The mod looked in sadness as lurkers lurked. "Why do they not post?" He shouted to no one. A voice, small at first, then louder, whispered "If you build it, he will come."

The mod took his building materials and made a shrine. Into it, he pured the malice and anger that bubbled beneath polite mafia play. He tempered the steel with raging constant posting. He painted it with the blood of fallen scum. He did these things, and read backwards from the Book of Solomon. And he beheld the arrival of a spirit of great vengeance and furious anger.

kuribo stepped from the smoke, looked at this lurking town and said simply, "I LIVE."

I thought interesting stuff would happen - kad self-voting I considered, I expected at least a few people to strongly defend kad, etc, and I was just going to analyse it once it was there. (But, yeah, Magikarp used Splah! Nothing happened.)

I assumed your lack of elaboration was just because you understood what I was doing (and with the QUICKLYNCH NAO I couldn't have asked for better reaction-testing-stuffz from you to work with in combination either. REAL shame everybody decided to not post).

you know god damn well you weren't fucking reaction fishing.

In post 192, Skenvoy wrote:Holy shit this game is devoid of posts.

I find it hard to read aggressive players (read VisceraEyes and Hoppster [although I've got a stronger town read on the latter]), so I'm focusing on another couple of players at the moment.

Firstly, Eijolend (TwistedSpoon). Most of what I find scummy here is TwistedSpoon's earlier play, rather that Eijolend's (although it's incredibly difficult to get a read on one post). Posts 87 and 89 are just him asking Hoppster what to do, and while Hopp was the only player really posting at that point, it's still "Oh I can't put forward an opinion of my own". Post 61 also feels off to me - pinkfloyd was on L-1 at day 3, TwistedSpoon says he's not sure he's scum, but leaves his vote on anyway (and, of course, kad hammers a few posts later).

Kad, kad, kad. That hammer. Half of my town read on Hoppster comes from his reaction to it, though, so it wasn't completely useless.
Still, I'd be completely up for a kad lynch.

redFF is weird, and he's been sheeping quite a bit. That said, nothing's jumped out to me as scummy.

Conman didn't really jump out at me at all, apart from him saying 'it's my first open game' in post 6, and not RVing until almost everybody else had. I've said I don't have a good read on VE, but honestly, people have actually been posting more since he came into the game. I'd rather lynch a lurker who I think's scum than a prolific poster who I think's scum.

Therefore, VOTE: Eijolend

Oh, and hi, Johhog!

Interesting. I myself am not very aggressive, being shy of using strong language. But why Eijo? His (one) post up to this point was at least decent.

Mod, please replace me.

For the record, I'm still doctor, and unless someone does something about Hoppster, town is still fucked.

Wait, what? You are ragequitting this game, because your top scum suspect doesn't believe you're town and other players don't agree with you? Sounds pretty standard for a game of mafia to me...

well, first of all, i fearlessly predict that after my death, everyone goes back to lurking. but at least i brought my carnival of lunacy to this thread for just a short time, and if i lynch me a fucking scum like i think i have, fuck it, i'll call that a win in my book.

other thing to keep in mind when i do this is that i'm always paranoid as fuck when i play mafia and generally assume everyone to be scum until they're dead, mod-confirmed, or role confirmed by myself

going down the list as it appears in the OP:

kuribo- this guy is town as fuck, and damned sexy. i'd let him fuck my sister if it weren't incest.

Hikari- I just finished up a game with Hikariscum, he did the whole fakerage bit during that game, so i could see him being scum here after the exchange with Sky

Johhog- town, duh

LanseVeritas- should have been replaced, but I can't get a read on a slot that has only posted once to announce his VLA.

kad- useless to this fucking town, just like lanse. leaning scum here, and his buddies gave him a pass on a smug-ass, smarmy-ass tardstatement at the end of Day 1.

Hoppster- read his early interactions with red. if red flips scum, and i die tonight, you sons of bitches better fucking look into Hoppster, since he's fond of pushing wagons on town

Skenvoy- Was unsure at first, but god damn, son, i like the cut of your jib the last few pages, so you're probably town.

Sky- I have an iffy-ish town read on Sky, but if red flips scum, this is another person to watch--- he thought red was scum, and wouldn't vote him, which is fucking bullshit. if it weren't for that one nagging fucking thing, and if i wasn't so sure about red, i'd say Sky is my second strongest town read.

redFF- i swear to fucking god, you idiots better lynch this obvscum. his lynch will be the key to blowing this game out of the fucking water, mark my words

Eijoland- Townish read on his predecessor, and Eijo rightly called Hoppster out on his bullshit play, so I'm leaning town.

Of course, alot of my reads also involve peoples' interactions with Hoppster. which is his own god damn fault for making himself the center of attention. that's my fucking job! (kidding, but if you can't handle the heat, you shouldn't dominate the thread and then go lurkerville like you have)

so to reiterate: redFF almost certainly scum, Hoppster probably scum, if there's a third under this setup and it's not Sky, you guys are on your fucking own because i'll be long dead by then

i don't believe his claim for one god damn second, but i don't believe in lynching the uncounterclaimed, either.

