After the crowd had agreed on his lynch, Seraphim sat down on the edge of the stage. He stared at the waters that had calmed some of the previous targets before, but he found no solace in it. He debated running...running back home to his family. He would never make it.

He grinned as the town strung him up.

"You wanna know what we did to Juls?", he whispered.

"We beat the living shit out of her. Tortured her. Shot her in the foot with her own gun. Then beat her to death with it. Those screams...they soothed me. And to think you all slept through it. And Cogito Ergo Sum? My brilliant idea. What better way to send a message to you guys than to give you a taste of your own medicine. Seeing one of your own strung up. The looks on your faces. It was damn near beautiful. But the best was Spyrex. Watching him run around screaming for an hour; watching his sanity slowly slip from his grasp. Watching the mind that sniffed some of us out crumble before us...Poetic, really.

A dark figure sat across the table from Regfan.

"We respect you, we really do. You hunted down so many of us. But its your time now. You can quit the hunt, but it won't save you. You can never leave here, Reg."

Regfan shook his head and chuckled.

The masked figure took out a knife, jumped across the table, and charged Regfan. Regfan dodged the assualt and ran out into the open. It was still late at night. No one to help. He continued to run until he got to a hidden lodge deep in the woods. He found a gun, loaded it, and shot at his assailant. The masked man took cover in some nearby bushes and waited for Reg to emerge from his hideout. After a long standoff, Reg left the safety of his cabin. The man jumped out from behind and stabbed Reg in the stomach. Regfan managed to shoot a few rounds behind him, and heard the assailant wail in pain. Everyone heard the shots and woke up, but the assailant limped off into the woods. By the time the village got there, it was too late. When asked what happened, Reg replied:

It comes down like this:

Nikanor is a suspect for play reasons: he acts scummy, he and Seraphim buddied eachother, and while I liked his position on the diddin wagon, he did his best to derail the CMAR wagon and didn't comment at all on the Seraphim one..

Gorilla is a suspect for mechanical reasons: there being a Neighborizer and a Masonizer, and because his play in general sucks (but not in a specifically scummy sense).

Play > mechanics.

Interesting data I just read in the Neighborhood QT: Regfan claims masons with Gaoth in the Neighborhood QT August 7th -- this was during D4 when CMAR was lynched. Both Gorilla and Trumpet of Doom were in the Neighborhood and saw this information. Regfan was planning on fakeclaiming SpyreX as his mason partner.

Now, killing Gaoth would've been out of the question self-incriminating, but Regfan could've easily been killed N4 and no one would've batted an eye -- Regfan even claimed because he thought he was going to die. Instead, SpyreX died.

Really makes me feel a lot better on Nikanor.
