Hello!

I'm the co and backup mod, Shiidaji. As a precautionary measure, with the exception of the applications, please try to make sure that all game-relevant PMs are sent to
both
Chevre and myself.

We're hoping for some newbies to join in on the fun, so if you have any questions or are unsure about wether or not this is the right kind of game for you, feel free to PM me about it, I don't bite.

This, the site is very user-friendly and easy to access, all you need is an email. It also automatically logs which QTs you've seen for easy managing. Once you log in to your account, all you need to do is press
My Topics
to view this list. Please send Chevre and me any game-relevant QTs.

As you can see, I'm V/LA for a few days, so any immediate problems have better odds of being addressed by Chevre until then.

Happy scheming!

There is already a system in place. We encourage players to make their own QTs and send them to us so we can re-distribute them to the Spectator QT. I plan to send out questions every Tribal Council. These questions can then be answered in the QTs themselves.

Alternatively, if you don't want Spectators viewing your QTs, or want us to make you a QT for some reason
(we're flexible)
, just ask.

Confessional Questions 01
[/b]

Favorites:

Welcome to your first Tribal Council, Favorites. Looks like the Fans are playing to win. You all know what this means. Before you go make this important decision though, I have some questions for you to answer.

Spoiler: Favs
[1] - Give me an outline of your tribe. You're veterans of the game, it's only natural that some lines have been drawn in the sand already. Your friends, your enemies, those who fall inbetween, anything relevant works.
[2] - Do you have a strategy coming into this game? Are you sticking to old tactics, or bringing out a whole new 'you'?
[3] - Who wouldn't you mind cutting loose on your tribe?
[4] - Do you have any past relations with the Fans tribe? Who would or wouldn't you like seeing voted out?
[5] - Past relationships inevitably affect seasons with returning players. Are you aware of any that have come into play? Do you have any yourself?
[6] - Do you feel safe on your tribe?
[7] - Are you enjoying the game so far?
[8] - Personal Question: What are your summer plans, if you have any?

Fans:

Congratulations on your win, Fans! Teamwork played a large part in that challenge, and looking over your team discussion that's definetly what pulled you through. As the Favorites head out to their first Tribal Council, I have a few questions for you too.

Spoiler: Fans
[1] - What's your tribe like? Are you a big, happy family, or is there more to it than meets the eye?
[2] - Who are your best friends on your tribe?
[3] - Who wouldn't you mind cutting loose on your tribe?
[4] - Do you feel safe on your tribe?
[5] - Do you have any past relations with the Favorites tribe? Who would or wouldn't you like seeing voted out?
[6] - What is your experience with Survivor? How did you get into it?
[7] - Are you enjoying the game so far?
[8] - Personal Question: What are your summer plans, if you have any?

The method of judging was very clearly outlined here -
Chevre wrote:I am the sole judge, so if you think you know my interests and intrigues, you can attempt to incorporate them into your shelter, but first and foremost, remember that you are building a shelter for a summery beach.
Both tribes were aware of Chevre's sole judging position for the entire
48 hours
of the challenge. Pointing it out after the fact won't change how 'fair' this challenge was.

Bias was covered here -

Confessional Questions 02
[/b]

Favorites:

Welcome back to Tribal Council, Favorites. Here are some more questions for you.

Spoiler: Favs
[1] - You've lost twice in a row now. Would you say that there is a lack of teamwork or unity in your tribe?
[2] - This is a smaller game than usual, it started with just 16 players. What does this mean for you?
[3] - Are you in the camp of those who believe that there are some who 'deserve' to stay longer than others? Why or why not?
[4] - Are you looking forward to the chance of a shuffle, or are you comfortable with things as they are?
[5] - Who isn't pulling their weight?
[6] - Personal Question: Have you ever been to the beach? How was it?

[A] - Public Question: Who came up with the tribe name, and why?

Fans:

Two wins in a row, Fans! Nice going, here are a few questions for you too.

Spoiler: Fans
[1] - With two wins right from the start, you guys seem to have a good formula for success. What's your secret?
[2] - Are you a leader or a follower?
[3] - Do you strive for individual gain, or success as a team?
[4] - Are you looking forward to the chance of a shuffle, or are you comfortable with things as they are?
[5] - Have you lied to anyone yet? Who?
[6] - Personal Question: Have you ever been to the beach? How was it?

Confessional Questions 03

Favorites:

Seems like things are looking up, Favorites, that's your first win right there! I've come back with more questions.

