armlx, I fail to see why every post must be 'helpful', right now we have 24 players and god knows how many scums. In fact, there are just as many anti-town townies as there are pro-town scums on the surface that its almost impossible to actually lynch a scum the 1st few days. A few has to die innocently for this to work.

I just want to get the discussion going and see how everyone is. No need to analyze my every word and see whether a specific word or phrase I used makes me anti or pro town (which I know is what TSN did when he apparently made the assumption that because I wanted to rush a lynch on non-confirmee Xtoxm that it 'easily' defined me as scum).

Ok, maybe everyone should try to use them, but the problem is how we will be using them. If we all use our coins to protect ourselves, nothing conclusive is going to happen. However, if we use them to NK or to see the identity of someone else, we might end up dead ourselves if we get targeted (and am not protected,s icne eahc person gets one action per night per the rules). Yet we can't come to a public concensus on how each of us is using the coins because the scums are among us, so its a crap-shot the 1st night basically.

Let's keep using farside's 25 coins as true (I'm guessing that's low, but no matter): That's about one a person. That means no one has enough to do anything. The problem here is people who know they are on the ropes will be eager to become our investigators. Because we still have to come up with a D1 lynch and whenever we start gaining the momentum on someone, they might step in and say 'hey, i'll investigate for you, don't kill me'. In which case, we will have a big problem D1 (right now). So should our priority right now be the D1 lynch or further plans?
Because no matter what, someone is going to die before N1 and we can either decide to do this meticulously and actually lynch the one who seems the most scummy (which might take god knows how long given the amount needed to lynch:13!) or lynch one of the non-posters (and assume that everyone so far who engaged in posting is pro-town) so we can get to N1.

Ok, guys I have to make a revelation that I think will help this game.

You guys have to prevent me from dying N1 no matter what. I can potentially save town in the future (if things go awry for us). However, to do that, I CAN NOT die N1, so I need the coins more than anyone else.

I can't tell you exactly why or how my ability works, at this point, I am risking my life by saying this but I need to save myself tonight. Assuming that no non-mafia will try to kill me, I just need 2 more coins (I have 1) to get myself a mushroom to protect myself.

I feel like I have to say this because I can not risk myself being NK N1, its not worth it to not reveal because I might be dead. In fact, even if I get NKed N2, it won't matter anymore because my ability is one-shot and after that I become a normal townie, the fact that I was able to exert my ability after N1 makes it a worthwhile death afterwards (but you scums don't have to kill me...even though you might be pissed at me ;]).

To make this work of course, no one should try to NK me if you are not the scum. And if you are scum, you can't kill me because I WILL be using the mushroom.

With all this said, the worst that can happen is that none of you guys trust me, I then will get NKed tonight FOR SURE (trust me, the scum knows I am not one of them and know that what I said does hold weight) by the scums and we will loss a potential benefit to this game.

Ok, so to sum up,

I NEED 2 coins from anyone

. I can't wait untill night and see whether I can gain coin or lose coin (since according to rules, either can happen), but thats too much of a risk. I need to protect myself.

I know exactly what I am doing, all I need is for everyone to trust me on this one and not try to NK me and for someone to give me 2 coins.

Ok, I am able to revive someone from the dead. What that means is that after D1 and NI, 2 will be dead. Assuming that at least 1 is townie (since identity is revealed). I can revive that person.

What this does is it publicly confirms 2 townies, me and the person I revive (since that person's identity has been publicized)

In addition, scums won't get any benefit from killing me after that because me and the revived go back to being regular townies (so killing us doesn't make no difference anymore).

Therefore, I decided to reveal rather than hide my ability, sicne revealing doesn't really increase my target IF it works out.

If I don't claim, there is 24 players, what are the odds that the mafia won't choose to NK me or than 1 of the townies might NK me? Ok everyone, LISTEN UP:

My original plan was to buy myself a mushroom and get myself thru the night unharmed and the next day, use the 1-Up mushroom to revive one of the 2 dead.

However, I forgot about the fact that the 1-UP mushroom is an item and that means I won't be able to get myself the normal (protection) mushroom until I use this one.

This is a huge error on my part and one that might kill me.
BUT... here's whats gonna happen. I will be vulnerable tonight to be killed.

All I can ask right now is that if there are any PROTECTIVE ROLES out there, i.e DOCTORS, PLEASE PLEASE please protect me tonight as I won't be able to do so myself...

