Mod: does the wincon "all of the pro-town players revived (it is not required that all pro-town players survive after being revived though)" require all townies to 'have been alive'(time between ressurection and death > 0) or is having no townies in limbo sufficient, in case of the former, what happens if we hit a day where limbo is empty, but none of the wincons on either side have been met?

The wincon "all of the pro-town players revived (it is not required that all pro-town players survive after being revived though)" requires that every town player (excluding any modkilled town players) goes through the status change "Limbo->Alive" or "Dead->Alive" at some stage in the game.

If a Day phase comes when there are no players in Limbo and no win condition has yet been fulfilled, one of two things will happen:

A) The game will continue with 1-week Day phases in which there will be no vote, only discussion, until a win condition is resolved in the Night phase.

B) If, at that stage, nothing can prevent a win condition being fulfilled in the future, the game will be ended under that win condition.

Nothing can now stop Pomegranate and Bub Bidderskins from reviving malpascp tomorrow, which will grant the Mafia a majority of living players.

I probably could have ended this sooner without dragging the whole day out, as the mafia had secured an unbeatable position very early in the day, but because a) I felt that since we had started a day, we should finish it and b) it was admittedly a little advantageous to me personally to have the day rumble on while I moved into my new place, I decided to let Day 3 play out in full. Undoubtedly some of you may be annoyed that a couple of weeks of fairly pointless discussion was allowed to continue, and I understand and apologise if that is the case. I hope it does not affect your enjoyment of the game in retrospect, and it's a situation I will look to be sharper in avoiding in future.

I will have to come back and talk about the setup, the modkill, and the mod errors that I made in this game tomorrow some time, as I'm tired and in a rush, but I hope you enjoyed this game. I'd love to hear feedback, because the Reverse mechanic is still very much a work in progress.

Setup

Yes, the Vote Switcher was broken, and I should have seen it before. I'm really not sure why I didn't twig that when I was designing the setup. What's more, as you will see from the role PM, I actually made a mistake and did not specify in the wording that it could only be used if Pom was alive - that the mafia only used it when Pom was revived was a coincidence. So I am sorry about that, because it definitely did skew the game, a game that town probably deserved to win.

My main aim with the setup was to have fun with the Reverse mechanics. I didn't want to have people just going "I'm a cop, revive me" (like the last time I ran a Reverse game, although the less said about that the better), and I wanted the roles to be fresh. So I knew I was going to use a Vote Switcher role but I probably should have made it one-shot, or possibly even a town power. The other things seemed fairly obvious ideas considering the nature of the game - the ability to kill Limbo players, block revives, the Strong-Spirited Townie. I'm quite happy with those roles as I think particularly the Purger gave a really interesting should-we-or-shouldn't-we-revive dynamic.

This is the question I really want an answer to - how do you guys feel about the mechanic as a whole? My own setup mistakes apart, did you feel it worked well enough as a game? Would you be interested in playing a different (possibly Large Theme) version? How could it be improved?
