It's cool if no one else votes for DN for now... We don't want another accidental quick lynch.

Does anyone know the usual mechanics of assassins? Scum teams still get a faction kill when they die, right?

I repeat this question.
The flip said he was a ninja. I dunno what it does - who submitted that role?

@ deathnote: thanks for self-voting. Since you're scum I actually think that is a pro-town action! Would you mind outing your buddies now?

In other news I don't want to lynch anyone until IS comes back. He's probably the person I trust most in this game.

I’m not overly fond of DeathNote’s self-vote and attitude, but he’s trying too hard to get lynched.

Anyway, I am more concerned with PopularTajo and his bro-mance with Xalxe-scum at the moment.

Beginning with his first post, we see this pattern of aiding/deflecting.

1. Called Xalxe “OBVTOWN” in his first content post; defense is rather vehement.
2. In the same post says “one of IS, Zoraster, DH, SC, or DN is scum.”
3. In the SAME post, lists town reads as "SC, Sevei, ender, Zaj, Dana, Xalxe, DN.”
4. FoS’s Olinea in the same post; goes on to say Zor is also scummy and that he doesn’t like Furc. Votes Olinea.
5. Says he still has no read on IS, Noc, Tasky, or DH.

So, in this very first post, Tajo says that one of IS, Zor, DH, SC, or DN is scum; however, he likes SC and DN and “has no read” on IS or DH. The only one of that list left is Zor, whom he FoS’s, but he places his vote elsewhere, on someone not even in the list. Why? (I’m also curious as to his early town read on me, since the only thing I had done at that point was point out WheninRome’s weird need to apologize for not being active when not everyone had posted yet.) Anyway, this first post looks like a lot of fence-sitting to me—fence-sitting coupled with the first defense of Xalxe.

Other Xalxe defense/deflect posts
:
ISO 9; 32 (especially fun since he spent ISOs 28-31 demanding that Xalxe do some scumhunting); 37; 38; 40; 46 and 47 and 63(repeats of 40); 48 (putting Xalxe as third on his lynch list—soft bussing while attempting deflection); 64; 65/72 (the VC “case”).

Points of Interest:

Tajo's Opinion of Xalxe:

Let's go back to Tajo's ISOs 28-31, in which he first demands Xalxe engage in scumhunting in THIS game before demanding Xalxe link a completed game. Now let's talk about ISO 32.
Tajo wrote:ok, i did some analysis in Xalxe's games and I really think Xalxe is not the play today. (this means the obvtown read I had from him has diminished but I still have some reasons to think he can be town).

The town game, he started it by proposing discussion in "Lynch all liars?", similar to his behavior here with the role claiming idea. He also compiled the doctor actions in night 1 similar to the actions here.

The scum game, he made himself very obvious by FOSing only Hoopla in a post in RVS. He was very aggressive against Fate, the competing wagon, a behavior that is only slightly repeated with Zajnet, who is not the competing wagon. I must add that it would have been very easy to jump against Olinea but instead Xalxe insisted on proving his role.

Finally, calling six people scum is a towntell so yeah I think we should be lynching Furcolow here.
Wow. Since no one was agreeing that Xalxe was obv-town, and a lynch was looking inevitable, something had to be done. In the first paragraph, we have a textbook example of fence-sitting. The analysis of the two games is weak (especially given the fact that Xalxe was on Furc's wagon); the final comment is completely out of the blue and has nothing to do with the analysis of either game, so it reads more like Tajo's just trying to brush off the suspicions on Xalxe and move on. He also never addresses Xalxe's lack of scumhunting in this game (that he insisted Xalxe begin engage=ing in); the entire series of posts from ISO 28-32 looks like a gambit to get Xalxe off the hook and to distance them from each other at the same time. (In before "Scum wouldn't defend their partners so hard" WIFOM.)

Tajo's VCA of the Furc/Xalxe wagons:

My problem with the VC “case” is the same today as it was yesterday.
Sevei wrote: @Tajo: If Furc's partners were on the Xalxe wagon, where do you think Xalxe's partners were?
Let’s look at the case.
Tajo wrote: Furcolowscum was sitting at 5 votes while Xalxe was sitting at 8 and close to a lynch. If we assume Furcolow is not scum with Xalxe (town or "another team") what could Furcolow scumpartners be doing in this votecount?

