*smacks Raffles on the nose with a newspaper*
kinkster - oh yes we would. your reaction tells me some things. they may be right, they may be wrong but it's been noted.
even no defense from a person can lead to information being gleaned from other people.Your happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life.-

hahaha.
you want info on me re mole?
I just hate him for the lousy slacker he is. no need to read much into my actions re mole.
I've known him longer than you and know what to expect from him or lack thereof.
So...
Now if I'm going to be scummy with someone else...please be sure to make a note of that.
mole sux.

If not mole, I'm happy lynching cubsfan.
There are two pros to lynching him.
A) Either he's scum and we're good.
OR
B) We et rid of a troll early on in game. He will probably always say things which rub people the wrong way. If he is townie, letting him stick around to antagonise the wrong person late in the game is not a good idea. In the even that it comes to a three way endgame I don't think I want to sort through too many of his 'arguments'.
With all due respect to cubsfan, from what I've seen of him here and on the GL, I'm not convinced that he's the greatest person for exhibiting cool clear logic and rationale.Your happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life.-

Haha. Guilty as charged. Almost.phoebus clearly wants to lynch people he doesnt like
I have a lot of fun talking to mole. It's just that he isn't the most reliable guy around.
And I have nothing against cubsfan as a person but just believe that his style may be detrimental to the game.
Cubs, call it ad hominem if you like and I know you don't post on the GL. At least not as cubsfan. In fact, even I'm not Phoebus over there. So...
scotmany...
Wow.
So you just want us to sit around and twiddle our thumbs instead of doing anything?
ok.

The problem is, one, or even two posts does not make a person similar to someone else.
my decision to vote for cubs if not for mole is based on a lot of his actions in the past.
if you're going to generalise or be judgemental and call someone a retard based on a fleeting first impression, I'm sorry but that's not sound, in any form, way or manner.
Unless you want to tell me that it's women's intuition...
And I'd still call you unsound then for you are not a woman...Your happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life.-

hey. if it works for you, it's ok by me.
at the risk of sounding repetitive, when i'm voting you because you can be a troll, can you please give me reasons not to vote you, without calling me names?
even then. if it works for you,it's ok by me.

Phoebus---><---kinkster
A) I don't dislike mole. Get it in your noggin'
I did it as an attempt to stir discussion. Which it has. And no, I would not have been too unhappy even if he'd been lynched without posting. There is information to be had in all behaviour.
B) You voted for me because you disliked my vote. No more reason.
C) VitaminR is voting you for practically the same reason. However, I will call it a similar reason.
D) Dear Sarcasmo, did you have more basis or explanation than VitR does?
Phoebus---><---kinkster
P.S.: Thanks Stoof!-

Then stop making statements which point towards you having made such an assumption.kinkster wrote:I dont know u or mole couldnt careless if u dislike him or not
I am getting irritated at you only for your obtuseness.
You claim to carry on discussion.
You vote me for"disliking"mole
Now you say that you don't care whether I like or dislike him.
Plus, you say you don't know either of us from Adam.
Putting all of this together leads me to think that you're either very stupid or being intentionally so. Tell me which it is, so that I can decide whether or not you deserve a vote.
And yes! I'm defending VitaminR because I am his scumbuddy! Lynch me!
OR
I think he's making a valid point and here's a good one -I like him too! But wait...you don't care.
Just like you didn't care whether I liked mole or not but were convinced that I did not, I'm pretty sure you don't care why I'm "defending" VitR but are convinced that we're scum together.
Right?
This sort of statement prefacing a post makes red flags fly in my head.Raffles wrote:Argh, I've been poked... I'm back people, it's just that this game doesn't have much activity outside random voting and rubbish wagonning...
It's an absolutely ludicrous attitude for a townie.
Scum sit back, lurk and let confusion prevail.
It's townie responsibility to stop the madness and discern something out of it.
What are you playing at, saying that before mentioning anything else at all? *eyebrow*
Everything alright DP?
Is this some new laid-back, "wary of the n00bs" style of playing after your sabbatical?-

