So you already think Sloth is scum?Empking wrote:Vote: Sloth- He looks like scum pretending to be useful.
Right now I could pick any of Looker, TS, or Pappums as people that need to get more pressure. So I pickVote Looker. Why does Empking look like scum?
Pappums, why are you voting Sloth?
TS, you've yet to say anything at all, but you seem like you're posting.
To be honest, I haven't seen anything yet that makes me think someone is scum (shocking) but am surprised others have.-

Pre-apology: Some of this is out of order because I saw a couple things, noted them and then re-read the first 3 pages in more detail.
Why are the wagons so concerning to you?Sloth wrote:Pappums, care to explain, or are you just wagoning for the sake of wagoning?
hypocritical much? Or do you think Vi is scummy?Sloth wrote:Hiplop, why criticize looker for an IIoA-ish post and then throw down an RV?
Do you see this as scummy too? If so, why is your vote still on Vi?Sloth wrote:I think it's the wagoning at the first sign of a semblance of a reasonable vote, Vi.
So, you are saying you did that on purpose, to be "cheeky"? Or did you agree with what Quilford was saying?Neuky wrote:I saw what you did there.. (and you are right of course - I thought it was quite cheeky of me, but quite deserved IMO).

I find Empking's accusations bizarre, cause I feel like at least attempting to be helpful is a whole lot better than doing nothing at all. If his feeling is just gut, I understand that, but calling me out for asking questions just seems odd.
@Juls: I see your point. No reason in holding on to my RV.

Not sure why it is weird. I skimmed, saw some stuff on the most recent page from Sloth and wrote a post. I had read page 1-2 yesterday morning but didn't have time to post, so I re-read everything to see if there was anything else I wanted to comment on.Faraday wrote:

And it looks like the answer to "got thread?" is evidently "no".

Sloth, that was a bit of a dodge. We have better-than-random votes going down now. Why Hiplop over the various other nonrandom votes going around?
The "better than nothing" defense isn't particularly convincing; looking helpful and being scum are not mutually exclusive.

Okay - 1st:
@Juls
Both. It was RVS, why say something so wishy washy? Using his logic to vote him appealed to my sense of irony.Juls wrote:

Let's see - the game starts and in the 1st 24 hours I've posted my RV, and a reply to a question from Sloth. - hardly prod material yet. 10 hours later (while I'm asleep), Vi posts the above. Folks, please try and remember we are all in different time zones.Vi wrote:I definitely think my Neuky vote is best right now. More than anyone else it seems like he's trying to hide.
Anyway, your vote and comment interests me:
Talk about vague. There's two ways I can take this - a. That you're scum trying to start a wagon on a newb, or b. (The way I actually see it), town putting some early pressure on a newb to see if he gets a strange reaction (e.g. hiding, or over defensiveness).Vi wrote:Vote: Neuky(L-6)
Something seems off, although I'm not sure I can explain it.
Unlike....
Unless he's a pal of yours, that sounds like buddying to me. I also see no reason for him to confirm your thoughts to you (presumably you already know what you meant). So, was he instead taking the opportunity to make me look more suspicious? I don't know of course, it's early days, but I don't like the buddying feel to it. (Yes I know town can buddy town etc, but to quote yourself, "Something seems off").Sloth wrote:I think it's the wagoning at the first sign of a semblance of a reasonable vote, Vi.
I also noticed Sloth's 1st hello post:

*RV post in the middle of evolving discussion
*Post clarifying that yes, you were actually trying to say as little as possible
I also saw your name on the active posters list while I was typing 36 and 38, so I knew you were around and not saying anything then too.
So you are correct about why I voted, and you even listed the suspect behavior I got back.
Actually, in this case I didn't. I felt kind of slow afterward. <.<le sheep 69 wrote:I also see no reason for[Sloth]to confirm your thoughts to you (presumably you already know what you meant).
I see why you're calling buddying on Sloth but I don't think that was what was actually happening.Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.-

Name calling from Vi? - I'm a bit disappointed if indeed that's what it is. (We could all do that, but it'd end up a bit of a barney..)
Sometimes I log on and read, but don't have time to post. (I usually post at lunchtimes at work, or late evenings). I do try and keep up. I also see Quilford is active at the moment but not posting - but I'll not hold that against him unless it's part of a bigger case.
Anyway, as you are also online at the moment, what do you think of Sloth's comment on the shortened nights?Played 2 - won as town 0 - lost as town 2 - won as scum 0 - lost as scum 0 - Yep, I'm doing that well...-

@Vi: I picked out hiplop because of what he's done so far, which is only sheeping on a point already made by Empking (about the length/quality of Looker's post) and then throwing down a random vote. He just doesn't seem do be doing anything good ATM.
Neuky, are you only voting me for the "buddying" accusation? It was more of a clarification as to why I thought that vote felt weird, which Vi brought up.
Also, I don't understand why me saying long nights are boring as all hell is scummy. They are.-

Hey Faraday long time no see.
As tempted as I am to vote Faraday for his questionable choices in trouser-wearing, someone else has caught my eye.
Both of those reasons for voting Sloth sound no good to me, and here is why. As for your first accusation, pointing out something to Vi is not the same as buddying. People do this all the time, and there is nothing wrong with it. Second accusation = WTF. Overreaction? No. He was making a simple comment about not liking long nights. I saw exactlyNeuky wrote:
