1.)
You may not quote private Moderator-supplied information (either real or fabricated) of any kind. Paraphrasing (for role claims, etc.) is acceptable.
2.)
There is to be NO personal communication outside of the forum postings unless your role PM specifically allows it.
3.)
No heavy use of ciphers or encryption is allowed. If you're not sure whether something counts you should ask the Moderator before using it.
4a.)
If you have a role with a Night action your choices are due to me by the posted deadline.
If I do not receive your choice via PM by the posted deadline your action will be chosen at random. Note that "No Action" is a possibility.
4b.)
Exception: Any slot with limited-shot ability(s) will default to "No Action" if an action is not submitted.
5.)
Roles with Night actions will not be able to submit an action on Night 0 (i.e. during the confirmation stage).
6.)
Any player with a Night action may instead submit a “No Action” PM to let the Mod know that you do not want to perform your expected action that Night phase. Again, note that if you do not send me anything whatsoever, your night action will be chosen at random.
7.)
You should aim for one post every 48 hours, minimum, to keep the game moving.
8.)
I am the Mod, not your babysitter. Be civil to me and to your fellow players.
9.)
If you get blacklisted, modkilled, and/or force replaced, you don't get to talk in the thread again

Voting, Deadlines, and Player Death:

A majority of all living members must agree on one person for a lynch to occur. (The exact number required on any given day will be posted in the vote counts.)
11.)
Once you have reached a simple no further unvoting will change someone’s fate.
12.)
Once a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I post a death scene; all players including the one who was lynched may continue to post during twilight.
13.)
Please submit votes as:
VOTE: PlayerName.
Votes will NOT be counted if they are not bold! Obvious abbreviations or nicknames will be counted so long as they are unambiguous.
Note that the vote tags format votes correctly and are encouraged. (Caps are not necessary.)

You may
VOTE: No Lynch
- if a majority of the players are voting for No Lynch at any point the day will end in a No Lynch. Otherwise the no lynch votes are just like any other.
16.)
This game will have 3 week deadlines.
At deadline, the player (or No Lynch) with the most votes will be lynched. In the case of a tie, the tie breaker will be the player who has the first active vote on them. Should there be no active votes at deadline no one will be lynched.
17.)
I reserve the right to shorten the deadline
if I do not feel that the amount of posting is adequate, or if discussion has been too stale for too long, or if I'm feeling particularly grumpy that day.
18.)
You may petition me for a deadline extension, either privately or in-thread.
Amount of extension given is up to my private discretion, but it will not exceed one week (unless I am searching for replacements).

If you have an issue/problem with the game, please PM the Mod privately. Do not post issues/complaints in the game thread.

The Mod may make mistakes - please point out any mistakes gently. Mistakes will be corrected where possible, but sometimes mistakes are made that cannot be reversed. These will stand as final to be commiserated over after the game.

Please
bold
all requests to the Mod so that they don’t get missed.
24.)
Prods of missing players will be issued automatically after 72 hours of no activity or upon request after 48 hours of no activity. A prodded player has 48 hours to respond or risks replacement. A player who has been prodded 3 times is subject to replacement without further notice.
25.)
Rules violations will be dealt with according to their severity, up to and including a Modkill.
26.)
If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.
27.)
The flavour text is for entertainment purposes only. There is no setup or role information to be gleaned from the flavour. Don't even bother trying.

I reserve the right to break, bend, or modify any of these rules at any time, or add new rules.

Feel free to send me any thoughts you may have about the game at any point (via PM or AIM). If you're the kind of person who occasionally has to go ARGH to someone when things aren't going your way, or you just want to gloat to someone about how awesome your team is playing right now, I am okay with listening. Just don't expect anything in the way of hints/advice.