Raffles
No. I don't expect you to be a carbon copy of anyone else. That would make this game predictable and boring. However, I do expect a less lackadaisical attitude from a townie than yours. You wrote:What? Is there a codes of standards that all townies has to obey? Jeez if you want us all taking the exactly same actions, someone could have told me in the newbie game... What's wrong with saying it before mentioning anything at all? If I said it other way round, would it not have tripped your scumdar? Care to give me a model solution so I could follow it all the time?
So I quote the following for its truth content:
AlexP wrote:I don't think he's saying there's any kind of "code" you must follow. However, a townie should always be trying to help the town. The attitude you portrayed does not show that; it seems foolish and scum-like. Something scum-like coming from a townie is definitely ludicrous.. unless, of course, you're scum.
I also read Post 205 and I can understand your sentiment. Like you and Yos, I believe that the merits of such actions would probably be better discussed in gaming discussion thread.
However, with regard to this game and Mafia in general, I ask you If you are going to sit back and do nothing in a game and wait for others to do it for you,why are you playing the game in the first place?
Some possible answers -
A] You enjoy the game and are a townie. In which case, I would expect you being more active and less laid back.
B] You enjoy the game and are scum and are being classic scum, which I suppose you shouldn't be doing since you disdain classical behaviours.
C] You don't care for the game and are just bored and want to post on some BBs.
Now I know that the third option is highly unlikely but it's good to cover it regardless.
The way I see it, you are limiting yourself to just Day 1 in a game.Raffles wrote:But this is my point. If I make something happen, it seems to raise red flags anyway. I might do just as well post "I'm a scum".
While townies work alone, this is a team game where people, even dead, can count win if their faction wins.
Anything and everything you do will lead to further information, even if it kills you. Further information on how people responded to you during your trial.
Good play (on both sides, I suppose) would be a little more foresighted than emphasizing survival on day one. Survival is essential to enjoyment, yes. You should fight to survive in general. Yes. But fight. Don't sit back and like I said before, if in your fight you lose, there is still information to be had. In death, you can help your fellows.
This is why I don't think that a townie should be sitting back and doing nothing. It's a tad too selfish to be doing any good.
------
Now we switch you over to Obtuse Central
kinkster wrote:you just seem to be getting so uptight over 1 vote, yes i originaly voted for you because of ure whole lets lynch mole hes not gonna post so well get rid of him attitude
how uve reacted to it all is why im keeping my vote with you, and regardless of what u say u defended vtr when u had no real reason too, i for the time being think that was a mistake
I am not getting uptight over one vote.
I couldn't care tuppence for your vote.
What is annoying me is your idiotic determination to know what I'm doing when I'm giving you every possible explanation, which you are just not interested in accepting.
I really take you for an idiot if you think someone would be so blatantly obvious to defend a personwho had just replaced inbecause they were scum mates. Perhaps you do it. I'm not so idiotic.
I thought that perhaps we were getting our wires crossed but I see now that you are just being mulish for the sake of it.
I have no truck with stupid people.
So forgive me if I don't pay much attention to what you say any more.
Unless you are receptive towards explanations and willing to look beyond tunnel vision and narrow views.-

Wow. Perhaps scum led town into lynching you.Raffles wrote:Because I've mislead the town into lynching me, wasting a lynch.
Egotistical, much?
Oh and hollywoody...How am I following DP?
I don't even understand your allegations against me.
*sigh*
Choices choices and only one vote
unvote cubsfan ; vote: kinskter
You invited votes. Enjoy.
At this time, if it's not kinkster I'd vote hollywoody. Also, unless something spectacular happens, this decision is unlikely to change.
Modalicious: It'd be great if you could fish Cubby out of the woodwork though.Your happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life.-

woody.
Fascinating.
You have points. At least you've cleared up now that I wasnot followingDP along any lines.
To your credit, I don't think I'll be voting you any time in the near future.
Which leaves me happy with my vote.
Especially since the recipient himself seems happy with it.
What I find funny is the fact that the four most experienced players (potentially) are being accused of sticking together.
Now I wonder whether that says more about how this game is being played
OR
There's a freak coincidence that led to such players becoming a scum team.
However, with the most potential experience coming together, would they be blatantly scummy with each other?
Call it WIFOM if you like but this just struck me.

I tried a view all posts by of Jalyn and TS but I don't get the connection.
Like I said yesterday, the "rephrasing" of Jalyn's struck an odd chord with me yesterday but TS, other than being well...not solid, hasn't done anything particularly ridiculous in my opinion yet.
Raffles, however, has.
