EmpTyger - Thingyman
GreyICE - Antihero

P.S. Wiki page updated with ongoings.
P.P.S. We seem to have lost a RECKONER

EmpTyger wrote:It clears silavor because antitowns don't clarify matters to advocate a protown course. They might if it hurts the town. They might if it saves their own neck. But silavor could have easily stayed quiet then and let Reckoner's (genuine or deliberate) error hold. Instead he called Reckoner out. I don't see an antitown doing that.
Because otherwise no single one of the many competent players in this game would have come along and soon clarified it anyway? If there was any towncred to be gained by clarifying things first, why NOT take it? If you can see ulterior insincere motives in Reck, I can find them for silavor. There's no more "evidence" he's clear than Reck. It comes down to whether you read them as responding sincerely or not.
Antihero wrote:

No, he didn't. He was responding to Espy's "claim."
Which I saw as tangentially touching upon the claim issue. (Ditto Espy's "claim.") Yours was the only post I saw that completely ignored everything else happening inthread. (Which makes sense, now I know you're Grey's mason).

Am fine with claiming, but I dunno my partner's opinion on the matter yet, and would prefer to get his OK first.

UNVOTE: Reck
VOTE: EmpTyger

I don't like how he suddenly started claiming, with his lover following up on it. That combined with how he attacked GreyICE for indirectly supporting a massclaim and his quick townread on silavor makes me think something fishy is going on.
I'll explain it to you. You have to get someone else to understand it for you.

I agree with massclaiming.
Being able to read players in pairs will help us get more accurate reads.

Also since there are no NKs who wins 1scumv1town endgames and so forth?

Hey there! A vote for EmpTyger is a vote for me! Cut it out.

But yeah, I don't necessarily agree with my lover's suspicion towards GreyICE. Not yet anyway.

Don't like this post. It's far too overprotective. He leaves a back door to go after GreyICE.

lol

I was just being honest. You don't find it plausible that I as a villager early into the game would disagree with a read, but of course be open (as any villager) to reevaluating my read? Trust me, I will make clear reads.

None of this makes any sense to me.

Why is silavor town, again?

I'm going to guess we default back to our ol' 50% rule.

Which leaves 1 Werewolf/1 Mafia endgames a tad ambiguous, but I'm sure the mods have a super secret way of dealing with that that does not in any way resemble flipping coins.

So whose your partner?

I thought it was a lot of USA and UK and Australia and a few other places? USA here.

Haven't claimed yet because the game has started fast and I wanted to make sure there aren't actually good reasons for not massclaiming. Rushing into stuff without thinking is anti-town etcetc but this seems pretty clear.

Kirk <3 Starbuck forever! A match made in the heavens!

I like that there's no issue dishing out townreads in this game. Scum can't make much use of a shoppinglist without money or a shop. But yeah that's weird logic for calling Silvavor town; pretty much anyone could have corrected that. Maybe he was scum hoping to nip a potential source of towncred in the bud.

Bolding someone's name does not equal a vote on this site? You have to type in "vote <insert name>"?

Votes must be formatted as either:

Code: Select all

[b]Vote: Thingyman[/b]
or

Code: Select all

[vote]Thingyman[/vote]

Players are asked to familiarize themselves with the Rules of the game, located in the opening posts.

Pretty sure that people won't vote for their lover.

Most people use bold, but you can also type [/vote] and UNVOTE: tags. Just type:

Code: Select all

[vote]player X[/vote] and [unvote]player X[/unvote]

I don't have an issue with the townread, I have an issue with the fact that it seems to have been dished out so carelessly.

silavor actually didn't call out Reck for his error first, GreyIce did.

I didn't realize that scum didn't have NK.

In that case, there's zero harm in massloverclaiming.

Hey, apparently this game is going now!

Love you, too, AH!

I'm not going to claim w/o my partner's OK.

I honestly don't get how there are people who are against massclaiming lovers, there is literally no reason not to if the game is nightless. Read the rules, ffs. If scum want to push on weak players, they can do that whether or not we claim lovers. Plus, this would be incredibly unbalanced if scumgroups had NKs.

Lover claim: Kise

Kise, if you have a problem with that claim: idc.

Also, I'm going to

because my vote was based on the idea that scum had NK.