Spoiler: Favs
[1] - What's your plan to survive from here on out?
[2] - This tribe is stacked with experienced players, I know it's not easy. How safe would you say you are right now? Who's above you, and who's below?
[3] - Expecting any drama happening over on the Fans? Who's in control over there, anyway?
[4] - Would you ever consider throwing a challenge?
[5] - Who has the hidden immunity idol?
[6] - Personal Question: Second place, or last place?

Fans:

Finally, welcome to your first Tribal Council, Fans. This is a new experience for most of you, so as usual if there are any questions feel free to ask. Remember that you may not change your vote after you send it!

Spoiler: Fans
[1] - You've been a team that's worked together pretty well for a while, what's it like to have to cast one amongst you out?
[2] - How have things changed from game-start? Have allegiances shifted? Bonds been made or severed?
[3] - Is the person leaving tonight expecting it?
[4] - Would you ever consider throwing a challenge?
[5] - Who has the hidden immunity idol?
[6] - Personal Question: Second place, or last place?

The challenge is over, and the results are tallied!

The
Blue Tribe
managed a total of
71
points! Nice.

Which means it's up to the
Orange Tribe
to beat that score...

...

...

And with a score of
89
, they did!

24 hours
for your votes
Blue Tribe
, make sure to send them
to both me and Chevre

Try to keep it to a minimum, and naturally don't talk about anything even -remotely- game related, you had some time for that before the challenge.

Naturally if this conflicts with some other game on-site or modding commitments ignore the above, but try to keep banter in-thread if you can.

That's the 'both picking to cooperate' bit, it parallels declining to take a Task. In this case if they both decline they both go to TC but save themselves from progressively worse fates, which is the only upside, really.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE 6

Tribal Immunity – Beach Balls, Part I: Power and Control

A bouncing sphere of color.
Red orange yellow, green white blue.
Can you maintain?

Hello castaways. For this challenge, we have scattered across the beach six beach balls of various colors:
red, orange, yellow, green, white, and blue
. Your goal for this challenge is to maintain control of these balls. You see, each ball has a mystery point total assigned to it. The possible point totals are:
27 points, 40 points, 49 points, 60 points, 65 points, 88 points, and 92 points
. Yes, there is one extra point total, for added confusion. Anyway, if, at the end of 36 hours, your tribe maintains control of a ball, your tribe will get the point total assigned to that ball. So how do you control these balls, you may ask?

Each hour (XX:00-XX:59), each player may do ONE of the following actions:
[USERNAME] claims the [COLOR] ball!
- since none of the balls are claimed at this point, players may claim a ball. They will then have possession of that ball.
[USERNAME] passes the [COLOR] ball to [USERNAME]!
- If you wish, you may pass a ball you possess to another player. NOTE: Since you can only hold one ball at a time, you can't pass to a player already holding a ball.
[USERNAME] tackles [USERNAME] in want of his/her [COLOR] ball!
- To get a ball from an opposing tribe, you may attempt to tackle someone who possesses a ball. If your attack is successful, you will get whatever color ball they possessed. However:
[USERNAME] dodges [USERNAME]'s tackle!
- If someone attempts to tackle you, and you manage to post this within 10 minutes of the attempt, you will successfully dodge the tackle and maintain possession of the ball. You may do this more than once per hour, if necessary.

As is stated, you can only hold one beach ball at a time, since they are so big.

There is a trick to this challenge, too! Try to figure it out to maximize your chances of winning.

We will begin in
1.5 hours, at 9:00 PM
; you may begin claiming, passing, and tackling then.
36 hours
later, the challenge will conclude and the tribe with the most points will win tribal Immunity. Good luck!

Huh? Also, this looks a lot like the sort of challenge you'd want to be around at the start for. Guess that's lucky for me I'm actually up early enough for a live challenge for the first time ever?
Typo! It's 36 hours for sure.

The fun begins over an hour after the challenge announcement, so that's not really the start. Now you get time to plot, think, and plan.

Adding on to the above, assume that any lot shown that doesn't specifically say that it can't be given away, can. Incidentally, the person being offered a lot can decline the offer.

Clarification of the rules: When it comes to Lot transferrals, the intended receiver must post in-thread that he/she accepts the lot. Also, remember that all ownership/effects of lots will be finalized at the
end
of the auction. If you have a box, you must choose to
open
or
reject
it. If you have an item, you keep it at the end of the auction. If you have a Task Retribution Pass, you use it at the end of the auction.

