Newbies can only be in one newbie game at a time.

If you feel your game is going slowly, I suggest posting more frequently which will give your other players more to work with. (Any other newbie game will have roughly the same pace.)

You will be sent a private message, or PM with your role. If you look at the top of the page you will see a link that says you have no private messages-that will change to 1 message or more when you are sent your role.

Being out of town shouldn't be an issue, as long as you let people know about that.

@Blackberry, Sage-Norinel has been known to start a game with 2 IC if he feels it is necessary. 1 IC strikes me as too few, simply because there are differences in style and play level between various IC, and it's useful to have exposure to multiple people.

(The other advantage with 4 newbies and 3 IC it's likely in that setup that the scum will be 1 newbie and 1 experienced player, which is probably the most educational in terms of a game).

It's incredibly easy to mess up modding any game of mafia. Since newbie games are designed to be an introduction to newcomers, we want to keep things as simple as possible. We don't want to scare off newbies who run into a newbie mod who can't consistently count votes or who makes two different people the doctor.

(And it could be worse; newbie 268 had to be aborted since the mod (who for various reasons was modding her first game) messed up in assigning roles and made it a themed game that scum had little ability to win. [sarcasm]But I'm not bitter about that at all.[/sarcasm])

Are you going to not read your role PM, and attempt to hammer yourself on page 2 again? If so, you shouldn't be playing in a Newbie game.

I'm really annoyed with IC's screwing around in Newbie games just because they figure that it will give the Newbies some idea of what to expect. The Newbies will

already

see that, since they will be screwing around themselves! They need to see good mafia hunting habits, not bad ones.

That said, /in to play as IC. It's been too long since I've played a newbie.
