Then your total profit would be 3000(n+1)G depending on how many times you care to trade with yourself.

About the infinite profit issue: I have made sure that every province has something to sell to Roma or vice versa, so that everyone could make profit without trading with other players. However, the game is about trading with other players, and this would give

more profit

than when you trade with yourself. Maybe I should have forced everyone to trade with other players, but I first wanted to see what happens when I do it this way. And in the example Raffles gave, it's true, but you need to have an office in these both provinces first and an office costs money to build and grain for maintenance. The only thing I was worried about was that the difference of costs between various goods is so huge (I did this to make it more realistic, one trade cart of gold is not only a few times worth more than a trade cart of grain), so that people in some provinces would have way more profit than people in other provinces. I plan to solve all problems by the myth powers, but I need to see if there will be problems first.

Wow, long post. Geraintm, you need to select a province that hasn't been taken yet. And HackerHuck too. Arabia and Africa are not chosen yet. Arabia has excellent perfume (incense), and Africa has low selling prices but also low buying prices.

All actions are instantaneous, except trade and lend because they need to be accepted first. You don't have to wait until the end of the week, but you can upgrade each office only once per week (and building counts as upgrading to lvl 1 for this).

I think theres some misunderstanding in making profit. You can buy something from your second province and sell it to Roma without the interference of other players, and this way you can become infinately rich, but it will take some weeks, for you can only sell after you bought and you can't buy anymore after you sold. All actions, except upgrade, build and offer need to be performed in a particular order. The buy action has to be performed first, than the trading and lending actions, and then you can sell. After you sold you can only sell more and use the upgrade, build and offer actions. Then you have to wait until the end of the week, so plan your actions carefully.