Current Winnings

Lot 2 - Ani - Legendary Box
Lot 4 - orcinus_theoriginal - Task Retribution Pass
Lot 5 - kloud1516 - Spiny Black Box
Lot 6 - JDGA - Pocket Sand

Also, since there're fewer bidders now (Cephrir and orcinus are the only able bidders left at this point in time): If you'd like to cut this phase short and move on to the next set of lots, post in-thread. If they exist, of course. Otherwise, the auction continues!

You and Cephrir together can still choose to end the auction early, but only if you want to. I changed the wording of the modpost in order to retain ambiguity, to keep you guessing, and to keep with the spirit of the action! Choose wisely.

Technically, if he so chose to do so, Cephrir can up his bid incrementally for whatever reason, so his say is also required.

The auction for Lots 7-9, correct.

Edit: Oh, Cephrir said that. Now orc needs to confirm again, as I changed the modpost.

Interjecting to mention that this wasn't
exactly
what the box did. The item gave a lot of creative freedom to the owner, so when it was first created it wasn't necessarily intended to be used as an idol dispenser, Drench can be thanked for that bit of deviousness. I'm sure you could ask ani or kloud about it whenever you'd like, but be warned as it was a topic of hot controversy back then!

The moderating team hoped to be fair to both you and orc since we weren't sure if you were online anymore :) If orcinus decides soon and you're both online though the game can continue, if that's alright with you.

Also, should orc choose to outbid someone who is bidding with 100 right now, they would have to be considered for as well.

Candillan
must now choose wether or not he wants to use his TRP on himself or if he'd like to give it away.

Cephrir
, please read the note attached to your box out loud.

Warning, reader! Before you reach within this box, you have a choice to make!

If you'd like, you can
switch
boxes with any of the other box-bearers (animorpherv1 & kloud1516)! It's completely your decision! Choose wisely!

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE 8

Individual Immunity – Project Runwave

Beachwear comes in many styles,
But can it elicit the judges' smiles?

For this challenge you will be doing two things: finding a stylish beach outfit, and finding a model to wear it.

First, you will need to find a model! In exactly
one hour
, the die-rolling phase will commence. During the die rolling phase, every hour (XX:00-XX:59), you have the chance to roll a six-sided die. If you get a
one, two, three, or four
, you have failed in finding a model on the beach and will have to try again. However, if you roll a
five or a six
, you will have found a person willing to model!
If it is a five, it is a
female
model, and if it is a six, it is a
male
model. This is very relevant in the second part of the challenge.

Once you have found your model, you will need find an outfit for the beach. Your choices need to be based on a variety of things. First of all, it must match the gender of your model! Second, it should adhere to the game's overall theme of summer. This can be assisted by using the colors of brown, yellow, blue, and orange. We recommend using the Internet and its bevy of images to your advantage. While it is not necessary, drawing/employing other types of artistic mediums to express your creativity in the challenge is very much appreciated, and may sway the judges in your favor.

Please consider the following criteria when creating your outfit:

1) Is the outfit visually appealing?
2) Does it adhere to the overall theme of summer?
3) Is the design creative/innovative?

Of course, again, it must match the given gender, or you instantly lost the challenge.

When you have found an applicable outfit, post it
in the thread
, in public. Yes, in public. Have you ever seen a fashion show where all the models come out on the runway at once? I think not. Be warned, however, as if you've posted your outfit already, you may not post another. The judges do not allow second chances.

You have
48 hours from the beginning of the die-rolling phase
to complete this challenge.

Once that time has passed, we shall judge the submissions. The best entry for
each gender
will win
Individual Immunity
. Good luck!

-

NOTE! This challenge was designed prior to the backlash created by the judging methods implemented in Immunity Challenge 2. If you would like us to find three-four impartial mods that are not related to the game in any way, please let us know by posting it in thread. If a majority of participating players (4) prefer this method of judging, we will begin searching for judges immediately.

I'm sorry to say that as a result of Task 7,
Marquis

kloud1516
cannot participate for immunity. They can play along if they'd like, though!

Dazzling!

For future reference, please spoiler any included images like Ani did in his entry.

Also, neither gender category will be permitted to have only one participant.
- Should the next five dice rolls all be
male
, the seventh player would automatically be placed in the
female
competition.
- Should the next five dice rolls all be
female
, the seventh player would automatically be placed in the
female
competition as well.
- ... And so on and so forth.

The judges need something to judge, after all!

That seventh person left over will automatically join you in the female heat, irregardless of their rolls. Since they're last.

Er, I meant 3. So 4 people choose models, I roll the only female. What happens?
Well, they must have some terrible luck if they can't roll a 5 or a 6 in ~48 tries. I suppose up until a seventh playerslot is auto-plugged in by the above rulings, it is technically possible to win a category by default.

