The reason I unvoted Nintendo is that Blink 182 is

likely to make it into this game, especially as I think of them in the same category as my band. Fakeclaiming them blindly, especially at this point of the game, would be very risky. So unless there's a counter-claim, I'm inclined to find it believable.

Nintendo played this way in the other game I was in with him. Scummy, needlessly aggressive, and mostly useless.

Umm, not really. It's going into outguess the other players territory. Blink 182, or any band with instant name recognition, is a very risky fakeclaim with no flips and no other claims.

@diddin, I agree with what Pine said with regards to nintendo. Claiming a specific band like that early in a game like this makes him very likely to be town in my book as being directly cc'd would be disasterous for him. Was claiming VT so early good for town? No. Would I have claimed at L-4, no. Those thinsg aside, he ain't mafia so we shouldn't vote him. I've seen many a frustrated town (myself included) claim a bit too early because of a bunch of votes being on them. Also his claim can't be that bad since it makes him obv town.

As for providing other reads, No.

His role claim shouldn't be enough to make you think he's "Obvious town" Scumhunter, especially since we had a conversation not too long ago discussing how mafia get safe claims in some games. Looking at this setup, I would say that it's entirely reasonable for them to recieve them in this game, thus a claim without a counter-claim isn't clearance material. With that said I'm leaning slight-town on Nintendo.

Decided to check on the "history" of Blink 182, aka wikipedia searched them...seems they were formed in the 90's and got popular in the latter half of that decade. Now, in no way am I saying that this is proof of a fake claim, but it definitely raises some questions, such as, Did Nintendo pick them because he thought they were a major band from the OO's and didn't check? What criteria did Slaxx use for picking bands (i.e. form date, rise in popularity)? He said influential artists and rock bands, but seems to me Travis Barker is the power player, and could have been specified as solo....idk...definately agree that his claim does not make him OVT.

Regardless, going Camping(!) this weekend, and will have

NO ACCESS

til late on Sunday...trees are like that, lol
