the other was this one:
/prod pickup

Wow. I am not liking the speed at all with which this dmsis wagon built up, especially some of the players i see on it
(Jmurph comes to mind in particular)

With two scumgroups, I'd like to at least see a bit more discussion before lynching someone, and am not really supportive of policy lynches.

I will say that Kats replacing out was off. I don't know if it was OMG100PERCENTSCUMMMZ

unvote
Tastalas suggested that Jmurph may have killed rudeboy for the bolded, fearing he was catching on. I essentially told Tastalas that I thought rudeboy being the kill was somewhat odd, but that rudeboy's mention of Jmurph was such a quick, low-key comment that I didn't think it was anything to get too exited about.

Okay so you're reasoning is basically because his vote on shotty was abrupt. Similar to DJ's.

The second part is pretty much throwaway reasoning. I seriously doubt tanstaslas' little bit about rudeboy's mention of jmurph to be accurate. I mean really? Come on now...

Jesse is right, just because you vote doesn't mean you helped. You provided nothing Day One.

It was such a big deal because it was frikkin scummy thats why.

day started. i scrolled up the screen and looked at the ending votecount. jesse and a2 were not voting. a2 was dead. thus, vote jesse. it certainly helped get the game moving. not sure what the issue is.

The difference is that was all you did while I didn't just vote Katsuki, I discussed other matters also.

Why is not voting scummy?

first, i don't believe i said it was "scummy" per se. i use my vote as an investigation tool. if you'll notice, it has since moved. i support the jmurph wagon at this time. see? my vote is producing a trail of my suspicions.

not voting leaves no trail of evidence. votes can serve as proof of suspicion. i.e. if jesse goes the whole game without voting or expressing suspicion, how would you determine his alignment? voting moves the game forward by applying pressure, forcing others to take a stand as to whether or not they support particular cases, and are the only way in which town can successfully rid itself of scum(vigilantes aside of course.) it is a core component to the game of mafia. theory discussion without voting = fluff.

imo my vote on jesse brought him into the open and has forced him to participate. he disagrees, so whatever.
robo wrote:The difference is that was all you did while I didn't just vote Katsuki, I discussed other matters also.
again: not my fault he got modkilled. day was shortened. also, the matters you discussed were irrelevant imo. kind of lik i feel that your pursuing of this matter is also irrelevant as you are ignoring the crux of my questioning:

how is my vote "scummy" and yours is not when the votes were FOR THE EXACT SAME REASONING? your answer of "well,
i
was having an irrelevant theory discussion with jesse" is lacking...

I'm going to be completely honest: my vote on shotty was purely policy lynch based. I've played with Shotty in the past and he ruins games. I would probably have replaced out if it was decided not to lynch him. As is, neither of these things took place. I know that my absence is obnoxious, and I apologize and promise to be more active in the near future, but for now, something has unexpectedly come up and I will thus be
V/LA until Monday the 11th

Because scum throw meaningless votes out to not attract attention to themselves.

YOUR VOTE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. It was everything you were doing BESIDES your vote that was getting conversation started. None of your votes have done ANYTHING to start conversation because none of them mean anything!

Vote: DJ

Because I have NO idea how we're going to make it through this game with players as ridiculous as you. I don't think you're the scummiest player but you're in my top three and considering there's four scum that's good enough for me. And I think you'd be the most beneficial dead to the town.

votes are never "meaningless". and this:
jesse wrote:Because scum throw meaningless votes out to not attract attention to themselves.
is called wifom. sometimes scum are extremely cautious with their votes so as not to attract attention.

grade: D -

anytime the other half of the playerset wants to chime in, we can continue. a jmurph response to the arguments raised against them would be good form.

Sure there are. Votes are meaningless when they're created to fall into a black hole of obscurity by not having any reasoning behind it for other players to go off. It's anti-town, always. And the fact that you're defending anti-town behavior is ridiculous. Scum play all different types of ways and like I said I don't think you're the highest likelihood of being scum but you're pretty darn close. That combined with the fact that you're probably the best lynch of the day cemented my vote for you.
And who's going to stop me...

@robo- my problem isnt' the vote, its the over-the-top mea culpa aspect to it after the fact, as if you're trying to impress upon us how innocent you are and how bad you feel about lynchign town.

Internet slow today. I'll try again tomorrow or Monday when I'm back at work.
