You consider a second vote on a player a bandwagon vote?SSBF wrote:One it was because it was RVS. Two was to help form a bandwagon on him to see how he would react. So far, it's working.

Hey, I found a sheep.Socrates wrote:As for killing Reck, it might save on a lot of headaches, but I don't think it would benefit the town much strategically. Oh that sucks.Meh wrote: Elli, I've been pretty good, aside from losing a game earlier because my scumteam didn't submit a kill. (Nightless game, we were both lazy, we thought we had won as the lynch caused us to have an equal number of scum and town. Still.)

Not particularly. It's a perfectly valid thought that you might have just had the same idea as me, but voiced it later. I just thought it would be of note.Socrates wrote:

If the bandwagon was growing too quickly, you would be at L-2/L-1 already. The town would not be dumb enough to put someone that close to a lynch this early in the day.MehPlusRawr wrote:The wagon was growing too quickly for my liking. And yes, you did say that I was concerned about being lynched, in this quote.
I asked you why you were concerned about a bandwagon that wasn't even based off your scumminess, not why you were concerned about being lynched.Me wrote:
Why is he concerned about a bandwagon that isn't even based on him being scummy? It's not like we're planning on lynching him yet.MehPlusRawr wrote:Oh, hey, I don't feel like shouting. Let's wagon someone else. I have a feeling this MPR dude is town.
Wait, didn't you admit to being concerned about being bandwagoned? Now you're changing the story by saying "I'm getting votes, but since it's RVS, it doesn't matter.". Then why did you have a problem with your bandwagon going "too quickly" in the first place?MehPlusRawr wrote:It's not even close to an overreaction, either. It translates to "Eh, I'm getting voted, but it's RVS so it doesn't really matter. Anyways, I always like having other people getting lynched over me, because I'm always confirmed FMPOV as whatever alignment I am, and lynching people of my alignment brings me further from winning!"
Sorry, but I'm not playing the "town meta" card for that. Just because you're active doesn't mean that you're going to flip town. Argue all you want, but you can be extremely active but still be scum. Remember this game? You were a Serial Killer, yet you've made around 150 game-related posts in the game.MehPlusRawr wrote:MPR's Meta Tip of the Day: If I'm posting, I'm town. If I'm not posting, I'm either town or scum.
I personally think that any votes that isn't the first vote on a person can be considered some way or form a bandwagon vote. It just becomes more apperent with latter votes.Socrates wrote:You consider a second vote on a player a bandwagon vote?-

Why would we lynch me? This literally makes no sense.Korts wrote:As for Reck getting vigged: no. If Reck is to die by the town's hands, he will be lynched, no way are we going to vanillize a town killing role. I think this discussion can be fruitful--Reck's death means robbing the scum of being able to fuck with our heads, but also the town of a confirmed innocent down the line. Now, I think having a confirmed innocent in the endgame is very valuable, but will the scum keep him around for that long? Discuss.green shirt thursdays-

I have two scum games so far:Socrates wrote:SSBF: Do you have a recent scum game you can link me to? More than one would be awesome.
Smash Bros. Mafia: This was in Smash World Forums. The game went horribly for me.
Mini 988: Small Town Mafia: First on-site game where I was scum. Notice that my game considerably improved.-

This is a problem. I can't find anyone scummy except from accusations that aren't even based off gut. I'd like to lynch SSBF, but I'm pushing that to the back of my mind, because every single game I play in, I want to lynch him. Heck, if he was confirmed town, I'd still want to lynch him. Ask me again in a few pages.Socrates wrote:

When I questioned Incognito about his vote, he responded too quickly and with too much detail for it to be something that he just bullshitted in order to hop on a wagon. Incognito starts off in the town camp.
Korts drew on meta information when he was considering me indicating a genuine attempt at evaluation even though his meta information was incorrect. Suggesting a lynch on the confirmed town player would also take a lot of balls as scum.
Seraphim vote on me contains elements of self doubt and he did not try to sell his vote as more than it was, but he also didn't seem to be afraid of stepping on my toes. He is likely town.
In my previous experience of MPR, he lurked like a champ, while when he was town his lurking was only amateurish, and this is the most active I have ever seen him. However, multiple players in the game are aware of his meta (see: the sign up thread) and a scum MPR would have a large motivation to attempt to break that meta. He also commits the deadly sin of bringing up his own meta in defense. I don't consider his response to the wagon that built up on him particularity remarkable. His post calling me a "sheep" looked like he was going to jump on my counterwagon, but he didn't follow through. Slight town points there. When asked for some scum reads, he responded as I expected him to do as town. He didn't BS any reads together in order to fit some appearance of "scumhunting" and simply stated that he did not see anything extremely scummy, which is something I sympathize with. I currently like him as town right now.
SSBF is going full speed ahead on his MPR vote, and I asked to see his meta because I was curious if he was the type to be so unsubtle when scum. In Mini 988, the game he linked me, he does start off forcefully, using strong words such as "lie", "ridiculous", and refers to another player's play as "terrible", so this kind of play would not be out of character for him as scum. Something about the way he answered my questions to him doesn't sit well with me either, though I can't articulate why.
Right now I believe that the scum have yet to make any overt moves, for the most part. At most 1 scum has made more than 3 or 4 posts and I would like to spin this onto one of the background players so far.
vote: Demon Hybrid
Thoughts on anything other than MPR?