These challenges are made on the assumption that you guys want immunity though so yeah :)

This is a really disappointing turnout, guys. Half an hour to go.

@ Judges

Unless one of Candillan, Cephrir, or JDGA turns in a submission on time, you don't need to judge animorpherv1's entry.

Unless Snakes turns in a submission, you will simply have to judge whichever one of TS's/Cuddlycaucasian's entries you feel adheres to the challenge criteria better. (The criteria can be found on )

Thank you!

Congratulations to animorpherv1 for winning
Individual Immunity
in the Female Heat! Let's see who he'll be sharing with...

In the Male Heat, between TS and CuddlyCaucasian, the judges voted:

TS

Summer Theme: (
TS

TS

Welcome to
Tribal Council 8
! For anyone who isn't paying attention, there are nine of you left. Yes, that's right, tonight's elimination will become our first
juror
! The jury of the next seven people eliminated will have to make the most important decision of all, so make sure to keep this in mind from here on out.
  • For accepting Task 8,
    Candillan
kloud1516 and Marquis have lost their votes at this Tribal Council.
  • For accepting Task 9,
    Candillan
kloud1516 and Marquis will have one vote already against each of them at this Tribal Council.
If there are any mistakes with above

please feel free to point them out, otherwise...

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE 9

Individual Immunity – Opinions, Opinions

He said
She said
They said
Who said?

For this challenge, your opinions mean everything. The questionnaires collected from Event 2 have been compiled, and the F9 have all been ranked in terms of the eight attributes. Marquis's questionnaire has also been compiled, as has kloud1516's, though the latter won't be playing today.

The seven castaways competing for immunity have been randomly ordered like so:

Castaways:

1. Candillan
2. TS
3. animorpherv1
4. Cephrir
5. JDGA
6. CuddlyCaucasian
7. Snakes

Adjectives:

1. Cutthroat
2. Honest
3. Hot
4. Intelligent
5. Likeable
6. Summery
7. Untrustworthy
8. Useless

-

The rules of the challenge are simple!
The person at the top of this list (In this case, Candillan) must both
choose an opponent
, and
roll an eight-sided die
. The number rolled on the d8 dictates the round's adjective. (Do not tamper with the rolls!)
Then, the person must boldly proclaim
I think I am more/less [adjective] than so-and-so!
in the thread. If, according to the compiled list, the proclamation is correct, so-and-so is eliminated, and the next person down the list gets to make a proclamation. If the proclamation is wrong, however, the challenged person is the new chooser instead.
The challenge continues until one person is left. Said person wins
Individual Immunity
.

(Passing your turn is a valid move. Incidentally, should the person on the bottom of the list get a proclamation correct, the person on the top of the list goes next.)
(Proclaiming on a tied ranking also passes to the next person on the list.)

24 hours for actions, starting now with Candillan! If you fail to submit by the deadline, you are auto-eliminated.

Ah, that's correct. I apologise, the three vote loss and three auto vote Tasks left me thinking in threes, Cephrir is right.
As Chevre is currently absent, I'm making the decision to allow kloud to decide wether or not he'd like the challenge to be reset or not to account for this.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE 10

Individual Immunity – Scattered Thoughts

To be quick and creative
that's all you require
in order to avoid
Tribal Council's ire

For this challenge, we'll be playing a shorter, more streamlined version of everyone's (?) favorite party game, Scattergories! This will be done in 1 on 1 chats with the moderators, at times convenient for both parties. In other words, it's a
Semi-Live
challenge.

Spoiler: Rules
1 - The game is played in sets of 3 rounds. We'll convene on any messaging system that allows quick chatting, such as AIM or chatzy.
2 - I will announce the categories, of which there are 12. Very soon after, I will announce a letter. Your timer, which is set up for exactly three minutes, will then start ticking. I will be using this site for timing - http://www.online-stopwatch.com/countdown-timer/
3 - In the time allotted, you must attempt to think of and write down a word or term that fits each of the 12 categories and starts with the given letter. Any number of words in the answer is allowed, as long as the first word starts with the correct letter. (For example, with a category of "vegetable" and a letter of "C", words such as "cauliflower", "carrot" and "collard greens" are acceptable, but "broccoli" is not, as it contains wrong initial letter, nor is "citrus", as it doesn't belong in the "vegetable" category.
4 - Alliteration is encouraged; phrases such as chinese cabbage are worth 2 points. When using alliterations though, remember to follow the category. You can use generic adjectives to score points. For example, if the category is food and the letter is G, a good answer would be 'green grapes' because green is the specific variety of grape. Germy grapes, giant grapes, or Georgia grapes would also work, even though they are generic ideas and not really names of foods. Writing a bad answer is still better than no answer though because there is always the possibility that the group playing will accept the answer.
5 - Stop writing when the timer is finished. You MUST post the 12 words by the 3-minute mark.
6- We repeat the above process, two more times, with different letters and the same categories. That means the challenge will take at least 9 minutes.

