Hi everybody, and welcome to mafiascum. If you have any questions feel free to ask either FlyingDutchman via pm, or one of the inexperienced challenged (Me, Ibaesha, or Narninian).

As an inexperienced challenged, I'm suppose to introduce common phrases, like OMGUS (short for "Oh My God, you suck!", often used when voting people in response to being voted).

I think your stretching a bit on this.

As mentioned, 2 votes is hardly a lynch, particularly with 5 needed. Just throwing out your vote because of some perceived "tell" (especially a flimsy one), seems a bit over aggressive.

No, but someone with two votes has a much greater chance to get lynched than someone with one vote. I really don't see any point to changing the vote besides what I said. Now, he could simply have been "trying to move the game along". I'm not saying he's Mafia no matter what. But that looks strange to me.

I will point out that scum voting each other has gotten to be such a "scum tell" in newbie games that I would specifically advise my scum partner not to do this. (Of course, I'll let ibaesha or Narninian explain why that is a WIFOM argument and what WIFOM means).

I'm also experienced enough not to panic about a (hypothetical) partner having two votes on them-they stil would need two more votes to be lynched. (Although again, this is WIFOM).

That's why you would change your vote now. It would look very odd if you moved your vote off someone who had three votes. But with only two it doesn't look as odd.

And let's say you're NOT Mafia. Why did you change your vote? It didn't really do much.

However, not enough people have posted about this yet. I'm not going to change my vote yet. I'll see what people think about your FOS on Marback first.

I'm not ready to vote for him, as I've just learned to wait before voting.

mprty5, you will need to find a healthy balance between attacking everything as suspicious and backing up and doing nothing. Heck, I find your unvote of me a little worrisome, since I was nowhere near being lynched and you didn't move it anywhere. It sort of feels like you were caught with your hand in the cookie jar, and now are trying to quickly get out of town without being caught.

If unvoting makes people look suspious, then why didn't you say anything about Tyfo or Narninian? They did the same thing: unvoted people who were nowhere getting lynched. I'm not saying Tyfo is scum, I just don't get why you think I'm scum, yet don't think the same of others who do the same thing.

Of course I suddenly start defending! Before, I didn't have 2 votes and 3 FOSes on me. What's the point of defending yourself if your only vote is a random one?

I'm not suspicious of the unvoting-I'm suspicious of the very aggressive play followed by the unvoting. Again, it seems inconsistent.

Because after a vote on me and 3 FOSes, I found out the aggressive play wasn't working.
