Actually, I just assumed that in all themed games, the character names are revealed. Our mod did not reveal them this game, and I was wondering if he made a mistake. I don't think that wanting to know everyone's character name is imcriminating in itself.

I'm not making much sense out of this. The characters would most likely be from the play, and most people know what happens in it. So why would the mod tell us everyone's name? You could probably infer everyone's role from that information.

There is a difference between a random vote (or an arbitrary vote, since it wasn't technically random) and a real vote. My vote on Miztef had nothing to do with actually thinking he was scum - in fact, I thought that he was probably town as soon as I saw his first post. I didn't feel the need to point this out, though, until Lawrencelot and Guardian started talking about it seriously.

If you were fairly sure he was town, why would you vote for him in the first place, and then feel the need to confirm your vote?

Eteocles, are you being deliberately obtuse? Do you think I actually wanted to lynch him for being from Ontario? I don't have any particular problem with random-voting someone who I think looks pro-town, because I'm obviously going to unvote if I feel that the game is getting serious.

I'm just saying that if you thought you could count on miztef not being scum, why would you vote him of all people? It just sounds kinda made up, thats all.

To me, Guardian's behavior is the most interesting aspect of the game so far.

It looks like some sort of post restriction. Red text and all the voting, unvoting... Guardian are you allowed to tell us anything about this?

I don't think Miztef should give up his role name. If Miztef is a power role, I think that could only help the scum.

Also I've noticed that Guardian always has exactly five red letters in his posts. I wonder what significance that has to julius caesar? I will poke around on the internet and see what I can find.

I did not find anything significant just searching online, but I'm not convinced that he still does not have a post restriction. He might have a certain number of slip-up posts he is allowed to make. I think it would be a risk to lynch Guardian today, as there is a good chance he really has a power role. There also may be a chance that he is a jester, or somthing of that type that actually wants us to lynch him.

Ok, well I'm still here. Sorry for lurking, but I've been a bit busy with the tests and all, kinda been putting off reading/posting. I think ryan's behaviour is being over dramatized, I don't think it is as scummy as some people are making it out to be, (sarcastro). I do however find guardian's (now simenon) fake PR very suspect. Not sure who to vote for but I think I still have a vote on sarcastro so I'll just keep it there.

Ps. I think I read that people thought my posts at the beginning were over dramatized (and stupid). Yeah I admit they probably were, I was just trying to start discussion If nothing else.

Ok... Im starting to see a pattern of everyone just pointing fingers at each other calling eachother "unhelpful" or "useless" without giving much esle substance. Sorry we all can't all be "pros" like you, but attacking people for being useless is just as unhelpful.

@Illumina: Who do I find most scummy right now? That would be Simenon and Sarcastro. I thought I made that clear in my last post. Sarcastro for arguing with and attacking ryan, who I see as more Newbie than Scummy, and Simenon for the fake PR.

Sorry, I hardly contribute at any time. Alternatives for me would be Simenon or Sarcastro. Less favorable for me would be Braze. Also, is the deadline still set in stone Pbug? I thought things like role-claims extended the deadline, but this game has been going on for an awful long time...

I can't really say if a massclaim would be helpful at this point. My instinct says we should hold off on it. I agree with Patrick, I am worried that it would help the Scum more than the Town.

I have not seen a massclaim on day2 (or at all for that matter), so I can't say how productive that will be. My instinct is that it will help the scum more.

I am willing to take a look at the braze case, although I was not very happy with how hard Sarcasto and others were pushing for him.

I was thinking the event that will empower powerroles is the Ides of march. That is the only thing that makes sense to me.
