Sorry, sorry, sorry, oh so sorry I couldn't keep my word and post on Tuesday. :(
For the same reason I had to leave early last Monday, I couldn't post on any other day:
Conditions. They were bad. Specifically, I was snowed in. 4 inches of dry snow+slick ice+a steep hill = trapped. ;(
Ah, well. We all know these things happen. Real Life Writes The Plot, sad as it is. :/
My bad. :'(
Anyway, I'm back...
I'm back! Well, kind-of.

Jay's post here has a lot of what seems like noise. Jay's mentioning a lot of things I already have. He--with a slight case of paranoia--brings up things he doesn't even believe to be true (Mute possibly being scum). The last part addressing Mute I found valid, though.
Mute wrote:My suspicion is that L22 and whomever else is mafia is piggy backing onto someone else to spread the suspicion from them.
What exactly do you mean by piggybacking on someone else? That term can have multiple meanings. It could mean the scum are supporting someone else ("Yeah, you're right, X!" "X is right." "I agree with X", etc.), or that the scum are supporting a certain wagon. ("Vote: Y; I like this wagon", "Vote: Y, because of *reasons*" when Y is a leading wagon.) The two are completely different, and I feel like there's another meaning it could be, though whatever it is slips my mind. (I got one or two hours of sleep last night. Kinda braindead. :P)
Anyway, I think that's the only game content we've had so far. I'll need to reread the thread to get suspicions, but right now--off the top of my head--I'd take a guess and say it's Jay and Trendall. (But, again, mostly gut; I need to reread the thread to make sure.)

Lateralus22 is a bit swamped with school at the moment, so Nachomamma8 will be replacing him. Thanks, Nacho!

I don't like that Mute is lynching Lateralus :D.
I'll have a post up tomorrow.

Yeah, that sucks. Was trying to get a response out of Lat with my voting, see if my suspicions of him were accurate. Sure of him they turned out accurate
enough
, but this new guy I'll need to see more posts of.
UNVOTE: Lat22/this Nacho dude.

._.

Seriously though how was everyone's holiday? I had an okay one myself.

Okay, I've never seen anybody claim in such an inappropriate place and for such an inappropriate reason (especially after I categorically said that we should no lynch to stop mafia being able to work out power roles), so I really don't know what to do in this situation. Lynch today and no lynch tomorrow, am I right?

Given that Mute's doc claim appears legit, it seems reasonable to lynch today.

Hi, Nacho. I've seen you around, but I don't think we've ever played together. ;)
I look forward to your fresh perspective. :)

Agreed. As I said, I think my main suspect right now would be Jay. (It WAS Kayi, but due to Mute, she gets a pass for now as semi-confirmed*.)

(*See previous post on what "semi-confirmed" means: not confirmed, but less likely to be scum, so should be left alone for now.)

Hey Nacho, welcome to this game.

Over the holiday, I've had enough time to think it over and I think that lynching probably is the better bet now that Mute has claimed. UNVOTE: No Lynch

@Mute: I had an alright holiday, thanks for asking.

I too, will be doing a quick reread of the topic because I feel kind of disoriented, what with the holiday and all the inactivity.

Vote: No Lynch

I haven't thoroughly read the game yet, but I did some selective reading since seeing a No Lynch wagon on Day 2 was extremely surprising to me. And from my understanding, the two main points for a no-lynch this early were to stop scum from finding the PRs, and because town statistically did worse lynching when even numbers were alive. Now, I normally like to wait to No Lynch until I have to, especially when we've ended up with even numbers because of a successful doc save; if they did it once, there's still the possibility of them doing it again and making numbers nice and odd again.
But now that the doctor's been outed, I see no reason not to do it now. The only way the numbers WILL become odd again is if we no-lynch, since Mute's powers are now officially useless. If we do it now without any discussion, we won't risk accidentally outing a possible cop by pushing him to L-1, and we will increase the chances of them surviving another night by not giving the mafia as much material to glean a cop read from.
As an added +10 bonus, no-lynching will give me time to catch up, and time for others to do all of those rereads they were looking to do without having a whole bunch of new material to deal with.

Uh, with Mute outed as Doc there's no reason to no lynch, as at the moment it is reasonable to assume Mute is town, thus we're technically only chosing from 7 players.

Your reasoning appears to be
exactly
wrong.

I think the no-lynch reason still stands, it's more of a question of doing it now or later. Right now I'm thinking we leave it for later, so Mute can have a voice since it is likely he will be NK'ed as doc.

Only having a short window for this each day I'm not done with my reread, but I should be tomorrow, so you will get it all then or the next day.

I'd love to be night-killed.

The only reason I say this is a way for the mafia to discredit my claim via a NK. Say they decide to no-kill on N2, and I say "oh hey another successful block," that'd make them look bad. They could kill me and be on with their merry way, and the game'd go on as planned. They could kill someone and hope I don't predict their kill. This could either result in "oh hey Mute just made a wrong call," or someone could come along and say "well he didn't block the kill, maybe he false-claimed and the real doctor's too busy laughing at this fool to want to oust himself." Sure it comes down to luck, picking the right targets to save, but if I were scum it's something I'd consider as a gambit.

'Course this is also a newbie game. I'd save the gambits and ploys for more involved games.
