Bands from all over the world gathered in the anonymous and forgotten fields outside Indianapolis. Crowds roared as the bands entertained them; one after another after another. Each year more people made their pilgrimage to these sacred fields, wanting to experience the ultimate gathering of appreciators of music...

23 bands had shown up that year, a record for Slaxxaroo. The first night of the event was about to commence. The crowd grew silent and everyone dimmed their lights. The glow of the metropolis lit the scene enough to see the person next to you, but not much else. The crowd waited in silence. Suddenly, a burst of flames erupted from the stage, and a band emerged in the center of the stage. The lead singer smiled and walked up to the microphone.

"You Ready?"

The crowd roared.

"Well Okay then".

The band began to play a light guitar riff. Spotlights focused on the band, along with every person in the crowd. The music traveled miles across the empty fields. A light breeze cooled off the anxious crowd of people, and slowly everyone became enraptured by the sound of the guitar. Just as everyone had fallen into a serene trance, a gunshot was heard, and everything went dark. Panicked screams pierced the silence of the crowd, accompanied by the return of the lighting. As the spotlight readjusted to the band, everyone caught glimpse of something in its gaze. The spotlight stopped on the dead body of the band's drummer, bleeding out onto the stage. Not knowing what else to do, the lead singer started to sing.

As he finished the chorus, another shot was heard and the lead singer fell off the stage, his movement similar to that of a ragdoll. He was dead before he hit the ground.

This time, however, the person manning the spot light was ready. Another band, jealous of the band's organizational skills, had shot them point blank from behind stage. They grabbed the mic and began to sing:

While the murderous band was busy indulging in their hubris, a third band rushed onto stage and initiated a fight. Punches and kicks were thrown among both sides. Knives somehow managed their way into the brawl, but in the end there was no clear victor. By the time security was able to break everything up, it was too late. Both bands were injured beyond their playing capabilities. Before being taken off by an ambulance, the third band's lead singer stole the mic and sang:

-1a. Days will be 7+(x/2) where x= number of players alive. That means the first day will be 17 days long. Decimals get rounded down no matter what.

There will be a 1 day long twilight phase.

-1c. Nights will be 72 hours long. Night actions not sent in will simply be counted as no action, unless they are compulsive, then they will be randomized.
-1d. I will not set the deadline back or forward. The deadline is set in stone except in extreme circumstances.
-1e. Prods will go out after 48 hours, too many prods and I replace you.
-1f. Announce V/LA in the thread or via PM. I don't read your signatures and I don't read the V/LA thread, in fact I just found out that existed a few weeks ago.

2. Regarding Vote Counts
-2a. These are the only acceptable forms of voting:

The replacement mechanic will work like this:

If you are replacing a VT or Goon, then your main performance song can be changed to whatever you want it to be.
If you are replacing a PR of any sort, then your chosen band will "cover" the old songs from the old player's songs

Basically this is so roles don't change but you still get to choose your death flavor. If there is a way to somehow break the game with the mechanic please PM me, but I don't think there is.

For this reason, I am going to extend night a couple days (I know, I'm sorry) but with the mod and literally a third of the players on V/La, there is no reason to start the game up just so it can veg out again. As the sun met the horizon, the group of bands came to a decision. They quickly scrounged up wires and hung a noose from the rafters. They placed a ladder under the noose and corralled EvilPacman18 up its steps. He clumsily climbed the ladder, shaking the whole way up. Eleven people chanted for him to stick his head through the noose. Tears fell from his eyes down to the floor many feet below him. He begged for a second chance; pleaded for more time to prove his innocence. Eventually though, he gave up. He stuck his head through the noose. He blocked out the noises and gestures of those who betrayed him and instead focused on the beautiful view he had from the ladder. The azure sky hugged the lake in the distance. It made him feel unusually thirsty. In fact, he had felt rather thirsty all day. His mind drifted off, and eventually he became lost in his own thoughts. He began to sing:

The sun peered over the horizon and woke up all the bands. A few of them woke up earlier and decided to fish at the lake. One of them looked at the other excitedly and grinned.

He began to reel it to shore. Steadily and slowly. He continued to reel for a few minutes, beads of sweat forming on his brow. Finally he yanked it out from under the viel of the water. Staring back at them was Furry's head. They screamed and immediately notified the rest of the group. Immediately the others began digging around the lake and fishing to find the remainder of his body. By dawn, they had found Furry's body, barely covered under a thin layer of dirt. They found a small gun and walkie talkie on him. He had been protecting those who he felt worthy. They checked his pockets for any clue of his alignment and found a small note with lyrics scribbled on it.