Spoiler: Scoring
1 - Following the list, players score zero points for an answer that duplicates another answer in that round, and one point for an answer with a noun no other player has given that round. Acceptable answers using alliteration score one point for each word using the letter.
2 - In the case of proper nouns, all parts of the answer will be counted as adequate provided each begins with the letter in play. For example, in the case of U.S. Presidents using the letter "S", an acceptable answer would be Harry S. Truman, as his middle name is the letter "S." Martin Sheen, however, was never a U.S. President, and therefore is not a valid answer, rewarding zero points.

You may not speak a word to any other competitors about this challenge. Nothing, no hinting at what the categories or letters are, at all.

Whoever scores the most points, accumulated through all the rounds, wins
Individual Immunity
. Ties will be actualized by anyone who added more acceptable alliterations all around.
I tried

48 hours for contact with myself, starting now! I will extend this deadline if personal life gets in the way of hosting a meeting.

In post 1975, Cephrir wrote:Oh, I like Scattergories! I'm not good at it, but I like it!

Please, please tell me we can't use more than one adjective per answer.
I'll make it so alliterations can contain a maximum of one adjective that isn't completely related to the given noun.

For example:
Cape Cod is worth two points, and acceptable.
Central Cape Cod is worth three and acceptable, but only because 'Cape Cod' is an alliteration and its own noun.
You can't add another adjective to Central Cape Cod though. Is that clear?

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE 11

Individual Immunity – Doubloon Game

Luck and good judgement are do or die
when you're gambling so low and high

Hello castaways! Today, we'll be playing a little spin on a staple Mishmash past-time - Coin Game!

The original premise of Coin Game is simple: Everyone bets a certain amount of coins each round. The round's lowest spender is eliminated, while the round's second-lowest spender is rewarded for their risk, receiving back half of what they paid that round. When there are two players left, the player with more money wins!

... That's the old, boring Coin Game though. We're playing
Dubloon Game
!
Double the odds, double the currency, and double the fun!

Each castaway starts off with
600
Doubloons
and
600
Spanish Dollars
. These are separate currencies that cannot be exchanged, despite what Wikipedia might think.

The two currencies will be played as
separate Coin Games
. Always specify what wager is meant for each currency, they're separate.

In the end, the winners of each separate Game will face off in a
one-on-one match
, using their respective currencies that they have left over, in a game of chance. How many coins you have left over is crucial, so be careful.

Whoever wins this match obtains
Individual Immunity
!

You may not speak a word to any other competitors about this challenge in private. Any and all communication about the Dubloon Game must stay in-thread.

24 hours for wagers, starting now!

Spoiler: Extra Rules
a) Should a castaway win both Coin Games, they
play themselves in the match
they simply win Immunity for being excellent.
b) Should two castaways tie for lowest wager, both are eliminated, and the castaway(s) with the second-lowest wager still win back half their money.
c) Should two castaways tie for second-lowest wager, they both get half of their winnings back.
d) Should two castaways remain tied at the end of either Coin Game, after the second-lowest wager bonus has been distributed, the loser of that final round breaks the tie, giving the win to whichever of the two he wants.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE 13

Individual Immunity – The Sand Between My Prose

rip a branch and
write with me
about the wind, the sand
the sea

Look
at that beach! Isn't it beautiful? Free of rocks and debris, it's just waiting to be messed with.

... And mess with it you will! In today's challenge, you'll be writing poetry in the sand!

Free-form, Haiku, Limerick, anything goes. There's just one catch - The tide is coming in fast, and the waves are getting higher. Your time is short, which is why your work has to remain
under 300 characters
.

Please consider the following criteria when creating your piece of art***:

1) Is the piece of writing creative/innovative?
2) Does it adhere to the overall theme of summer?
3) Does the piece have a fitting title?
4) Does it adhere to the character limit? (Title doesn't count towards limit)

Other than the above four rules - go wild!

-

When you have finished your submission, post it in the thread, in public. Yes, in public! There is no place to hide your beauty on the beach - Flaunt it! Be warned, however, as if you've posted your piece already, you may not post another. The judges do not allow second chances.

You have
48 hours
to post your submission.

