Those posts weren't necessarily trying to draw attention to someone; he just stated his opinion. He wasn't talking inBOLD AND ALL CAPSor anything like that. I do agree that his voting patterns are odd, but that doesn't necessarily mean he is scum. A first or second vote doesn't really mean that much.Wise men make proverbs; fools repeat them.-

Raffles - 3 (Jalyn, Toaster Strudel, Dragon Phoenix)
Dragon Phoenix - 2 (hollywoody1221, AlexPaoletti)

hollywoody1221 - 1 (Yosarian2)
Phoebus - 1 (Panzerjager)
Not voting - 2 (spectrumvoid, kinkster)
With eighteen alive, it will take ten votes to lynch. However posting has dropped offdramaticallythis week, so you now have adeadline of midnight on March 28th (server time). That is after the return of both Raffles and DP, and I will be more aggressive about prodding people in the coming week.
My deadline rules are alittledifferent than normal. At deadline, only six votes will be required to lynch, but that must be at least 50% of the votes being cast. At present, no one is eligible for a deadline lynch, but even if one person gets to six, there are still 16 votes cast total, so No Lynch. If someone gets to eight and there are still 16 votes cast in total, that would be a deadline lynch. I will post regularly if anyone is under threat of a deadline lynch at any time. Any questions, let me know. I consider this to be the most fair way to extract a forced lynch. You are of course still welcome to lynch normally; aseriousuptick in posting may get you an extension/retraction of the deadline, but it will have to be sustained and impressive.
C'mon, the mafia won't lynch itself (well, probably)!-

There's also a valid concept called "pressure voting", where you vote someone if you want to post, or vote, or something like that. You don't necessaraly want them lynched, but you want them to start doing something that will help the town, or stop doing something that will hurt the town, and you're using your vote to pressure them in that direction. I think that can be a valid pro-town stratagy.hollywoody1221 wrote:Ahh, but if you're trying to draw attention to someone, then you find them suspicious, don't you?
However, like I mentioned before, it makes me a bit nervous if that's ALL someone is doing.I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie-

Yeah, I'd like him to start doing a little more analysis about who he actually thinks is scum; like I said, I'm in favor of lurker hunting and stuff, it's a quite useful tactic for a pro-town person to do, but if that's all a person does it becomes completly impossible to read them.hollywoody1221 wrote:Is this one of your reasons for FoS-ing DP, earlier, as it seems like he hasn't added much. I first voted for him because the way he behaved, with the problems in his logic and OMGUS-like timing of some of his attacks, just made me think that he looked more like a scum trying to cobble together an attack rather then like a townie who's honestly looking for scum.Ancalagon wrote:I still don't see the real evidence for DP, but I'd like to hear from Yos as to why his vote is on hollywoody. To me it seems to be a bad town logic than scumlogic.
That feeling isn't as strong now as it was when I first voted him, his recent posts have been making somewhat more sense, but eh, I don't really see anyone else with a better case against them at the moment and some of hollywoody's posts still seem a bit off to me.I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie-

I'd like to ask for the views of those who have seemingly 'disappeared' from the game
1) N9V
2) Rand Althor
3) Scotmany (obviously when he gets time, as he has said a number of times)
4) Spectrum Void (when he becomes unsick)
5) DP (business trip)
6) Cubsfan4ever
Simply because I haven't heard their opinions recently, we need an 'uptick' in voting, and I don't resort to voting to get someone to talk. You send me to the hospital, and I'll send you to the morgue.-

Cubsfan, I overlooked your post, and I couldn't remember any recent activity. My mistake. And sorry about the SV she thing, had nothing to base it on. I just assumed that most people playing mafia were guys. Probably a bit chauvinist of me, but I can't defend that. You send me to the hospital, and I'll send you to the morgue.-

Okay, it might take me mere half an hour. Whatever.
Anyway, I've read from page 10 onwards in one go. Hollywoody, from the reasons you gave up (I think page 11), I can't place my vote on DP. I don't find the way he acted at all suspicious, even with your summary. I see voting for non-voter or someone who is not active as about harmful as eating my toast right now - i.e. it will never get to a kill.
However, I really didn't like this.
What if you are wrong? What if it reallyWoody wrote: If we lynch Dragon Phoenix today, which would prove that I was at least partly right, then we have moved forward a great deal. We would be able to follow the tried and true patterns of the game, and make our analysis from there, if only we cut and polish this theorem I set out among you.wasjust a normal stone?Woof!-

To make VitaminR's statement apply to me, "I still like my phoebus vote. I would also be willing to switch to Cubsfan" I don't necessarily disagree with the Toaster Strudel wagon but we have better options at the moment. I enjoy the awkward timing oif Cubsfan's Vote on TS. Conveintly after all conversation has been torn off that wagon; It could be an attempt to revitalize the wagon on TS. As a matter of fact, I have followed my logic to where the quot no longer makes any sense.Unvote, Vote: CubsfanSometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.-

Just got prodded! Sorry I haven't been posting. I've been paying attention but haven't had anything to say. From what I've seen, I think a vote for cubsfan or toasterstrudel will turn out scum. I may have been a little quick to jump to DP, though there's definitely a good argument against him. I'm going toUnvote: Dragon Phoenix | Vote: Toaster Strudel