I really did fuck up, but still yet, my claim was still not a bad thing because at least (assuming no protection for me) tonight every townie knows who's mostly likely getting NKed (me) and hopefully the fact that

armlx, phoebus, cream ,tsn, iamusername

all jumped on me (positively or negatively) might be able to give town some more information so that if I die, these are the ones you guys should investigate. So in a way, we can turn a major screw-up on my part into a good thing.

thats why i asked the pro-town doctor role in this game to protect me tonight so that I can use the 1-up mushroom the next day since technically after D1 lynch, no actions can be taken untill D2.

I think that my claim (though a bit rushed and kinda failed to do the proper job) actually did something really helpful. Because later on when we go back to page 1 and start an analysis, its kind of obvious that many players were clearly hyped/excited a bit by my revelation, so its not impossible that a scum is among them. Am I right?

I NOW PLEAD MY CASE TO SCUMS TO SAVE MY OWN ASS:

there is 1 unique property to the 1-UP mushroom (in addition to revival) that makes it an extremely power tool for the end game. As mentioned by Surye and me in page 14, that property of the 1-Up could potentially mean the difference between town winning and scum winning.

If I die tonight with the 1-up shroom, it's going to be gone forever. So why don't you scums out there leave me be, because this 1-up is now known and sooner or later (there is a chance it won't be used D2 if 1) we lynch a scum or 2) town deems it okay to save it. The 1-up might end up in your hands (you being a scum) since I have no intention of keeping it and will keep this to soemeone in the future, and that could potentially change the game.

What I am trying to say is that the 1-up has 2 sides for it, the pro-town definitely and the potential anti-town side to it depending on how its used. Now I know you guys won't ask me to reveal because only scums would want that to happen (lol). But Surye has confirmed it....and yea, just think twice before expelling the 1-UP from this game.

In a 24 player game, so what if an extra townie gets revived? the chance of a scum ending up with this and wreaking havoc on town is probably well worth it.

Don't you think so Surye?

Hiya. First of all, to Celeboki, who said I'm doomed tonight. My plea for scums to not gun for my ass tonight is what me and Surye said pages back. The mushroom has 2 abilities, 1-revival and the other no one knows about (besides Surye). In fact, I never intended to out the 2nd ability until Surye outed it. All I can say is that the 1-UP can be usefully (pretty nicely) as an anti-town item if it gets into the hand of a scum. In fact, if it is given to a scum in the future as an exchange, it will screw town over. Now, I am willing to risk that if the scums don't kill me tonight.

I don't really understand the wagon on TSN and Cream, I think Rogue is the most suspicious out of all of us. Going back a few pages, you can see that Rogue's posts about why he bandwagoned made no sense.

Farside - better be carefully what you say, otherwise the momentum can gain on you really fast.

Cream - you should stop saying you want to get lynched...then you don't want to get lynched, because that is a FoS-worthy attitude in my book.

somestrangeflea. Since you are still questionign my alignment, think of it this way. finding even a single scum is hard enough in mafia games, why would a scum be given an item that could potentially allow them to revive a dead player. ... okay that sounds WIFOM, but you get the idea.

The thing with the 1-UP is that it has an ambiguous alignment to it, and I think that is why this item is made. Since items are meant to be transferred between players in this game, it only make sense that the 'shroom be given a property that makes it dangerous instead of helpful if it is in the wrong hands, this makes it a much more interesting item.

@Alabaska, I also agree that some sort of consenus needs to be made on our prime targets, everyone who voted semi-randomly and not seriously should withdraw and we should all try to focus our votes on a couple of the most suspicious.

Cream, in the beginning, you made it clear that 'its okay' that we lynch you today because you are insistent on being saved by the mushroom (which I never said I will use to save YOU). Cream should claim around L-3/2. There is technically no way to test RBT's no-vote because of the possibility of other double-voters OR the possibility of other 0-voters*.

I don't see why RBT would make up that piece of info. even if he is not town, it doesn't really have any benefit to it, so I'll take his word.

If there are multiple scum-groups, then their win-condition should have something like wiping out other scum-groups. With that said, I ditto Korts on what he said about ashmite's keen attempt at finding DK scums, which seems a bit weird.

I still want those lurkers to chip in on these discussions; people like alvin and malthusis and other non-posters.

If Alabaska is scum, it wouldn't make sense for him to push for a lynch of a known non-Peach player (RBT), most likely scums will be pushing for the lynch of players whose roles hadn't be revealed yet to get a claim from said player.