Unvote

Okay, in the fucking meantime

red, here's how this shit works: you claim vig, the town directs your shots. period. you don't shoot the person the town wants you to shoot, you fucking die tomorrow, no ifs ands or buts

and you fuckers better hold him to that shit, too. it's pretty fucking obvious who i'll be protecting tonight, so there's not a god damn thing he can say tomorrow if he doesn't take the shot the town wants.

so now we need to figure out who the fuck we're gonna lynch and who we want this dumbass to shoot

TTT = 2 Goons + Roleblocker, Serial Killer (Investigation Immune OR 1-Shot Bulletproof)

TT = Goon + Roleblocker + Godfather
T = Goon + Roleblocker + Godfather, Serial Killer (Investigation Immune OR 1-Shot Bulletproof)

0 Ts = Goon + Roleblocker + Godfather

We have an innocent child, so it's not number 1.
I find number 2 unlikely.
In numbers 3 and 4, there's a roleblocker.

But...

if, for the sake of argument, red is telling the truth, and i know i'm telling the truth, then the rolls must be at the very least, MVD with a maximum of 4 Ts. Since one M is Innocent child, one D is doctor. Five T's, with red lying does allow for the serial killer, but only TTT and T allow for it otherwise.

you're right, they almost certainly have a roleblocker.

if they have a roleblocker, and they know he's gunning for one of them, they can block him to discredit me, and kill me to get to our conftown.

otherwise, they have to block me and kill my protect target (hint: I'm not saying who it is) and let reds shot go off.

suck it, scum, lets see you gey a successful night now, bitches. You take mt pawn, I take your bishop. You take my rook, I take your queen. You pit me in checkmate, I buy park place, becauseive been playing monopoly the whole time.

I'm unsure about kuribo - while I wasn't happy with VE, I like kuribo's posts and trying to keep the game active gets him some town points, although that could just be his playstyle.

Hiraki is giving me headache lately. While his play style doesn't really seem all that convincing, what he posts is good.

I didn't notice sky as very scummy until now, but people keep making cases on him I took the time to iso him. What comes to mind is his awkward behavior, concerning the Hoppster wagon, and I see where you see his scumminess.

In [url= 378[/url], kuribo wrote:Eijolend- something feels wrong about this guy. Leaning scum. Seems to be hopping new wagons. Content is little.

Could you explain that wagon hopping part? I took a stance between Hoppster and VE, the two most discussed people at that time and I was the first to vote redFF, so if anything the others hopped my wagon, right?

wait, what the fuck is this? Sky was the one that said you were wagon hopping.

hold up man, let's not say things we can't take back

I said I agreed with him about Hoppster, not his reads in general. i don't acutally think Hiraki was "intentionally trolling" VE. I god damn well disagree with him that redFF is by any stretch a decent player. VE obviously thought Sky was scum, I thought Sky was mostly town until recently, as I pointed out in #381. And #402 really fucking sets my nerves on edge about Sky, doubly so with him defending Hoppster by speculating that Hopps may be new to the game when a simple fucking wiki check would show otherwise.

If Sky flips scum, I guarangoddamntee you that Hopps is scum, because of all this, and because of Hopp's vote on him. Look at this shit! He wants to be on Sky's wagon so fucking bad, even though he claims to think I'm scum. You know why? Because he feels like he needs the "towncred" that he thinks he'll get from bussing Sky, and he knows that he doesn't need to bother trying to get me lynched today because he'll just kill me tonight. And if some crazed fuckery happens that leaves me alive, he thinks he can parlay Sky's scumflip into some sweet town cred and get me lynched first in that 1v1 tomorrow.

Think about it. If Hoppster thinks I'm scum, there's NO fucking reason for him not to be voting me. NONE. He refuses to move his vote off Sky, onto me, because he says he thinks he's "caught scum." But... why not be voting me if he's so god damn sure he's "caught scum?" (Hint: He's bussing Sky, and it looks scummy as shit to vote for a claimed doc)

VE wasn't here when those posts were made, so it's pretty god damned disingenuous to act as if I'm parroting his read of Sky. Unless you think I said, "Oh! Shit! VE though Sky was scum, I screwed up, better go rectify THAT!"

hahahahahahaha

you stupid scum fucks

Johhog- confirmed
RedFF- confirmed
Me- confirmed

sorry, Fate, I'd have protected you, but you begged me not to. Protected Johhog last night. It was pretty much a coin flip as to which one I thought scum would target, and since Fate asked not to be protected...