Once that time has passed, I will appoint 3 impartial judges that will grade the submissions. Whoever obtains the highest average score wins
Individual Immunity
!

I trust the judges I select to be impartial, and there was no issue raised with the previous creativity-judging challenge, so I assumed you would be fine with it. If all four remaining castaways oppose public tagging though, the rules will be revised.

Our final judge,
Blackberry
!
Judge III, Blackberry wrote:First off, I haven't looked at the thread in awhile, so I can safely so it will be 100% unbiased! Unless there is such a thing as bias towards creativity and great work. In which case, I'm incredibly bias[ed].

Spoiler: Rank: 4th
The Memory of Summer

Regrettably, I found this piece very bland and unoriginal. The good news is you stuck with the theme of summer - which I can't say for all the pieces. Overall, this piece didn't move me at all and for that reason I had to rank you the lowest. This challenge just wasn't for you.

PS: GOOD LUCK AS TC, YOU'LL NEED IT!

Spoiler: Rank: 3rd
Tears and smoke in the summer

I thought this piece was very creative and moving. Unfortunately, the poem was supposed to be about summer, and I strongly feel this piece was about loss/love and the word summer just happened to be thrown in there. I also feel that the incorrect grammar in the first sentence of the poem does not help the piece. I would advise polishing your piece before submitting so that it looks like it flows together. Although I didn't rank you in the top half, I did enjoy this piece.

PS: GOOD LUCK AS TC, YOU'LL NEED IT!

Spoiler: Rank: 2nd
Kill Your Friends, Make No Amends

I felt the presentation of this piece was very innovative. I easily understood that the piece had to do with your personal summer playing the game of Survivor (and your internal conflict with the game). And although I like this piece, I do not feel that the poem related enough to summer theme. Great job on your poem though!

PS: GOOD LUCK AS TC, YOU'LL NEED IT!

Spoiler: Rank: 1st
Footprints on a Beach

Congrats, you've won the best prize of all: my respect! ^_^ I felt this poem was very creative and innovative! :-D It definitely had to do with the theme of summer/beach while putting your own twist on it. I felt the overall piece was great and moved me. *thumbs up*
What does that mean for the four castaways, then?

Spoiler: Tally
Footprints on a Beach - 10 pts
Kill Your Friends, Make No Amends - 8 pts
Tears and Smoke in the Summer - 6 pt
(+1)

The Memory of Summer - 6 pts

It's decided!

I'll be distributing a Torchwalk QT to the three finalists when I announce the final challenge, in which they can say whatever they'd like.
The Jury does not get to see this QT until after after FTC. I've never liked public torchwalks that are visible to all - they don't emulate the show at all, and they can influence FTC vote decisions.
Torchwalks are recommended, but optional.

The challenge would be... hard to compete in on your phone, but not impossible. Rest assured you'll have a good amount of time for it.

Final Immunity Challenge

< Part One >

these challenges
you've seen before
now are you ready
for something more?

Welcome, Final 3. You've worked hard all Summer to get here - Now all that's left is the Final Immunity Challenge. Or should I say, Challenges.

Today, you might develop a feeling of deja vu. That's right - These challenges are not too different from those of the past. Perhaps you learned something the first time around that'll help you? Perhaps you slacked off, missing out on the experience? Either way, you'll be competing in at least two Challenges, in a three-part Immunity Challenge.

The winner will be decided as follows:

Challenge 1: The three finalists compete.
Challenge 2: The Second and Third Placers in Challenge 1 will square off.
Challenge 3: The winners of Challenge 1 and Challenge 3 will have a final showdown for
Final Individual Immunity
.

-

Individual Immunity Part I – Castles in the Shifting Sand

Does this blank canvas of a beach look familiar? Good!

We've divvied up three portions of the beach for this challenge, you each get your own portion. Somewhere along this “beach”, you must create a
Sandcastle
using ASCII-style art and explanative text if you feel it necessary. There will be
three
judges, who will judge the pieces without being told which finalist's sandcastle is which.

Your only criteria:

1. You can't leave an indication of which finalist you are within your beach. Delete any evidence of this before confirming a submission.
2. Be reasonable with the size of your work - Don't make it unbearable to judge.
3. It should look like a Sandcastle! Be beachy.

Apart from that, you have full creative freedom!
72 hours
from this post is when the deadline for the Sandcastles ends. I will shorten it to
48
hours upon request, but that is it in terms of deadlines.

3 personal and private yWoT beaches will be used. There aren't any borders this time, so try to stay within a sane distance of the 0,0 point. Good luck!

(Expect your Torchwalk QT soon.)

