What? You were one of the earliest proponents of starting a bandwagon on Yogurt. Now that's it at lynch -1, you're unhappy about your bandwagon?Shanba wrote:Unvote
The case there was on YB was weak. I voted for him and I admit that. Why, therefore, is this wagon growing this quickly and is this big? Unhappy bout that.unvote vote lemming
Growing quickly? Your vote on him was on August 28th...like 8 days ago. You think that's quick?-

OK, sorry for my long inactivity. My inactivity period is not over yet but I have a day off today so I’m squeezing in a reaction in as many games as possible.
I have re-read the entire topic, and I think this game can easily be divided into two phases in order to give a more or less structural reply.
The first phase is the random/joke voting phase. It’s one of the weirdest random voting stages I have ever seen (not that I’m very experienced, but anyway). I say big WTF? to lemming and Shanba. Lemming, because he seemed to be trying very hard to distract everyone from this game.
Shanba, because, of his unvote/vote EmpTyger without giving any reason, not even when specifically asked for a reason later on.
I also note a bandwagon on YB for no reason at all, probably to start discussion except it didn’t really start any discussion. I also don’t like Crub’s first post, just jumping on the wagon without making any other comments.
After this phase, I draw a line at Post 53 to start the next one, a more serious stage of the game.
In 54, Samruc makes a good point about Shanba but he is asking YB to explain his Page 1 FoS on Simenon – here I go WTF? again. YB’s FoS was for putting someone at Lynch -5. Clearly joking if you ask me.
Samruc points out a good contradiction in Shanba’s posting in Post 56.
59 Reads:
I’m not with you here. If your votes were not random, why did you accompany them with random stuff? The only answer I can think of is: to make the votes look random while they aren’t, which is a scum-tell in my book.Shanba wrote:my votes were never random. Just the stuff that accompanied them. I made clear at the time when I explained my votes that they weren't random, but I didn't make particularly clear what I did mean was random, and for that I apologise.
Crub makes his second post, and he’s trying to draw us back into the random voting stage instead of trying to add something useful as a replacement.
Sir T is actually advocating a YB lynch on Page 3 – wow. Because of previous games he has played with him. I would rather wait and see what YB has to say in this game first, or have him replaced.
I don’t know why, but I really don’t like this.EmpTyger wrote:Now, examine the join dates of the players of this game. Mine is by far the earliest. So, barring replacement shenanigans, I expect to be a high profile target. I think there is a good chance I will not be alive D2. So if I want any chance of affecting the game, I’m going to have to do it *now*.
Any reason why you should so easily trust his vote record?Simenon wrote:
Any reason why I shouldn't trust your vote record?Simenon: Why are always voting for the same person I am voting?
And there goes Samruc, adding one more vote to the YB bandwagon.
Lemming puts YB at -1 now and I really can’t believe it. You can pressure a lurker with a couple of votes to get him to post, but if the lurker persists, you don’t lynch him: you ask for him to be prodded and then replaced. Which Lemming obviously knows because he has asked for a prod on me in the same post.
Shanba removes his YB vote but Sir T adds his vote to re-instate the L-1 situation. In his position, I would have said “hold your horses Lemming” instead of “I want to be on the wagon no matter how weak the reasoning it”.
Anyway, it seems now that both Lemming and Sir T have made a counting mistake. Guardian says YB has 4 votes, which equals L-2.
The last thing I note is a weird and useless statement by Crub.
Unvote, vote: Lemming.
FoS: Sir T.-

Hmm maybe I should have said ... I have seen a connection between 2 or maybe 3 pro-town leaning players but I do not want to bring specific attention to what exactly? More of a statement to say I think the mason's need to be more careful.Per wrote:The last thing I note is a weird and useless statement by Crub.Moo?-

It wasn't random ... it was an actual OMGUS as in Oh My God your craplogic sucks ... as I explained later on.Per wrote: Crub makes his second post, and he’s trying to draw us back into the random voting stage instead of trying to add something useful as a replacement.
As you know mate you can't just choose to have someone replaced because you disagree with their bad playstyle. Check out Open 29 there's a link on my wiki page for the type of detrimental town play YB is capable of. (Not that I'm advocating lynching YB because of it ... just that I can empathise with Sir T over it.)Per wrote: Sir T is actually advocating a YB lynch on Page 3 – wow. My case against YB would drop if he gets replaced, so I would love a replacement for YB.Per wrote: Sir T is actually advocating a YB lynch on Page 3 – wow. Because of previous games he has played with him. I would rather wait and see what YB has to say in this game first, or have him replaced.
The problem with YB, as I am sure you will notice in this game, if he indeed posts, is that he really doesn't say anything at all. He actively lurks so much that it is hard to say whether he is scum or not. I'd rather lynch off people like that early on rather than let them survive till endgame and make a mis lynch (he voted me, a claimed cop, in a newbie I recently played with him at LyLo allowing the scum to quick lynch me)
So, a YB lynch is a policy lynch as far as I am concerned.I'm back!-

To show you (and everyone else including Simeon) that I find people agreeing with me so early in the game as suspicious.Shanba wrote:I do not agree with policy lynches. Also, wth is the point in unvoting him if you're just going to revote him later?
The logic I use for playing is much different than what most people use, and it borders on being scummy. The scum tend to subconsciously find my logic good for them D1, like this YB wagon. For example, if YB turns up town, you can be sure that atleast 2 people on his wagon (excluding me) are scum.
Same goes for Crub, who at this point looks scummy to me for "empathising" with me.
My ideas and method of playing tends to be a bit radical and unorthodox. It is scummy to agree with it without any argument.I'm back!-

Well, I really don't know what to add to the discussion at this point. I'm slightly lost with all the different suspicions. I really don't understand the YB bandwagon and why it is going as far as it is. I'm surprised scum hasn't hammered him yet, unless of course he is scum, and that's your reason, or all the scum are already on the bandwagon. So, in order to add thoughts, I'm doing a PBPA of the first person on the list (alphabetically) which just happens to be crub:
Crub:
Post 1:Random vote YB
Post 2:OMGUS vote Jex
Says that his OMGUS vote on Jex was a joke and goes on to talk about bandwagons having multiple meanings in the game since we have masons.
Post 3:
Post 4:This post I really don't like. Why bring up that you know who the masons are? I don't see the point of this random statement, followed by an unexplained vote. Apparently he doesn't claim to be a mason himself, and doesn't believe that Sir T is a mason based on his vote. By saying that you have figured out the masons it makes me believe that either you are scum trying to pinpoint the masons, or you don't mind helping the scum by pointing out that the masons are supposedly obvious. Either way, I don't like it.
Post 5:Seem to be covering his tracks as he explains why he brought up the masons. He says that he wants the masons to be more careful.
Post 6:His last post goes after Per. Per had brought Crub up in a previous post talking about his random claim on knowing the masons. Crub responds by tearing apart Per's previous post.
Personally, I think Crub is getting off a little too easy in this game. I find it interesting that the group wants to lynch a lurker who's said nothing, but has let some of these posts from crub, who isn't super active, just slip under the radar.
