Newbie 1024 -- Minimalist Mafia (Game Over)

I have finished re-reading, and I can't find anyone else who I am so confident is scum. I am ready to lynch Trendall at this point.

As for a second suspect, I am leaning more heavily towards Jay than Nachomamma8.

Part of my time reviewing the thread I spent specifically looking over what had triggered my initial suspicions of Jay. I think the things I posted about him originally are still true. After the Mute hammer and flip, I immediately began looking at Trendall as the most suspicious player. At the same time, I believe I gave Jay too much benefit of the doubt for saying similar things as Mute's defense of "I'm a newbie, that explains my mistakes". After review, this just doesn't seem a strong enough defense.

I see your explanation of the power roles discussion as valid. In particular, I think eliminating any claim to Cop is a huge benefit.

As stated, I am willing to lynch Trendall. I think he is far and away our highest probability of getting it right for this Day. I am aware of the stakes at this point, but I don't see any reason to shy away from my conclusions.

No. In fact I'm ready to do it myself, but I want the input of the rest of town first. I would like Trendall's defense, but it's about 24 hours since he's posted the claim and 48 hours since.

I am going to be unavailable this evening, and I think there is plenty of evidence to make lynching Trendall the best play for us.

I think that Trendall has given up, and only scum stand a chance of winning by doing that.

While this isn't evidence Trendall's scum in and of itself, he's apparently got a little time to check the site within 48 hours of popcorn claim, and if he's been inactive for 96 hours, similar to right before the Mute hammer. He's either given up or hoping town's gone in a different way again so he can quickhammer for the win.

DLG's posted his case, I've posted my case. While I meant what I said about taking our time, it's about time to go all in. Trendall seems uninterested in posting a defense OR giving us more information; this makes him the best lynch at this juncture.

Yeah, this was a key point. I was consciously trying to walk the tightrope between looking like a cautious townie and pushing your lynch before you had a chance to get back on stride and turn the tables.