What the hell is this? What am I looking at? I don't get this diagnol thing. Did gravity suddenly shift somewhere? X_x At least your window and entrance on the small tower is nice... GET A NEW JOB AND START BUILDING BETTER SAND CASTLES YOU WHIPPERSNAPPER!

4 POINTS GOES TO... Submission B.

It's a castle! And it has a castle name and flags with letters. And the windows are even. And despite the castle being named Subpar, it almost looks like the most effort went into this one... lol. Also it seems the most creative and made me giggle and it's ironic name ^_^.

2 POINTS GOES TO... Submission C.

This doesn't look very pretty... And I don't know what those three shapes are in the background, as they do not look like waves if that's what they're intended to be. The castle itself looks like it could have used more work evening up all the lines, and I don't like the deformed form on the top right tower, or the odd weird windows. I feel like you could have put a lot more effort into making it look like an actual castle, because it's incredibly lopsided right now. Sorry buddy/sir/ma'am/dog!

Individual Immunity Part III – Beach Balls, Part II: Balancing Act

Our final redux challenge will be between
Snakes
and
Cephrir
.

Red Ball

Orange Ball

Yellow Ball

Green Ball

White Ball

Blue Ball

Remember these little guys? Good! Get comfortable. This
Semi-Live
challenge will have you balancing them on these poles. As you can see, the poles vary in circumference. You'll have to adjust accordingly in order to keep them all up at once.

To re-balance a ball, post the following:
[Snakes/Cephrir] adjusts the [Color] ball.

The text must be in the same color as the corresponding balls.

While the balls will be released onto their poles at the same time, the varying poles will complicate adjusting.

The
Red Ball
must be adjusted every 3 minutes.
The
Orange Ball
must be adjusted every 6 minutes.
The
Yellow Ball
must be adjusted every 7 minutes.
The
Green Ball
must be adjusted every 10 minutes.
The
White Ball
must be adjusted every 15 minutes.
The
Blue Ball
must be adjusted every 20 minutes.

You must adjust
within the specific minute
, no early adjusting. (You can re-post adjustments that came early though)

In other words, if the Red Ball was adjusted at 4:45:21 (h:mm:ss), it must be re-adjusted within 4:48:00 and 4:48:59 (inclusive).

You have
72 hours
to begin this challenge and may keep going past the 72 hour mark as long as you started before the 72 hour mark. Whoever keeps all their beach balls up on their poles the longest wins
Final Individual Immunity
.

Jury Questioning
-

Now that we've heard the two finalists speak, it's time for the jury to address their candidates.

Jurors,
48 hours
for questioning. You may only make one
question
to each finalist, though you can continue relevant threads of discussion past that point if you need to.

Jurors must not address each other in-thread. Jurors cannot use the jury qt to discuss the proceedings, though they may whisper to each other privately one-on-one if they'd like.

Absolutely no pre-jurors may post in-thread, the same goes for spectators

24 hours
for responses to any remaining jury questions. After or during those 24 hours, finalists may post a closing statement.

After closing statements have been posted, jurors are required to read through any and all material they did not read through before finally PMing the moderators with their jury votes. Good luck!

Final Tribal Council

Summer Tribe
[/color]

Good morning! Everyone get their say in? Great. Let's begin : )

Spoiler: Vote 1
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX wrote: Honestly, I was planning on voting 99% going to vote for TS going into this FTC. But he's lied repeatedly in his jury statements to try and make his game seem better than it was. He wasn't controlling all of these people that were giving him information; he was just friendly and non-threatening enough that no one really ever wanted him out. That doesn't sound like what he's describing.

Cephrir hasn't really had much of a social game, and I definitely disagree with all the people saying he would have been safe even without winning practically every challenge. However, it was a very impressive feat, and I think he's been much more honest with me throughout the game than TS has.

VOTE: Cephrir

VOTE: TS
One
vote each,
Cephrir

As I've said before, I was— and am— torn between these two. I was always on the outside of this game, and that was mostly my fault for being unavailable and socially awkward often.

On one hand, Cephrir reached out to me more than TS did, even if only briefly as a fellow Fan and through the tribal switch. He's definitely worked hard to earn those Immunities and, well, tryharded this whole game. I'm sad we didn't talk more, but as I've said, I can't blame anyone for that except for myself— I'm just glad I made it to the Jury.

On the other hand, from an outsider's perspective I've always thought TS did a great job maneuvering around his V/LA and escaping votes through behavior and interactions, rather than just through challenges. While I'm not a fan of some of his latest responses, I can definitely see where he's coming from. Or maybe I'm just saying that. I don't know. Whatevs.