Everyone had joined in the search that morning, except for Pine. Everyone wondered where the chipper young man wondered off to. They searched around the lake for him, but to no avail. Someone ran back to the trailer he was housed and found him lying dead on the floor, a bullet through his head. Well, 3 bullets. Someone was very mad. A tune emenated from the speaker system in his bedroom. The group ventured to the source, where they saw Pine's bedroom covered in blood and awry. Among the rubble they found many lottery tickets and scraps of paper with the the others' names on them. They listened carefully to the lyrics playing on the stereo:

The town came to another consensus that day. The sun had set over the lake once again, a sight the bands had quickly warmed up to. This time they were for sure they had scum. Everyone surrounded Powerrox93, ready to strike. A few people who had gotten bored of the squandering were off playing games backstage. One poked his head out and drew his attention away from the game and sighed.

"Kill him".

That was the tipping point. Immediately people covered him in a gallon of gasoline. He shrieked. He sat down on the stage, legs hanging off the edge. He tried to focus on the sunset like Evilpacman18 did the day before him, but he couldn't come to terms with his fate. He jumped off the edge and began to run. Nintendo grabbed one of the torches from the stage and began to chase after him. Powerrox93 ran for quite a while, dodging the occasional stray animal and tree root. However, 16 angry predators overpowered the lone wolf, and he finally conceded. He offered his words of wisdom to the angry mob.

If my body was broken open and you could look inside, would you only find flesh?

One body was a female, this body hid a gun and a note. The note read:

There was a long pause, then they realized she wasn't killing to satisfy her bloodlust, but instead to purge this gathering clean of all of those who decided to destroy it.


On their way back they found AntB with three bullets in his head, long gone from these wounds. They wept for him and sent a note to his family. They checked the drawers and found a note.

Diddin was a dreamer.

He was often very quiet in the group meetings, only commenting when he felt necessary. Diddin wasn't your typical rockstar, no...He was more of an introspective individual. He had huge dreams of moving to the UK, starting a new life there with his fiance. They just didn't have the money though. So Diddin took on this gig and began his rise to fame.

Today was his day and he knew it. He stepped up to the rope the townies had prepared for him and stuck his head through the noose. Everyone was waiting for someone to push him over the edge when, in a moment of heightened emotion, he stepped off into the gallows himself. After his body went limp, his hand opened up and a note fell from it. It read:

He continued to run until he got to a hidden lodge deep in the woods. He found a gun, loaded it, and shot at his assailant. The masked man took cover in some nearby bushes and waited for Reg to emerge from his hideout. After a long standoff, Reg left the safety of his cabin. The man jumped out from behind and stabbed Reg in the stomach. Regfan managed to shoot a few rounds behind him, and heard the assailant wail in pain. Everyone heard the shots and woke up, but the assailant limped off into the woods. By the time the village got there, it was too late. When asked what happened, Reg replied:

Good game town, 4 scum lynches in a row hurts.

Setup is slightly townsided I think, taking out the JoaT probably would have balanced it. That would have left mafia with relatively safe doc, cop, and watcher fakeclaims.

As it stands it wasn't so much town overpowering mafia as much as it was mafia having very little to claim.

P EDIT: Mag, Neighborizer is a super swingy role, so I figured giving him less information (ie prelynch) drove it towards scumsided.

Anyway, probably host something similar to this next summer if there's enough interest, but not any time soon. Shoot me a message if you think you'd want to do this again.

On another note, if you like my flavor/modding, I am running Post-Apocalyptic mafia on the 28th, pre /ins are full but I can put you on a PM list.

Nikanor and Seraphim did well tbh, I think CMAR didn't give them the effort they deserved, and Diddin was just kind of an easy read this game.

The Pine vig was never supposed to happen. Mafia Doc was supposed to ensure vig would hit town or nothing at all.

I'm gonna be blunt: I don't think town had any super weak players.

CSL and DH prod dodged but they played their PRs decently, CSL's cop on Nintendo was good, though if I were him I would have held out using the roleblock/doc since he wasn't really in too much danger of being lynched and not at all at risk of being killed. Those are the only two players who weren't super active I can think of.

Gaoth and Reg definitely did a great job as mason buddies, Spyrex and Magua were very anti-mafia replacements, and ToD+TO were townie enough looking to avoid being lynched. I wish Furry could have played longer into the game.
