The life in this Sicilian Town couldn't be more peaceful than it was. A paradise in Earth, some called it. It was a good land, with lots of resources and a huge potential. However, in one night this little town turned from a paradise to a hell. It all started with a gunfight. Scared, the villagers waited until the morning when the shoting stopped to see what had happened. An hideous thing it was. The blood of the mayor was dry and his body cold when the town members found him lying in the plaza. Many were scared, many others thought it was a robbery. However, the killings and the gunshot exchanges kept on until only a few remained alive. It was obvious whoever was behind the killings wouldn't stop just yet. Fearing for their lives, the remaining town decided to do something about it. During the day they will gather in the plaza and try to find the culprits for these murders and lynch them; and during the night they will try to survive. It was, then, a race between town trying to find the murderers and the murderers trying to kill everyone else. But, town wasn't aware that the murderers were not a single faction...

Ingame rules

-Voting:

You may vote for another player using

-Lynching:

When a player has the majority of votes that player will be lynched. Further changes in votes will not affect this result. For a no-lynch, only half of the possible votes are needed. When a lynch is reached, you may still post until I post the scene and lock the thread.

-Deadlines:

Days will have a strict deadline of two weeks, subject to change only during certain circumstances (replacements, high activity, low activity, among others). At deadline, if no player have a majority, no lynch will occur. Nights will have a deadline of 48 hours.

-Quoting:

You may not quote any communication out of this topic. This includes role pms, questions to me, QT links, among others. Failure to do so will result in a modkill.

-Modkills:

If you break any rule, you will be, at my discretion, modkilled. Modkilled means that you will lose the game regardless of the result of your faction.

-Activity:

I expect a post from each player each 48 hours. Failure to do so will result in a prod. Failure to respond to the prod will result in replacement or modkill (at my discretion, taking into account the length of the game). If you're going to be away for more than 48 hours, post in this topic the VLA warning. I do not check the VLA topic.

-Death:

Once you are dead you are dead. I allow a single bah post, containing no information, but please at least try to make it funny.

The day passed, and the town finally reached a consensus. Many fingers raised against the old Me=Weird. Yes, he had been the town baker for so many years that it was hard to believe for many that he was one of the assassins. However, he was a bit weird.
"He had been acting suspicious lately," one said.
"I saw him the other night talking with a shady person," another one added.
"I never trusted him, to be honest. Anyone who makes such good bread can't be up to good things."

In the end, the old Me=Weird resigned and tried to take his fate on his own hands, but he failed. That wasn't enough for many, and in the end, just before the sun disappeared in the horizon, he was hanged to death.

An extensive search showed, however, nothing suspicious about the old baker.

Several shots are heard overnight. However, the citizens are already used to that, and they manage to get some sleep. The sun rises next morning, as always, and bad news arrive with the new day. It seems that some people are missing. They count themselves, and find to be short by one number.

The townspeople keep silence for a couple of minutes when the body of the poor young mechanic is found dead in the local workshop. Though no one says it, they all know that any of them could be the next one to share that destiny. And thus, with more resolution in their hearts, they gather again in the square, this time with their minds fixed in finding the culprits.

Another day passed, and another consensus was reached. It was a really slow day, with the opinions moving back and forth for the majority of it. But in the end, the town decided that it was the best option to try and lynch someone. Someone who was either too scummy or too naive. One way or another, it was best that going to sleep with the idea that they missed their chance to find the killers.

Katsuki, a young man who worked at the stables, asked the heavens for more time as hands grabbed him and put a rope in his neck. "I'm innocent, you must believe me! I'm begging-" he claimed as he was lynched, his last word killed by the rope.

The people went to his house and found a picture of his parents, who were killed in the initial murders, and a note saying "I will take revenge". The town then understood that they had lynched one of them. One of the good guys.

Yet another day arrives. Many citizens are just glad that they survived through the night, many others wonder what terrors had befallen them during the night. Some others just never woke up again...

It was clear as day that the gunshots that everyone heard during the night were the cause of the death of the old Stef. He was an academic of sorts, working in the local school teaching kids. It was surely a great lost for the town. However, that wouldn't stop them today. No. This time they were resolved to find the killers.

It seemed as if fear had filled this small village. People didn't want to participate much on this day, and rather decided to stay at home. However, in the end another consensus was reached. This time the victim would be Mr. Soundwish. A young but competent businessman who was in town closing some deals, or so he said. Truth be told, he was rather a lonely person. He wasn't even aware when someone hit him in the back, knocking him out. The townpeople grabbed him without much effort, and hanged him down till death. He didn't even make a sound.

A quick look at his stuff gave the town people a small relief. A gun and some shady papers showed that he was part of a mafia family. In fact, he was the grandson of the famous Luigi Benedetti, a fearsome gangster, leader of the Benedetti family.

Yet another morning arrives, and the ones who managed to survive during the night don't know if they should be thankful or not. More gunshots were heard during the night, which meant the killings hadn't stopped yet.

Still, they got out of their beds and gathered in the plaza, where a pair of cold bloody bodies lied. One of them was an old man who worked as a doctor in the local clinic. It caught everyone by surprise to see him with a gun in hand and near another dead body. It was obvious he was part of the mafia when they checked his id and saw his family name: Benedetti.

The other person was the priest of the town. He had served as a spiritual guide for many of them during rough times. Some of them cried as it was this priest who first served as a mentor in their childhood.

Some with anger, some others with grieve, and some shady others with happiness gathered once more to start their daily ritual.

Should he had anything else to pm me, like a night action, a question about the game, a vla announcement, he did not send it. And please, try not to discuss about possible or hypothetical mod communication or not, as that is modkill-friendly, ok?

The two men laughed. Their sinister laughter echoed in the once lively town, now a quiet graveyard. They have had a hard time during the first days, but as soon as they got rid of the other mafia family everything had been a piece of cake. They weren't sure if it was their disguise or just town frustration that had handed them the town, but they really didn't care. What was important is that the Albertini family had dominated yet another town.

Everything happened so quickly the men couldn't believe it had actually happened. First it was the town doc. Somehow they managed to convince the few others he was one of the assassins. Then, they killed the remaining townsfolk during the night. It was such an easy job. Ah, those Sicilians townsfolk were so easy to fool...

It seems as if this time, evil trumped over good. What a shame...