(And on the hypothetical third hand, neither of them gave me a 6-word sentence describing "summer", which was a big part of what I wanted to hear. :< Each Survivor game is unique, no? It would be a shame if everyone forgot in the end the basic premise and theme of this one amid all the drama.)

Anyway. Voting rights and trial by peers and everything are cool and all, and I've got to lay a vote somewhere, so... if it's not the "acceptable" choice, then. Well.

Spoiler: Vote 6
XXXX wrote:TS came into this FTC with a chance. It wasn't all that much of a chance, given that Ceph had been chaining immunity for ages and most of the jury felt TS had been carried, but it was a chance that could have been capitalised on had TS played the FTC right.

TS did not play the FTC right. He should have been honest about when he stepped up (F5 and endgame), but instead he attempted to claim credit for having survived the entire game, when instead he really only made it that far because a) he gave us his vote, b) ani was more important to target, and c) no one wanted to have to listen to his QQ if and when things turned against him. Then kloud and I imploded in a puff of wtf, and TS picked up the slack to ensure he made F2 from there. Sure, I could have accepted that and would have considered giving him my vote here. Instead, he tried to claim credit for the rest of the game, despite the fact that he was carried throughout and
the entire jury knew it
. If TS actually believed that he had really pulled himself through to the endgame then wow, that's really delusional of him. If he was simply trying to claim the credit as an FTC strategy then wow, that's really inconsiderate of him. Either way, he completely blew his chance, and as such this vote is either going to be unanimous against him, or 6-1 if Marquis feels like ruining my fun.

As for Cephrir, he basically played the FTC that TS
should
have done: He admitted that he hadn't played the best game, but indicated clearly the places where he had made up for it (namely, having chained immunity all the way from F6 at the very least, probably earlier but I don't really remember). Some people like to think that the challenges in Survivor are unimportant. Some day I think I'll host a Survivor without them to prove them wrong - not only would it be not nearly as fun, but it would also be more boring and predictable. Challenges are there to provide the perpetual opportunity for a twist to occur, and also as a method of surviving should the social puzzle attempt to turf you out. Claiming that they are a cheap or less valid way of making it to F2 is unfair, I feel, since chaining immunity is
very
difficult, and Cephrir deserves points for having pulled it off in his first game. Now TS has committed judicial suicide, and he's sitting right there to inherit.

Who am I to deny him?
VOTE: Cephrir

That's that
!

Spoiler: Vote 7
XXXXXXXXX wrote:
TS:
So while I understand that you weren't trying to talk to everyone, that still doesn't convince me of why I should vote for you. My view was unchanged. You were simply favored by an alliance that managed to crumble along the way. You boast about your amazing social game when in actuality your social game wasn't as impressive as you let on. You downsize the performance of your competitor when in actuality there was a reason for him being there, and it's not just the challenges. All in all, you performance in this FTC has been subpar in my eyes, and thus you have not earned my vote, I'm afraid.

Ceph:
First and foremost, you should definitely read my QT. Secondly, thanks so much for helping me out when the game started. You were definitely amazing on the Fans tribe, and I still felt our connection even though we were on separate tribes, and I hoped with all my everything (Cuddly, Kloud, and Orc can testify to this) that you would make it through against all odds. Come merge, I was proud of how you managed to secure yourself and work with Ani so we could get farther. Though the alliance between Ani, Orc, you and I didn't last very long, it was very nice in that it was a sign that you were still willing to work with me etc. On the topic of loyalty, I wouldn't have described you as disloyal. The four-man alliance was trying to save CC and hopefully keep him with us, and in the end we managed to keep him in the game. (At the cost of Orc, but that was due to the fact that the group really fell apart, and it was either You-Me-Orc-TS-Cuddly or You-Me-Ani-JDGA-Cuddly going through the rest of the game. (Though I personally didn't prefer the choice we made at f10, it's spilt milk.) The next case which could possibly be construed as disloyal would be my vote at f7. As you might see in my QT, I understood and accepted that vote, and I don't actually hold it against you. From then on, I'm not exactly sure what happened considering I thought you to be on the outside after my vote. You somehow made your way to F2 (And again, I doubt it was solely due to the ICs), and that in and of itself is an accomplishment. Despite F6 containing only two fans as opposed to the four favorites, you went against all odds, and you've definitely earned my vote. Congrats, Ceph, and I hope you win! <3

VOTE: Cephrir

In a
5-2
vote,
CEPHRIR WINS SURVIVOR: SUMMERTIME (FANS VS. FAVORITES)!!!
