Rules

1. To become a castaway, simply fill out the application below and send it to me, with a PM Title like "Survivor Application".

2. While this game has many twists, there are three consistencies: Immunity Challenges, Tribal Councils, and random pictures of kittens.

3. Immunity Challenges are competitions that you will participate in. If you or your tribe wins, you may not be voted out at the next Tribal Council. These challenges involve luck, puzzles, riddles, and strategy, but very rarely require you to post lots. If you do not participate, you will receive no penalty from me, but you WILL receive the scorn of your allies. You've been warned.

4. Tribal Councils are where the castaways go to eliminate other castaways. I will begin by asking questions which you SHOULD answer publicly. You must PM me a vote with the name of a castaway you would like to see be eliminated, as well as a reason. Please do not include usernames; if you do, I will replace them with the word 'kitten.' If you fail to do this, you will receive one Strike. If you receive three Strikes, you will be removed from the game. You've been warned.

5. Random pictures of kittens are self explanatory.

6. Deadlines will usually be 48 hours, unless otherwise stated.

Immunity Challenge 1

Ten Wooden Chips

In front of you there are 10 wooden crates. Inside each crate already are a number of golden coins equal to the number of the crate. For example, Crate 1 has 1 golden coin, and all the way up to Crate 10, which has 10 golden coins.

Each of you has been given 10 wooden chips. You must assign your wooden chips to the crates. You may not change your assignment once you have made it. Once everyone has assigned chips to the crates, I will tabulate scores. If you assigned the highest number of wooden chips to a certain crate, you win the gold coins inside it. However, if there is a tie for the highest number of wooden chips, no one gets the gold coins.

The player in each game that gets the most gold coins wins a special prize. However, Immunity is also on the line, so here is how that works:

- If players from the same tribe win both games, the other tribe will go to Tribal Council and eliminate TWO castaways.
- if players from different tribes win the games, BOTH tribes will go to separate Tribal Councisl and eliminate one castaway.

Either way, two castaways will be gone after this Tribal Council.

Now note in all of this madness, Zang is completely safe at Mystery Island. However, what he receives there is also dependent on who wins.

Click here to access an alphabet-typing test. You may complete the test as many times as you wish. Once you are satisfied with your score, send me a screenshot that shows both your high score and that you are on Mafia Scum (I find that stacking the windows does this effectively). The tribe with the shortest average time will win Immunity. NOTE: any castaway who does not submit will receive a time equal to the longest time of a competing castaway times two. I imagine many of you are familiar with an online game knowing as The eyeballing game. Well, today we are going to test how well you do in that specific game.

Once I have received all riddles, the castaways will be required to complete every riddle that is not their own if they want Immunity. If they do not submit a riddle, then they are automatically disqualified from receiving Immunity.

I have received eight riddles, which means that one castaway did not submit a riddle, and therefore will be ineligible to compete in the second part of this challenge.

Before you is a test of 8 riddles, all have been deemed solvable by me. You must try to answer the riddles as best you can. Each of you has given me a correct answer, but I will accept other logical answers. However, the winner of this challenge may not be the one who scores the best on the test; instead, it will be the one whose riddle is the hardest. To clarify, I mean the castaway who submitted the riddle that received the least amount of correct answers will win Immunity. It is possible to tie, and all those who tie for first place will receive Individual Immunity.

Unfortunately for them, none of them know what hat they were given. They know however that there are 2 black hats and 2 white hats. The wall (between Dwarf A and Dwarf B) isn't transparent or reflective. Also note that while the image doesn't show it well, D can see both dwarves in front of him.

Which one can save himself?

Picture an empty wine bottle with a cork secured at the top in the usual way. Inside the bottle a metal ring hangs suspended by a string. How is it possible to make the metal ring drop to the bottom of the bottle without touching the ring, the thread, the cork, or the bottle?

Because you can't smoke an entire cigar, each leaves a discarded cigar butt when finished. A hobo who collects cigar butts can make a fresh cigar to smoke out of every four butts that he finds. Today, he has collected 26 cigar butts. How many cigars will he be able to smoke?

A man has apparently been murdered inside a windowless room. There is only one entrance. The entrance - a door - has been sealed with duct tape so that if it were to be opened, the duct tape would tear. The door has also had a chain lock applied to it that can only be set from the inside of the room. The room itself is divided into three sections: a bathroom, a closet, and a main bedroom. A floor plan is available here. All possible suspects have been sealed in two rooms in another corridor. The rooms both have one window and one door. The rooms are sealed with duct tape that would tear if the sealed object were to open. Persons A, B, C, D, and E are sealed in room 1. Everyone else has been sealed in room 2. There are nine people in the two rooms. Three other murders have also apparently been committed in other rooms, one body to a room. They have been similarly sealed. The question is this: you have arrived to investigate the murder. You remove the duct tape, which has been untampered, snap the chain, and walk in to the main bedroom. You repair and replace the chain on the door as you walk in, resealing the room. The body is missing. You walk into the bathroom, and the body is not there either. Finally, you check the closet, and the body is not there. Ultimately, this means one thing: the body is no longer in the room. Yet the door had not been opened when you arrived. How did the body escape?

An old king is about to die and he has no offspring to inherit the crown. So he summons the three wisest men from his kingdom and puts them to a test. He tells them that he is about to put them in a room and have his aide put a hat on each of them. Each hat may or may not have a dot on it, but at least one hat will have a dot. They may not touch the hats, nor communicate in any way. The first one that correctly identifies whether his hat has a dot will become the next king. If he is wrong, or if he breaks the rules, he will be killed. Then he sends all three wise men into the room.

The king then tells his aide to put dotted hats on all three.

A few minutes later one of the wise men returns and announces proudly that he has a dot. How did he know?