Yes. Voting Xalxe.

Thats why Xalxe is not an optymal lynch with the information we have after Furcolowscum flip.
<snip>
When the lynch became inevitable, after Furcolow fakeclaimed cop, Im pretty sure there was some bussing involved. People that switched: dana, SCoug, IStranger, Deathnote. One of these guys is scum.

If nobody is getting the DemonHybrid hate then Im willing to swith to Deathnote, since both dana and coug are now dead and town, and I have a neutral on IS.
If Furc’s partner is one of those people, then where is/are Xalxe’s teammate(s)? By Tajo’s OWN reasoning—the Furc wagon.

When Xalxe was in the lead for a lynch, the wagons looked like this:
FashionLlama wrote: Xalxe (8) - DeathNote, zoraster, Zajnet, Internet Stranger, Sevei, ender241, WhenInRome, Furcolow
Furcolow (5) - Nocmen, populartajo, Xalxe, DemonHybrid, Fishythefish
With five people going for Furc at that time, there is a good chance that Xalxe had a friend on the Furc wagon who was actively trying to get votes on it instead of on Xalxe.
Who could that have been?
Out of the three living players on that Furc wagon, only Tajo has repeatedly insisted that Xalxe was town—and itis logical that it would be Xalxe’s partner would have a good reason to drag this wagon up again on D3 when Xalxe was back on the hot seat.

Tajo's Non-Optimal Lynch:

I also tend to believe that players who insist someone is town while also making a lynch list that reads “DH >> DN >> Xalxe” (ISO 48) indicate that said player is trying to deflect the lynch while distancing himself and soft-bussing at the same time. This is a weak, weak attempt to distance the two of them (especially after the snuggle-fest in ISO 32); he didn't HAVE to put Xalxe on his lynch list at all, but because of the amount of suspicion towards Xalxe, he must have worried about NOT putting him there. After all, WHY ELSE WOULD YOU PUT A STRONG TOWN READ ON A LYNCH LIST?

TL;DR

1. Tajo defends Xalxe throughout the game (big defenses in ISOs 1 and 32);
2. Tajo's VCA of the Xalxe/Furc wagons points to him as Xalxe's buddy;
3. Tajo puts one of his strong town reads in the third position on his lynch list for the day (deflecting/distancing/bussing).
4.
Vote: PopularTajo

Welp, I do like the wagon on DN, but I'm not voting just yet because I'll probably destroy the space-time continuum or some shit. In other news, I've got an orange pill! Should I take it?

I'm ok with the Death Note vote right now. I'm willing to vote/hammer him as necessary, but I will wait a few days for more discussion before I vote. Normally I wouldn't wait, but I want to make more rereads since I'm mostly V/LA.

Ninjas generally can't be stalked. Assassins generally can kill through protection.

What I want to know is: is it site meta to still have a faction kill if such a player dies?

I dont see the point of mas claiming but I find it interested that their is only 1 submited vanilla townie type role. Will there be any vanilla townies in this?
Sorry if I insinuated it was vanillaless but what I was trying to say was that we can not assume one of our roles to be in the game. Plus, what if no one submitted a vanilla town role, wouldn't that make this a vanillaless game?
^ You said those things day 1.

Then day 3, you claim vanilla.

Pretty sure you're lying.

DeathNote, I think you're likely on Furcolow's scumteam. (C, I think?)

You hammered him with such a weak, sheeping vote. "I agree... HAMMER!" Although there should have been one more to hammer, you still WERE the hammer.

You'd been voting Xalxe all day, and I think you switched to Furcolow at the end as a bus since it was obvious Furcolow was doomed.

If there is a mafia team A, you might be on that, but I think it's doubtful you'd be on mafia B with Xalxe.

That is stupid. Why would I change my claim in a game which everyone can be a role regardless of alignment. Fakeclaims are not necessary. One of the roles I submitted was a hidden role in which you are told you are town but actually sided with the mafia.

I wanted to see if someone (FishyFish) submitted a standard VT otherwise I had to assume I got my own role.

Perhaps your role looks particularly scummy, like populartajo's, who is the porn star or something, iirc.

But hmm.

See, if you had done this on day one, I probably would never have expected you in the first place.

Now I don't think I can trust you.