Red, nice fucking shot.

and GOD DAMN I WAS RIGHT ABOUT HOPPSTER AND SKY BUSSING ONE ANOTHER

FEAR ME, MOTHERFUCKERS, the bitch is fucking BACK

now, then, you sorry sons of bitches, which one of you idiots is Last Scum Standing? And why the fuck shouldn't Johhog, Red, and me form a god damn VOLTRON ALLIANCE to fuck up each and everyone of you dipshits in turn? you scum moron. you actually went after FATE instead of me? His heart obviously wasn't in it, but you already knew I had hammered Sky, and you knew that I wanted Hoppster dead too. You fucking idiot. Did you really think that Fate was more of a threat than me? He didn't have to fucking die, you dumbass! Did you really think that Red was gonna shoot anybody BUT Hoppster?!

oh, it's on now, motherfucker. my nipples are hard, my hand's in my pants and i'm ready to put this fucking game on ice. goddamn, seeing hoppster and sky both flip scum feels so fucking good I SHOULD HAVE HAD TO FUCKING PAY MONEY FOR THAT FEELING

so let's get this fucking show on the road, BECAUSE I GOT ALOT OF SHITTY LYLO PLAY TO MAKE UP FOR. You killed Fate, you kept the uncounterclaimed doc in the fucking game. You idiot.

hmmmm

Skenvoy was the one that brought up the possibility of there being a roleblocker. There's no god damn way scum does that knowing Sky would flip RB if he's lynched. Skenvoy, help the rest of us lynch scum!

Hiraki, I don't see him arguing with Sky as much if they were scumbuddies. I could be wrong, this could be all MEGADISTANCING, but i doubt it. Just as easy for Sky not to call Hiraki a troll. and for Hiraki to ignore it and not draw attention to themselves.

So... Lanse? Or Eijo? Frankly, Lanse is as useless as tits on a bull, but maybe there's something in Eijo that would sway me.

In post 558, Johhog wrote:Also we might want to mass claim now, right?

Actually, looking at the randomization of the setup, we know this is what we have:

At least 1 Doc
1 1-shot Vig
1 Innocent Child
1 Serial Killer
1 Scum Roleblocker

The only setup that allows for a serial killer and a scum roleblocker is "TTT"

a 1-shot vig is a single V, giving us TTTV
A doc is a single D, giving us TTTVD, that's five rolls out of seven.
An innocent child is a single M, giving us TTTVDM. With the last roll unaccounted for.

Under this setup, there is no chance for a godfather. There is also no chance for a 1-shot vig and a regular vig (VVV)

It's definitely time for massclaim, because under the setup, we ABSOLUTELY HAVE a 1-shot power role left unclaimed.

this here is the correct answer, by the way. under the setup, there can only be a 1-shot doc, 1-shot cop, or town roleblocker left

Either Sky roleblocked you N1 or Lanse is town.

actually, that's wrong. there can't be a 1-shot vig and a vig, that would be VVV

there can only be a vig or a 1-shot vig. and since we have a claimed 1-shot cop, it's got to be a single 1-shot vig. so yeah, one of these "vigs" is scum.

Either the cop got roleblocked or red is scum, but these are the only two possible outcomes. And I'm almost certainly dead tonight if we kill the wrong vig, so make god damn sure you're paying attention.

Dunno if he's lynched yet, but Lanse's explanation of what he's been up to at night seems like abject bullshit.

In post 580, redFF wrote:LV why didn't you shoot me last night as i should be confirmed scum from your perspective?

this right here would be the slam dunk in the case

a 1-shot vig would shoot red instead of counterclaiming, because a vanilla townie wouldn't fakeclaim 1-shot vig.

the only thing that leans toward red being scum instead of lanse is red's behavior. and the fact that red would be just as likely to scumkill fate. but i think Hoppster made the choice to kill Fate. Hoppster fears Fate. Me, not so much.

I think he figured red would mis-kill town, and that he'd take out Fate so that he could continue his retarded accusation toward me about me and Sky "bussing" one another. (when really it was him, as I pointed out) Either way, Hoppster didn't expect to die, but he figured townFate had a better chance of catching him than a guy who replaced VisceraEyes.

in fact, killing Fate was a MONUMENTAL fuckup on his part. Keeping Fate alive would have enabled him to plant doubt in peoples' heads as to Fate's alignment--- especially if they had killed me last night like they should have. But, then again, Fate's just about the only person who's harder to mislynch than I am

hey, hoppster, btw

you don't get to call VisceraEyes' play "really really bad" when your plan was to try and paint an uncounter-claimed doc as godfather. i don't think this town was THAT stupid.

and what did I tell you about scum that tries to get a mislynch on me?
In post 331, kuribo wrote:
you do know what happens to tardscum that tries to get me mislynched right, fucker?

i'll give you a fucking hint, only CuriousKarmaDog ever pulled it off.

all the rest:

you think you're fucking good enough to go where only one scum has gone before?

Woulda been different if SV had selected NK immunity instead of Investigation Immunity, too.

What?

Obviously I don't need to convince YOU that you're the Godfather.

And in the hypothetical alternate reality where I am of unknown alignment but claiming Cop and you are town Doc who doesn't protect me, me still being alive doesn't mean I'm scum at all. If I were town then scum might have thought that you'd be protecting me and thus leave me alive. It still works.

your problem is you thought you ran this fucking town and had them eating out of your hand

VE, i've said it before and I'll say it again:

being good town doesn't just mean saying "Oh, this guy this guy and this guy are scum"

good town gets that scum lynched

although mostly it was that patently retarded "I'M SO TOWN BECAUSE I MADE THE ONLY CASE ON DAY 1"

that was so ridiculous, i'm ashamed that it took me coming into the game for anyone to call you on it
