[General Rules]
1) All site-wide rules apply.
2) Unless your role PM permits you to do so, do not discuss this game with any player outside the game thread.
3) Do not edit or delete posts.
4) Do not post in the thread when dead. A single "bah" post with no game-related content is permitted.
5) The use of smaller-than-normal text, invisible text, or encryption tools to hide information in your posts is prohibited.
6) Do not quote any communication you have with the moderator, including timestamps. Careful paraphrasing is acceptable. Please contact me first if you are unsure of whether a post will violate this rule.
7) Inactivity kills games. Please be considerate and play the game you signed up for. If you do not post every 48 hours, you will be prodded. If you receive 3 or more prods, you may be automatically replaced without warning at the moderator's discretion. Please notify me if you will be V/LA.
8) Red is the reserved moderator color. Do not use it. Black will also be used by the moderator. It, however, is not reserved.
9) Flavor is written for your enjoyment only and has absolutely no relation to in-game alignment. Analyze it at your own risk.
[Abilities & Effects]
10) This game is nightless. It will remain open nonstop until a faction fulfills its win condition or the game is terminated by a moderator. Any faction with the ability to communicate amongst itself privately may do so at any time.
11) Each player has at least one static CO ability. These abilities are in effect at all times while the player is alive.
13) Each player has at least two activated abilities: A CO power and a Super CO power. These abilities are measured by a "Power Meter" that tracks how often they can be used. Each player will be informed by private Quicktopic what percentage of their power meter is full.
14) Power meters are bankable and shared. Once your CO Power has finished charging, your Super CO Power will begin to charge. Once your Super CO Power is fully charged, your meter will cease to fill until you activate a power. If you use a CO Power after it is finished charging but before your Super CO Power is fully charged, any extra charge left over will remain in your meter.
15) To use an activated ability, simply PM me the ability you wish to use and any appropriate targets. Abilities will be resolved at midnight every real-life day. Ties will be broken using NAR.
16) Some abilities resolve immediately, whereas others last a certain number of days before expiring. Your power meter can still charge even while an ability is in use.
17) If a player is killed, any effects that player's CO power is causing end immediately.
[Voting, Lynching, & Death]
18) To cast a vote, post a bolded Vote: Playername command in the thread. Unvotes are appreciated, but not mandatory.
19) You may NOT Vote: No Lynch. If you wish to no lynch, simply refrain from voting and the game will continue until a majority is reached.
20) Who is voting who is public information, but the total number of votes a player has and/or the number of votes required to lynch a player are not.
21) There are no deadlines. Instead, a mandatory "lynch cooldown" period with a day length equal to the number of players in the game will be in effect at all times. Whenever a lynch occurs, a lynch cannot occur again under the cooldown period has elapsed (for example, if a lynch occurs and there are 11 players left in the game, another lynch cannot occur for another 11 days). You may still vote and votes will still be counted during this time.
22) If you feel the game is moving too slowly, you may Vote: Accelerate Cooldown in addition to a normal vote on a player. If a 2/3 majority of the players vote this way, you will gain the ability to lynch immediately. However, this will cause Black Hole's kill power to automatically charge to 100%.
23) This is a partial reveal game. Name and alignment are revealed upon death, but any abilities a player had are not.[/area]
The Allied Nations (Town) win condition reads as follows:
You are aligned with the Allied Nations. You win when when all other factions have been (or are certain to be) neutralized.
